Seat relocation: Anyone notice the slim pickings?

Recommended Posts

I like my seats but I always take a look on seat relocation day. Today I noticed there weren't many seats left to pick from. I'm talking mostly just single seats left. Do I read that as a big uptick in season ticket sales?

I wouldn’t read too much into it but I would expect this to have been a very high renewal rate. There is probably some additional flexibility going on too with COVID.

As a side note my brother filed for a relocation and there are 2 sets of 3 in the entire stadium that will satisfy his request. ?? He wants one of the 2 sets of 3 next to the old press box, in the last row of the clubs in the field house side of the stadium. I was like “good luck with that.”

For me it’s not as much of a relocation as it is a new seat altogether. I’ve pretty much been sitting in this chair twelve hours a day for weeks. I’m guessing by the time the season gets here I’ll need a new one.

Let us just hope the season arrives this year...... and on time. Anything else would be absolutely cruel! .

I didn't see anything that impressed me. I used to love our old seats in 331, second row, on the aisle. Great view from up there.

I will pay extra for seats on the aisle at any event.

I’m in 109 about 2/3 of the way up. My relocation window is tomorrow at 2. I have four seats that are only two off the aisle between 109/110. Pretty great seats, I doubt I’ll do any better for a long time. I love being near the aisle. Old seats were also 109 and were lower, but like right in the middle of the section.

@Kirby Jackson...they didn’t even ask me if I wanted to re-up. I just got an email that said thanks for your payment. ??‍♂️ No response to an email either. I would’ve renewed but at least ask me.

Wow, find that hard to believe. I received 3 emails reminding me payment was upcoming, then email saying if on payment plan it was being extended, and the other day relocation email. My guess is if using GMail May have gone to your social or promotions tab.

Important people like you get all the attention, it seems.

Its total BS. There are seats available in my section a few rows lower - I know for certain they are not sold as season tickets - yet they aren't available for me to select. I bitched to my rep, but it doesn't matter...

I did search’s on both emails that I use. I found nothing, put a call into my acct manager, they’re out obviously due to covid. Sent an email, got no response. I figured something went haywire with everything going on.

in your section ..ODD numbered rows have 3 more inches of knee/leg room vs even numbered row......for real

Ask your rep politely and see what happens.

I did mine today.  Not much available towards the middle of the field (I’m in 132), but I moved  back one row and over 7-8 seats towards mid-field (and nearer the end of the row.

I was curious how the economic ***** storm was going to impact season ticket sales, but I guess the team’s upswing is more than making up for that.....

I'm in 135, approx 34 yard line near the tunnel out to the concourse.  They're good seats but I was hoping to get inside the 40s.  No luck.  There was a pair on the visitor's side available but I decided to stay put (not wanting to sit with a lot of visiting fans).  Have 10 years' seniority.

Seemed like there were a lot of good seats last year to choose from, today not really.  I was in the 12:30 window.  We got lucky last year and got great seats so it would be hard to upgrade anyways.

I was hoping to move though - even to similar seats.  The people behind me get wrecked and even bring weed inside in a vape pen regularly ... not how I want to smell when I’m crossing a border 2 hours later.  They also put Howard Stern to shame (who I enjoy with headphones), and the language is a bit much for me to listen to when I bring my kids to the games.

I was tempted to call fan services a couple times, but I didn’t want to be a jerk.

sorry to hear that. I emailed my rep a few weeks ago to see if we could pause payments for a couple months, and she got back to me within a day. Said no problem, she’ll get back to me in May. They seem very willing to work with people.

We’re fortunate not to be financially impacted yet. I’m just not confident right now that the season will take place, at least not with fans in the stands, so I figured I’ve got better uses for that $150/month in the meantime.

Anywho, not to derail the thread. I also always check in on upgrade day to be a looky lou, but I really like our neighborhood, lots friends nearby in 126 and 127. I only took advantage a few years back to move up just one row to be next to one set of friends instead of kitty corner.

I gave up my seasons on the aisle this year.
I only had em for a year but being in Canada with an unknown border crossing issue...I couldn’t pull the trigger.

I did very well with the relocation process this year. I moved from Sec. 313, in the third row to Sec. 111 towards the rear, which gives me some protection from the elements  from the overhanging 200's above my seats, latter in the season. Scored seats 1&2 in my row, which makes for a very easy in/out - particularly for 'Station Breaks'. Sitting around the 40 yard line. However, Ticketmaster sucks, and their lousy interface, makes the relocation process stressful.

One thing I didn’t like about the aisle was having to get up 75 times a game to let people in and out. Rather be ‘stuck’ in the middle with my manly bladder....

I agree 100%.  You couldn't pay me to sit on the aisle and be interrupted 100 times a game by the drunks who usually have no sense of timing when they make their move.

I have had zero issue with that..I love the aisle, stayed in my seats this year cause i am on the aisle. I can time things so well that on 3rd and long i run to the tunnel entrance and watch play...if not converted run to the head, get a beer, and be back in my seat for next first down. Miss the punt true, but that is it, but never really miss anything else..all for being on the aisle!

I am in 135 , row 24, but would like to be up around 35 or so. No go this year

Ha.  I sit 4 rows behind you in 135.

I will admit, your regimen is impressive.

The drunks tend to be towards the end zones.

@ the 40 yard line, season ticket holders are old enough (like me) where they are decades past getting S- faced on game day.

My previous seats in sec. 313, were near the isle, and it was never much of an issue.

Well I've been a STH for 11 years and never sat in the EZs so I've seen a few things occur inside the 30 yard lines.  In my section last year I saw an old buzzard 60+ vomit at his seat.  Maybe I have a low tolerance but IMO people sitting in my area sure know how to drink and it gets annoying getting up 6x a game for the same drunk with a pea-sized bladder.

I love that plan!

REminded me of the guy a few years ago that posted how to get out of the stadium and to the airport quickly via parking lots etc

The seats across the aisle from you were up for grabs when I was looking, I like sitting at row 32 just above you. Shorter run to the bathroom, and cant beat the aisle.

that’s why we like our aisle seats in the wedge-shaped section 127. Down where we are, there’s only maybe 10-12 seats in the row, so those interruptions are minimal.
