In another effort to skirt blame for the global coronavirus pandemic, the Chinese government has now pointed the finger at Italy as part of its ongoing propaganda campaign meant to sow disinformation about the outbreak.

A widely promoted story in China's Weibo social media platform claims that the virus could have started in Italy, not China, in as early as October.

The latest efforts come after several Chinese diplomats accused the U.S. Army, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, last week of bringing the virus to China.

The coronavirus, which develops into the novel respiratory illness known as COVID-19, originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province, in November, the World Health Organization reported in February.

China government now blaming Italy. lol They are blaming everyone else besides themselves lol.

JIM TREACHER: The Virus Is a Fire, and the Arsonist Is China.

“China did this. It’s not racist to say so. Telling the truth doesn’t make you responsible for the actions of racists. Thinking so, saying so, only helps the people who did this to you.”

BECAUSE IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE, AND CHINA’S KNOWN TO LIE?

Why the World’s Doing a Double-Take on China’s No-New-Infection Claim.

Still, skepticism about China’s no-new-local-infections claim is widespread, including, at least according to the anecdotal evidence, inside China. The doubt is fueled both by China’s Communist Party’s long history of propaganda and by the obvious benefits of changing the focus from the government’s initial efforts to suppress information about the coronavirus to its supposedly glorious victory over the disease crippling much of the world.

“A propaganda spokesman’s job is the turn messy facts into a clean narrative,” Andrew J. Nathan, professor of political science at Columbia University and a leading China expert, said in an email. “China is trying to bury the embarrassment of the Covid-19 cover-up in a happy story of triumph over the virus.

“But it feels like overreaching to say that transmission has completely stopped,” Nathan continued. “It seems that the message is political, not epidemiological.”

And we have a few halfwits here (including those over on OTW on COVID 19 topics) who would take the PRC's statements as 100 percent fact.

Urn deliveries in Wuhan raise questions about China's actual coronavirus death toll

New York Post

Massive deliveries of urns in Wuhan have raised fresh skepticism of China’s coronavirus reporting.

As families in the central Chinese city began picking up the cremated ashes of those who have died from the virus this week, photos began circulating on social media and local media outlets showing vast numbers of urns at Wuhan funeral homes.

China has reported 3,299 coronavirus-related deaths, with most taking place in Wuhan, the epicenter of the global pandemic. But one funeral home received two shipments of 5,000 urns over the course of two days, according to the Chinese media outlet Caixin.

I guess they figure if they are gonna lie, they may as well lie big. ?‍♀️  Pinocchio has got nuthin’ on the Chinese.

Seriously....Trump actually tells the truth, right....and you think that an ultra right article saying the Chinese are twisting the truth is credible....

This kind of b.s. should be in the area 51 files with Fox Mulder.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you didn't read the article. You know, the one written by the "ultra right" folks at CNBC.

I am confused by your insinuation- are you actually stating you trust the Chinese Govt over Trump? I assume I am misunderstanding your point because that would be the definition of ignorance.

I’m more confused then ever. Does the Left want us to trust China? Putin? The Ukraine? The Deep State? The Media? The Trump Administration? My heads spinning.

Ok I have figured this much out- Trump is the Devil. Everything else builds from that base. My Brother in law actually sells t-shirts that are supporting the deep state and is proud of people who lie to their bosses instead of just quiting.

Well they sure thought Russia was the cat's meow before Putin started reading Hillary's emails and forced millions of zombies to vote for Trump.

Maybe they'll get all hysterical about China if Trump is reelected.
