Name 3 FA WR who interest you...Go!

Recommended Posts

6'2" 215 lb 4.24 40   Breshad Perriman is my top choice. Big, strong, ridiculously fast, and just starting to show why he was a 1st round draft choice. I think his price range will be worth the risk. Having him opposite Brown will spread the defense and open up more of the field. Here are highlights from a couple of his last games when Evans and Godwin were hurt and he became #1 option.

Perriman and Demarcus Robinson. I don't really have a 3rd so I will go with one in the draft. I really wanna trade up for 1 of the top 3 if they fall to around 15. Ruggs would be so dangerous with the cannon Allen has.

Amari Cooper and AJ Green are the only two guys who I believe can come in and unseat someone.

Perriman or Latimer types aren’t going to beat our McKenzie who has been with this offense for multiple years.

Its a bad year for Free Agent WRs. They need to draft two guys in the first 4 rounds imo

Perriman and Latimer are both 6'2" 215, McKenzie is 5'8" 173. They are not similar types of receivers. Latimer is as fast as McKenzie despite being 40 lbs heavier and Perriman is significantly faster than both.

I don't think a free agent would be replacing McKenzie necessarily either. The Bills have other receivers who would be let go before him.

I loved Laquon Treadwell coming out of college (which explains why I am not a NFL GM). He is 6' 2" 221. Has not lived up to expectations but has behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. I would like him if cheap (low risk - some potential reward), but other than him I would prefer to use a couple of picks in the draft on the position.

Did he not have a legal issue a few years ago?  Is he a high character guy?  He has talent but not sure if he fits the Bills profile.

Arrested twice for being a knucklehead. During one of them, he allegedly told the arresting officer he was going to ***** his wife.

He will not be a Bill.

Demarcus Robinson - what happened after his week 2 172 yard game?...still young, sitting behind 3 good receivers, wouldn't cost much to try out.

A.J. Green - still has a few years left in the tank...true #1 WR...1.5 seasons of time off to come in fresh

Breshard Perriman - 645 yards and 6 TD's sitting behind 2 1K+ yard receivers in TB...so far hasn't shown to be the rd1 guy but I'd give him a shot with Allen slinging the ball

"Nut in her eye" I think was the exact quote.

The Bills might have to take a personality risk at receiver. You have to just trust your locker room is strong enough to deal with it.

Like who? Beasley and Brown aren’t going anywhere. Andre Roberts stays for STs, McKenzie stays over either of those guys. So really we’re talking Duke Williams or Robert Foster(who wasn’t even really active most of the time). I think Duke has a much higher upside than Latimer at this point and Perriman has only had a. 1/2 good season in the NFL. If we’re talking Robert Foster than sure I guess they would take his spot on the inactives.

2 draft picks would in the first 4 rounds conceivably take McKenzie and Duke/Fosters spot in the roster or at worse McKenzie and Williams.

The WR corps looks a lot better with Brown, Beasley, Jefferson(1st round) , Duke Williams, Andre Roberts, and a 4th rounder with STs capabilities than it does with either of those guys taking Williams spot.

My question is.... why did it take so long to start playing at a high level. I question because he does have everything physically, does he have the smarts.

John Brown said Dabolls offense is the toughest offense he’s ever had to learn.  Bills need WR playmakers that get it if you know what I mean.

That’s one reason why I’m keen on Sanders. He’s a precise route runner with speed and SAC, but he’s also a heady veteran that’s played in complex schemes in Pittsburgh, Denver, and SF.

If we're being realistic:

1. Breshad Perriman - He battled some injuries his first few years, but came on strong last year for TB. He would be a big, vertical threat for Daboll to line up in various places.

2. AJ Green - He too has battled some injuries the last couple of years. But if the docs give him a clean bill of health, he immediately would change the WR dynamic on this team. If he's healthy, a big IF, he should be able to give a team a #1 threat for at least another 2-3 seasons.

3. Emmanuel Sanders - He's another on the smallish side, but he's productive, an excellent route runner, and can get open against anyone.

Gonna cheat and list 4:

1. Robby Anderson - don’t think I need to explain much. He’s a legitimately good starter if you can get past the personality.

2. Paul Richardson - can line up out wide and be an explosive playmaker when healthy. Has experience starting which I think is key this offseason. We’ve also been interested in the past.

3. Taylor Gabriel - basically McKenzie if McKenzie were good.

4. Devin Funchess - experience as a starter, red zone/contested catch target, Beane is/was a fan, would likely be a short and cheap deal.

Agreed -- One knucklehead on the team is fine as long as he's not paired up with other knuckleheads (see Browns, Cleveland).

In my South Florida days in the '90s, there was a saying about players from Miami (the "U") on professional teams. Any more than one was trouble. That stuck with me, but I forgot why. I think it had something to do with the school's partying reputation.

Oh man. Reading this thread makes me think we should trade up for Ceedee Lamb or draft 2 WRs in the first couple rds.  I think we need one stud as opposed to multiple solid WRs

I think we should draft two WRs in the first 3-4 rounds.  And, hit on one of them and hopefully both.  If we sign a FA (which I would like), we still should draft two with the quality available and our needs.
