Tyrod Taylor Could Be Chargers New Starting QB

Recommended Posts

Taylor with a solid defense could arguably get to the 8-9 win range and a playoff spot.

Shoot...had he been in Buffalo these past 2 seasons...comfortable to think he could have gone 16-16 with a playoff loss.

Chargers get the defense going...and settle the RB issue...they have a schedule primed for rebound.

The roster didn't match the scheme on defense during his tenure here. In the years where we had the players you mention our O was top 10 in scoring, but our D was 27th and 24th. Now our D keeps us in games and we can't score consistently.

It does seem as though we've been trapped in this weird "either or not both" limbo for years where we can't get both sides of the ball to perform in the top half of the league at the same time.  Of course, if Allen does take a step next year that could change.

Good for Tyrod. He's a class act. I hope he does well.

He won’t.   He stinks.

The man couldn’t keep his job with Chubb, Njoku, Landry and Odell trying to help.

He had a better record than Mayfield and lets face it that tie was on the kicker/OL.  Mayfield throws for more yardage and god knows everybody just LOVES 300 yard games. Mahomes might be the only QB that doesn't need a defense.  The rest of the league needs a QB that plays decent turnover free football and a defense that doesn''t suck.  For years we gave Taylor a defense that sucked and asked him to take lemons and make lemonade.  Not saying he's any teams next "franchise" QB and the guy for the next 5 years but he's a decent QB that could start on a lot of teams.
