Gameday Thread Titans @ Chiefs AFC Title

Recommended Posts

It's hard to believe that Tannehill is that much better than Mariota. It feels like something else about that offense has changed since we played them.

They were in trouble last week too.

Lots of game left.

Lots of Derrick Henry left as well.

Sure but the Titans came ready to play. Too often Chiefs rely on Mahones to take over the game. I am Vrabel knows that

So I am.

Just don't think that KC can be counted out yet. Even if Vrabel does everything right, Mahomes can often be counted on to be even righter 🙂

As good as Henry is, give credit to the titans line. Their blocking is incredibly good

The game is won in the trenches! Helps Tanny too.

I'm starting to think having 3 quality TEs (like the Ravens, Titans) is better in today's NFL than 3 WRs.

Mismatch, mismatch, mismatch...

The league started to move toward smaller, faster guys. Smart coaches started going heavy again. Believe it or not, we have that personnel too, we just didn't use it as much this season.

Man, Bills vs. Titans could have been an epic game with their physical style and defenses

In Orchard Park to it would've been epic

Wouldn't surprise me if Henry's on HGH.

He's been consistent since high school.

Titans don't look overwhelmed.

Why would they?

They smacked the Pats and then the Ravens in the mouth.

Why in the world would they be overwhelmed by KC?

I never said the game was over.  Just that KC is in trouble and they are.

Yeah it definitely seems to help. I'm not quite sure what else but since Tanny has been in Tenn he is like a whole different QB than in Miami. Maybe coaching and a change of scenery does make a difference? Henry is a big help for him too, but he just looks NOTHING like the QB that was in Miami for all those years.

I think in part they stopped limiting Henry's carries, but there is no doubt Tannehill was willing to make gutsier throws. Mariota plays too conservative (even running, which was supposed to be one of his positives).

The titans are playing some great football, but I expect Kansas City’s offense to get going at some point here. They’re too good to keep contained all game.

Ultimately i I don’t really care who wins anyway. I was kind of rooting for KC to see Andy Reid potentially win his first Super Bowl, and because I think a KC vs SF or GB super bowl could be really exciting. But the titans franchise has never won a Super Bowl, and they were the #6 seed in the east so I can find reasons to root for them too.

I don’t think so. Too many weapons.

Overwhelmed by the moment (AFC Championship), not necessarily the Chiefs.

Not to mention better protection and team culture.

Reid didn't want to go for it,  that's why they didn't have a play ready.  He should trust his gut.

Nah, they are playing with house money.

There isn't an ounce of pressure on them to feel overwhelmed.

They definitely do, but if they don't improve against the run...

Yup, and look, they converted! Andy Reid doesn't hamstring himself this time!
