Philadelphia trade their 1st (32) and 4th (132) to the Ravens for 2nd (52) , 4th (125) and 2019 2nd in the Lamar Jackson deal time move back 20 spots in 2018.

Green Bay traded their 1st (29) to Cleveland for their 2nd (33) and 4th (103) in 2017.

LA Rams traded their 1st (31) and 6th (203) to the Falcons for their 2nd (45) and 3rd (79) in 2019.

Maybe we’d have to kick in our 4th instead... I didn’t do in-depth research before my post and just went off the top of my head on what the value would be roughly... wasn’t too far off :)

You're still a ways off- our late first probably has similar value to their pick next year. Them throwing in their second as well would be overpay.

OBJ will never be a Bill- mark it down. The dude is a nut job and doesn’t remotely fit the culture.

indeed the Bills have done well to avoid signing established maniacs. no ab, no obj, no worries. would love big talented receiver, but no nut jobs. they do exist. larry fitzgerald and jerry rice come to mind. michael thomas.

I’m hoping for a house cleaning I like Atlanta.
What wasted talent there. I can see them not going full rebuild and just trying to solidify the defense though. Seems to be the smart route. How can a team with Julio, Ridley, and hooper not be an offensive juggernaut? The defense has always been suspect. Hindsight they were only good with shanahan and been kinda crappy every other year

Yeah, the 20/20 hindsight move would have been firing Quinn and promoting Shanahan right after the Super Bowl. But that would have been an unprecedented move by Blank.

Even crazier is the fact that the Falcons are already $3M OVER cap for next year! I'm sure they'll make up some room when they clean house, but damn, not a great spot for a new GM. It may be a 2-3 year rebuild before they are steady again, and by then Matt and Julio are done.

I’m not. Future 1st is discounted one round, all future picks are, so that can’t be the case.

Using the Bears (no 1st rounder) as an example trying to get back into the 1st to take a QB, say Jalen Hurts.

Value of our picks that I listed would be 832.6 (1,4,6,6).

Value of their picks (using the 1st pick in round 2 as value for their 2021 1st) 1,037 (1,4, 2021 1st).

Highly doubtful the Bears have the #1 pick next year so I’ll use a mid-round 2nd rounder for the future 1st value. Value comes out to 926.

Is it really that unreasonable to believe that Chicago would make that deal? Excess value is roughly that of a late 3rd/early 4th.

23. Buffalo Bills

Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State

Yes, John Brown and Cole Beasley have been a big part of the Bills' offense in quarterback Josh Allen's second season, but that doesn't mean the team doesn't need more help on that side of the ball. Aiyuk improves Buffalo's receiving corps with his versatility and speed. But don't be surprised if the Bills consider an edge rusher or cornerback here.

I hope not.  I want an elite pass catcher who is open when double covered, not a guy described as

"Aiyuk’s best skill is his run after catch ability...... He’s a fleet-footed speedster by trade who combines his long speed with physicality and some shiftiness."

He doesn't.

It's probably a 2 year band aide, but he'd give us a really good look at Allen and give us arguably the best WR group in the NFL.

Jones, Brown and Beasley on the outside, with Singletary and Knox, the supporting cast will be there to support what should be a top 10 NFL QB.

I'd still grab another receiver in the mid rounds, too.

If we stick to the draft, Tee Higgins or Justin Jefferson are the big deep threat targets we should be trading up for.

What about Ceedee Lamb?

I assume he'll be a top 10 pick.

He'd be great but I don't love the idea of trading numerous picks away to get into the top 10 when there will be so many good receivers available later in the draft.

Maybe he will grow out of it, but I don't think Allen will utilize a contested catch, 50/50 ball type receiver. He doesn't like to throw to guys in tight coverage. A receiver that can create good separation and then separate further after the catch could be a tyreek hill type impact on the O.

I honestly believe this is a big reason why Duke has been inactive.

If they clean house, they should clean house.

Tear it down for draft picks, be really freaking awful in 2020 and go after Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields in 2021.

That seems like a no brainer to me.

They'll be able to get a haul of picks for Ryan and Jones.

It won’t happen . Arthur Blank has said Julio is retiring a Falcon.

you arent totally wrong but I Think you are generalizing. Josh has thrown into tight coverage this season, especially these past 5-ish games. Look at the huge play in the game sunday night, the thrown down the sidelines to Brown - the "Renedage" moment. Brown was draped (and interfered with). Allen will make those throws.

Agree.  It's been true that Josh has been cautious about throwing into tight coverage because I think he got the message 4x4 that if he kept up with the 3 INT games he'd be playing L bench.  He had to retrain his eye to say "I think I can hit that window but....NO", and he erred on the other side of caution for a while.

But he's been gradually dialing it back up.  I think one factor is whether he trusts a guy to make a catch that is a little off or is contested.  He trusts John Brown quite a bit, although John has variable success making the catch he will defend it.  I don't think Josh really trusts anyone else currently on the team for that, and perhaps for (reasons)

He's improving at it, and I'm sure it comes with growing trust as well. Like I said, maybe he'll grow out of it. I'm just saying based on his current skillset I think a guy who gets separation will be more impactful.

Josh was putting up 50/50 balls to start the season. But the Pats game showed him that the current WRs either CANT battle for the ball due to their size, or WONT battle for the ball (a la Zay Jones). It's not surprising that he stopped putting it up for grabs, and took a lot of arc off his deep balls, after that Pats game.

If we can bring in a big, physical WR and they build that trust, he'll put it up.
