How many times have we said as fans, "Cutting that guy is going to burn the Bills in the end.  He's going to be a stud in this league and the Bills will regret their decision."   And how many times has that happened?

4.

Duke will kill the Bills, and others, once New England signs him.  Dumb move no matter where he winds up.

Why didn't they sign him before the bills did? Has he really shown any special skills that no team was aware of before?

Yes, all signs point to next year being the real start of what they want this team to look like long-term.  Going all out for 2020...

The eternal cry of The Process, "neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeext year".

You say long term, 2020 is the Tredavian Nightmare's last season here and Josh the next year or year after.  then back up the Brinks truck.  In the era of FA you never have long term.

Now is the time to go for it.

Nope.

Buffalo has an option for 2021 on Tre, plus they could tag him twice.

They have a ton of cap room and a 2nd year QB.

They may not have hit the start of their window yet, let alone be anywhere near seeing the close of it.

they're sitting in the $90mil range for next year right now...around $25 - $30 mil still on this year that can be added to next year = $115 - $125 mil next season...sounds nice

Releasing McCoy is a mistake.  Yeldon sucks as a runner.  Who is our home run threat now.  We have a bunch of power backs and a shifty but not explosive back.  I think they may not want to release Wade.

Wade is explosive but not ready to play in the regular season.

You can't be a part time back and make 9 million plus...  Beane said it will would have been a RB by committee even if Mcoy was on the team.  Beane dodged the question when asked about whether he tried to get Mccoy to take a pay cut.  I'm thinking this happened for sure, just my personal opinion.  If he said no to a pay cut then Beane had no choice.

They've been here 3 years and I believe I can count the number of players left from before their regime without taking off my left mitten.

They have drafted a QB, two OT, 2 DT, a MLB, a CB, a WR, and a TE in the first 3 rounds of those drafts and signed a pile of FA (not to mention some trades).

They are responsible for the current roster.  They have buttloads of cap space.

Don't you think this year is time they should be held accountable for "what they want this team to look like"?

If not, what really will be different in your mind about next?

McCoy's camp has said a pay cut was not discussed
