Pass on Metcalf and give me this WR!

Compared to who? This is getting ridiculous.  Metcalfs 3 cone and shuttle looks poor because none of the top big Wrs participated in either drill.  Traditionally large outside wrs dont.  You want to talk about injury history as a reason to pass on him at 9 ok I fully understand.  To say he it's worth it because his 3 cone? And Shuttle? Its asinine.  He literally has similar scores on those tests to Randy Moss.

His agility tests are certainly not disqualifying but it’s also not asinine to be concerned. It’s a red flag and I’m sure teams will want to see him perform it again at his pro day. And Moss’s 7.19 and Metcalf’s 7.38 are really not very similar. 2/10ths of a second over short distances is an eternity in pro football. Especially when matched against DBs with world class athleticism of their own.

I give him credit for doing the drill because, like you said, many of the bigger receivers are seemingly advised to skip it. It’s a good sign of his competitive nature, too.

Riley Ridley.

Seems like this guy will be very good in the NFL. appears his route running is very good, hands are great and just gets the WR position!

I am not sure where he is expected to go in the draft or if he has off the field problems but I would love to see Buffalo come away from the draft with this kid on the team.

N'Keal Harry would be my 2nd choice.

I'd take nkeal harry all day over ridley....ridley tested very poorly at the combine.....

People are just trying to find anything to hang onto to talk themselves out of him at 9

He may be talented enough in other areas (and he is) to be a good WR but being in the bottom 2-3 percentile in the cone drill and shuttle is at minimum something to be concerned with.

If you watched he lost his footing a bit.  He’ll improve at his pro day and then beyond will stop with this nonsense

He lost his footing because of how awkward he looked.  He better improve it because right now he has a slower shuttle time than Tom Brady did.

I'd still take Metcalf at 9 even with today.  Jones and Foster would have to battle it out for the 4th spot.  Beasley gets the slot and Brown is one of the outside guys.  I'd force Jones and Foster to fight for the #4 spot.  Jones, as we have seen, struggles on the perimeter.  Foster can get open on the perimeter but can he win consistently?  I'd still take Metcalf at 9.  Much more talented than both Zay and Foster.
