He literally has similar scores on those tests to Randy Moss. His agility tests are certainly not disqualifying but it’s also not asinine to be concerned. It’s a red flag and I’m sure teams will want to see him perform it again at his pro day. And Moss’s 7.19 and Metcalf’s 7.38 are really not very similar. 2/10ths of a second over short distances is an eternity in pro football. Especially when matched against DBs with world class athleticism of their own. I give him credit for doing the drill because, like you said, many of the bigger receivers are seemingly advised to skip it. It’s a good sign of his competitive nature, too. Beasley gets the slot and Brown is one of the outside guys. I'd force Jones and Foster to fight for the #4 spot. Jones, as we have seen, struggles on the perimeter. Foster can get open on the perimeter but can he win consistently? I'd still take Metcalf at 9. Much more talented than both Zay and Foster.
