Converted WR's that try to be TE's look like KB and Croom. Turk71 Posted March 3, 2019 Share Posted March 3, 2019 Saw him play a lot in college, he was very athletic for a lineman but lacked power and strength. Was a standout tight end in high school. I thought so to but this guy was drafted in the second by Cinci. Jake Long was #1 overall in 2008, Eric Fisher out of Central Michigan was the #1 overall pick in 2013. You need to offer some threat in the passing game or you might be better off just keeping the extra offensive lineman and using him on goaline and short yardage situations. While I agree counting on converting a WR to TE and then hoping he'll become your #1 TE is not good.
