Dkollidas
Just going off what we’ve seen with this management and coaching staff put together in terms of the “character” players, etc. just wondering if anyone has noticed guys that seem to be “McBeane” character guys. Last year I saw Harrison Phillips as such an obvious one for us. And sure enough it ended up happening ( I thought Phillips was going to go round 2, but they did well and got him in the 3rd). my guys so far this year... OL- Dalton Risner- Kansas St. - Was at the senior bowl. Check. Played tackle guard and center, so versatile. Check. Buddies with Harrison Phillips and spoke about how he’d be happy if he was selected by the Bills (I don’t have a link but read the quote somewhere when they interviewed him at the senior bowl). Check. Blue collar type of guy with no off-field red flags... check check check. I see Buffalo looking for Risner in the 2nd Round, moving up if they feel necessary. DT- Christian Wilkins- Clemson - Also a Senior. Check. Said to have a non-stop motor. Check. Leadership? Unquestioned. Check. John Ledyard from The Draft Network on Wilkins: ”Toughness, leadership and effort can’t be questioned. Hard-working on and off the field and described as a rare personality and leader at the college level” If Buffalo has to stay at 9, I could see him being an option. I could also see him being an option if they manage to get two offensive linemen and sign a Tyrell Williams or Golden Tate. Or if they move down and manage to have two 1st Round Picks (Via Raiders). Anyone else have anyone they’d like to add? 1

However, I think that what you've said demonstrates EXACTLY how McBeane will approach the draft.
Alphadawg7
My picks as guys I think are right up McBeanes alley are: OT - Dalton Risner: Guy seems made to play in Buffalo. EDGE - Oshane Ximines: This is the kind of guy on the field and in the locker room I think McD covets. Fiery leader and could be one of the steals of the draft in the 2nd round.
The Firebaugh Kid
Risner just oozes what this Oline needs. Tough to grab him at 9....bit of a reach....but trade back and grab Risner? Genius.

Same worry I have about trading back for TJ Hockenstein.
gonzo1105
Garrett Bradbury OC NC State Chris Lindstrom OG Boston College T.J. Hockenson TE Iowa Terrill Hanks is the perfect undersized former safety who became a LB. Much like Milano and Dorian O'Daniel who the Bills brought in for a pre draft visit last year. Dalton Risner OT Kansas State
Seoulofstone
I would add Chris Lindstrom, T.J. Hockenson, and Garrett Bradbury to your list, based on character traits. Another interesting trend to follow is Daboll’s Alabama connection, especially since we are expecting there to be a focus on offense. This may mean Jonah Williams, Ross Piersbacher, Josh Jacobs. I agree that Risner is a reach at 9. I also fear he maybe gone by the time the Bills second pick comes round. Both he and Hockenson are late 1st early second candidates. Like Hernandez last year, they won’t last far into the 2nd. If they miss Risner, McGovern, Beaushwazel and Powers are possibilities later. Augie
I expect us to move around a lot this year. I mean....A LOT. I could be wrong (I usually am ?), but we’ve got some wheeler dealers running the show, and it just feels like this year is built for going after “their guys”. I’m fine with that.

Seoulofstone
I’m also wondering if they will go after some new special team guys with some of their late round picks. Let’s hope they can replicate what they achieved last year with their later selections and UDFAs.
2020 Our Year For Sure
Clelin Ferrell is also processy-- vocal leader, high motor, competitive, sets the edge well. Not the speed rusher I personally look for but he's smart, has good length and uses it well, good technique and a lot of different moves. May be in play at 9 Edited February 20, 2019 by 2018 Our Year For Sure
Thurman#1
Problem is it's hard to tell who are the serious leaders, the guys who love the game and are smart on the field until you either actually coach them or get a pipeline to coaches at their school. So at the Senior Bowl we see a number of those guys, and it's obvious who they are, to us and to McBeane, and that's why they seem to go with those guys. As for us fans, it's really hard to tell because that's the image they're all trying to convey right now. Remember Dareus telling our coaches that if we didn't draft him he'd come in here and beat our butts again and again. Sounded great, but it's just what he'd been coached to say. It wasn't especially who he was. Some guys are really widely acclaimed as leaders and guys who love the game, and those guys even the fans know. For most, we don't know yet and what we do know later is about half P.R. I'm expecting Senior Bowl guys again. Other than that I'm hoping their pipeline to the colleges works. So far, it seems to be really good, from their draft results.
BuffaloBillsGospel
I have a feeling if Devin White is on the board at 9 he's our guy, move Edmunds outside where he's a natural fit. He just seems like the perfect fit imo.

JoPar_v2
Ugh...”process guys”. How bout just hope they draft guys that can play well. The word “process” should be added to the ***** swear filter at this point. It’s just buzzword BS and the number of you here and elsewhere that believe there’s some kind of deeper meaning behind it worries me, frankly. CuddyDark
Christian Wilkins, also has a great personality. He's one of them happy go lucky types. He's similar to Tre White in that way.
