Steptide
Maybe it doesn't sting as much (maybe it does) but that was a worse non catch than Stevie Johnson against the steelers in 2010

We finally have our QB! Was it though? He was throwing across the field and Clay had all day to run back to the ball and didn’t.

No awareness of the situation and very telling. My first thought as well. Come to the ball and catch it. Plenty of time if he does not make a TD.

Nope. Bad personnel decision by Daboll. He’s our best blocking TE by far......LOL. Of other 2 TEs one is a WR and the other is a QB. OF COURSE he’s our best blocking TE. Good point....... He made it 40 yards downfield just fine. And then.

JA had time to square up and throw a good pass on that play. Love what JA is doin, that particular ball wasnt his best by a mile. Partly Joshs fault, partly Clays. its a tough throw for a QB to throw that far down the field while running to the opposite side without squaring up and setting your feet. was a poor ball.
peterpan
It was a duck pass which stalled in the air and was super under thrown. Not exactly his fault.

Professional athletes need to make that catch. Given what we know about Allen’s arm strength, I’m guessing few could’ve got the ball to where he did. Clay HAS to make that catch.
