Why in the world should a Supreme Court justice answer to conspiracy theories?  She had surgery for cancer, she doesn’t need to prove her brain isn’t mush three months later...

1st off, never said she has to answer anything.  But she supposedly was seen out in public & in relatively good health (considering her age and having survived cancer surgery 2 months prior) a couple of days prior to the SotU address.  For some reason, she didn't seem to find attending that to be worthy of her.  Which is all within her perogative but does raise questions.

But, when an octogenarian that just had cancer surgery goes completely off the grid (minus apparently a single public appearance of which there has been no corroborating evidence presented), questioning whether her competence might be compromised isn't outlandish nor evil.

Was she at the SC last week or today?  The court's winter break is now over.  If she is back on the job, either at the court or wherever she is recovering, the citizens deserve to know.  If she isn't, we deserve to know when she's anticipated to return to duty.

And should she appear in public & be ok, questions go away.  And it will be a 'good for her' moment.  Hopefully she is ok.

Shocked, yes shocked I am that she might wear the same outfit twice in a lifetime!

It seems like both sides would agree that some form of retirement age ought to be imposed on SCOTUS members... It's downright impossible to believe that the most important decisions in American history can be made by someone who might not be fit to get out of bed... (and I don't just mean this in regards to RBG)

Ginsburg smiles, speaks in clear voice in return to Supreme Court bench

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg stood tall and smiled as she stepped up to the bench for her first oral argument following a surgery in December.

The 85-year-old member of the court’s liberal wing was forced to miss arguments in 11 cases during the month of January after two cancerous nodules were removed from her lower left lung on Dec. 21

It was the first time in more than 25 years on the court that her health has kept her from the bench.

Because if she really is okay, then the left can play it to their advantage.

Look, Melania is out of the scene for two weeks, and CNN has a Melania Watch while others in the media begin to speculate that the reason she isn't around is because Trump beats her.

RVG is out of the scene for months, and to compensate for the left's handling of Melania, the right starts to demand to know where Vader is. The longer they wait, the louder the calls become until everyone on the right is wondering where Vader is, and THEN the left rolls her out for an interview and the left explains how the right is full of conspiracy theorists.

Notice how the left's latest rage is how the right has jumped all over Obama's daughter for underage wine drinking. A couple of left-leaning pubs are chastising the right for their response to the photo, but literally no one on the right has said anything about Obama's daughter.

Even when they don't do anything, the left blames the right. And that's okay because the only other message they have is "Socialism is great, open borders are needed, cows must die, airplanes are not needed, and AOC is their leader."

I find your lack of faith... disturbing.

Bad news for the Ruthie worshipers. OTOH, this does lend some credence to the tin foil hat crowd who suspect the left will do everything possible to keep her body alive, even if her mind is incapacitated in the future:

Supreme Court: Dead judges can't issue rulings

“Federal judges are appointed for life, not for eternity,” the court ruled in an unsigned opinion.

If Trump flips the 9th circuit, it will be just the tasty meltdown nugget the world needs from the left to keep them babbling until word about RBG is released.

Because that's when the real crazy will be released by the left.

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed President Trump's nominee to be a judge on the liberal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in a party-line vote -- and, in a historic snub, the White House ignored the input of the judge's two Democratic home-state senators in the process.

Just got an update saying she is being treated for a malignant tumor on her pancreas....

Edit: here is one of the links https://www.npr.org/2019/08/23/753699013/justice-ruth-bader-ginsburg-underwent-another-round-of-cancer-treatment-this-sum

Best of luck to her with the treatments.  Maybe she's gotten lucky and the PC was caught early enough due to her having been treated for lung cancer, but it is rare to have a good prognosis with it.

Wondering if she regrets not retiring 4-5 years ago?

...sad...pancreatic is an uphill battle.....operation alternative is rarely available if tumor is near the major artery....nick it and she'll bleed out.....it is a very aggressive form with minimal results...cousin lost her husband to it......my late mother lost her cousin and well as cousin's daughter and granddaughter to it.....
