IDBillzFan
Gee, Dems neck-deep in voter fraud to steal an election. How unexpected. I'm sure they just didn't understand how getting people to alter ballots was illegal. Just a little misunderstanding, I'm sure.
B-Man
‘For real?’ Did CNN’s John King just give away Florida Democrats’ election game? [video] CNN’S KING ON FLA. RECOUNT: DEMS ARE NOW HOPING COURTS ‘BEND THE LETTER OF THE LAW’ ‘The hope now for Democrats though is that the court has already shown its willingness to overlook or bend the letter of the law and would do so again’ I HAD BEEN ASSURED THAT ELECTION FRAUD WAS A MYTH: Florida Dems planned to use altered forms to fix mail ballots across state after deadline. ARTHUR CHRENKOFF: An open letter to my American friends, re: your shambolic election process. I write this not with condescension or glee but as a friend who wants to help. Furthermore, I write as an Australian, from a country, which has always been on the forefront of electoral best practice and thus has much to offer by way of experience and example. In 1856, the state of South Australia adopted universal male suffrage as well as secret ballot as a way to conduct election, the latter reform adopted later that year by Tasmania and Victoria and over the next few years by the remaining states. Throughout the second half of the 19th century, political reformers in the United States and Great Britain would fight – eventually successfully – for the adoption of “the Australian ballot”, as it became known overseas. It is now the international standard. It seems to me that it’s time for America to again look Down Under for inspiration on how to improve its democratic process. Our Australian system is not perfect and it’s not 100 per cent foolproof (what is?) but it has been by and large free of fraud or the perception of fraud and its integrity is acknowledged by all sides of politics as well as the general voting public (voting in Australia is compulsory but I don’t recommend it for the US). What follows is solid advice. Edited November 15, 2018 by B-Man

It is making me sick to my stomach. I have had to step away from the internet. I think there are about 30 "close" Congressional elections and so far the Dems have "won" nearly 25 with a few still undecided (7). If Vegas gave those odds, the casinos would be out of business. And yet our uninterested (a better word would be complicit) press asks no questions, and instead they meme "every vote should count". All these "found" votes... gimmie a break.

Yes and it seems to me that voting via any method needs to take place in much tighter windows of time. Fat chance of states moving in that direction. Tiberius
Jared Golden, a Marine Corps veteran and Democratic state lawmaker in Maine, defeated New England’s lone House Republican, Bruce Poliquin, on Thursday, just two days after Mr. Poliquin filed a lawsuit to stop the counting of votes under the state’s new ranked-choice voting system. Mr. Poliquin’s defeat in Maine’s Second Congressional District added to a swell of bad news for northeastern Republicans, who suffered heavy losses on Election Day, and gave Democrats another Republican seat in their takeover of the House. And it added an intriguing new angle to the nation’s ferment over voting rules and options when Mr. Poliquin, the candidate who was the first choice of more voters, lost the race to Mr. Golden, who won on the basis of being the second or third choice of voters who initially chose two independent candidates who together got 8 percent of the vote. A spokeswoman for the Maine secretary of state’s office said the results remained unofficial pending certification by Nov. 26. But, if certified, the results would make Mr. Golden the winner of a four-candidate race in which Mr. Poliquin received 2,632 more first-choice votes but failed to reach the 50 percent needed to win. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/15/us/politics/poliquin-maine-loses.html?action=click&module=Top Stories&pgtype=Homepage just keeps getting better and better! If you weren't so incredibly vapid you'd know I've been making that particular argument for a long time, and not in response to a tweet. I believe that election fraud is one the greatest crimes a government official can commit, as it denies citizens the basic fundament right of self-determination, and essentially returns us to a reality of lords and serfs; and I believe that the penalty for that should be death. Gary, what do you believe should be the penalty should be for government officials conspiring to deny individuals the most basic human freedoms in violation of the law, and without due process? If they were not miscounted, then the most likely explanation was that they were in fact left blank, possibly because of the way the ballot was designed, with the Senate choices on the bottom left corner of the page, tucked beneath the voter instructions.
