“Seven kids have died under President Trump,” Gillibrand said. Let’s give her a round of applause, folks, that’s a good talking point for those who don’t follow the news religiously.

President Trump is not to blame for the unfortunate deaths of border-crossing children who are sick when they arrive illegally. But Gillibrand claims kids will stop dying on day one that she’s in office. She’s running for president and she’s a magician. Wow!

Well, she's not wrong. Kids will stop dying in federal custody, when President Gillibrand ends enforcement of federal law. Oh sure, illegal migrant kids will still die here, but who gives a crap if no one knows about it because they're not receiving treatment at a federal detention facility? We'll just consider them late-late-late term abortions.

If there's one thing we know about politics in america, whatever polls the media quote definitely prove true.

But, but, but, the only reason Trump won was because Hillary was the worst person ever, right?

At least that's what the PPP Trump cultists said before. Or is Biden suddenly now the same?

Come on, Biden is just a better all around man than Trump, don't ya think?

Trump beat Hillary largely because Hillary had been a part of the system/establishment for decades and Trump was viewed as an outsider/change/protest vote.

Biden is even more establishment than Hillary was, and despite being more likable than Hillary he's got even less accomplishments legislatively and policy wise than she had despite holding higher office (though I'd say SecState is higher than VP in reality).

Biden has zero chance to win in 2020. The DNC establishment wants him, a large swath of the media wants him -- but the people do not.

So Biden IS worse than Hillary!

I knew it! Actually i knew anyone leading in the primary would be "worse" than Hillary since I first heard she was the very worst person ever in human history, even worse than Hitler

I think Joe may win the D nomination but I don't think it'll be an easy ride for him.  Bernie and Kamala will give him a good run when the primary votes are cast IMO.  Many of the early states may not "Joe" country.  Also, if a challenger or two go deep in the process against Joe, could the D's get to their convention without someone being locked in?

That's what everyone said about Trump 4 years ago

Hiliary lost because she is universally loathed.  Even among the Democrat faithful, HRC is not well liked.  Biden on the other hand comes across as a likable guy.  Dude always reminded me of a smiling used car salesman who just wants to be your friend

Quit feeding that false argument ?️

It doesn't matter if Biden isn't worse than Hillary....................................or any of the rest

The point is they are ALL worse than Trump.

SURE, BUT LOOK AT THE FIELD THEY’RE PICKING FROM:

Joe Biden is too stupid to win the nomination (#1).

Here, let me give you a visual:

I don't know, there was a pretty good lock-down on Hillary's health once she started running. She was sobered up and spackled as need be, and because people liked her less the more they saw of her, her outings were curtailed greatly.  The MSM not only played along, they aided and abetted it.

His campaign is curtailing Uncle Joe's outings too, mainly because he's creepy as ***** and has not learned how to keep his hands to himself. And that does not fly in the age of #metoo. The history on his handsy-ness, flip-flops, voting record, plagiarisms, etc. has not been scrubbed (yet). I'm not certain it can be contained at this point simply because the right has learned hard lessons on this the last 10+ years, and now have vaults of everything. The internet is forever.

Then too, being white + male is not something the MSM can get behind currently.  They want a minority candidate (preferably female) so they can bash the crud out of President Trump for being white and male. And while I still say Joey-B is running to keep his shady dealings in China and the Ukraine as a political persecution!!! if anything should come of it, there isn't  (yet) a complete clampdown on his (and his son's) China and the Ukraine dealings while he was VP. The MSM in general seems to be uninterested in reporting on it, but not all outlets are playing along. Depending on the OIG Clinton Uranium One report, the press may not be able to smother it with a pillow (h/t David Burge)

I wouldn't be shocked if Uncle Joe ends up the D nominee for a number of reasons (sacrificial lamb being first and foremost among those reasons). But, I would be surprised.

I have this feeling that any Democrat that is really serious about being President is sitting 2020 out in favor of 2024.  It's going to take another loss to get the party and MSM serious about winning.

Kirsten Gillibrand is the first 2020 Democrat to endorse in the Iowa Democratic primary for the Joni Ernst Senate race.

Gillibrand backs Theresa Greenfield: "We need more women at the table in Washington"

Does she... does she not know that the current Senator from Iowa is a woman?

Maybe, but this is a pretty risky move unless you're in your 40s.  If a D does win in 2020, then kiss off 2024 and really 2028 too because a party with a back to back prez rarely wins the next time, see Clinton, Obama, Bush II.

So if you don't go this year, your next decent shot could in 2032.

Interesting and possible.  I guess that I am used to the old days when even the party that had the White House would run serious competition the next Presidential election year.  Anymore it is a chosen one with token competition.

Tibs you really don’t understand the mindset of conservatives at all. We don’t think Hilary was worse than Hitler. We think she’s part of a government swamp that wants to perpetuate the governing class while lining their own pockets in the process. Biden appears to be on the same golden brick road. It’s the Resistance that calls everyone a Nazi. Aren’t there any mirrors in your house?

Conservatives hated Hitler and Stalin, both were running Socialist utopias.

US liberals never got around to hating Stalin, speaks volumes, even now...

I recall no one ever stating that Clinton was worse than Hitler.

Biden's challenges (among others) is he has been around forever and was never remotely close to being good enough to earn the nomination, he was active in the last admin that unmasked/surveilled/spied upon the political op (and was either duplicitous enough to be involved, neutered to the point he was not part of the activity, or clueless enough to have it happen on his watch), he has a laundry list of racially charged comments, he changes positions based on the political environment, he has a history of lies/plagiarism charges/fanciful tales, and the repubs havent started on him yet.

On the plus side, he's likable if you dont care about all his negatives, he will be use his son's death to connect with sympathetic voters, and he will say what he wants regardless of how it makes him appear. Also, on the plus sides, dem voters will vote for malaise, overegulation, excessive taxation and against their best interests virtually every time.

To paraphrase and appropriate Will Ferrel in "Kicking and Screaming",  Clinton and Biden are "Different...they are both worse different."
