Bills will have “best of the best” weight room facility in the league following 18 mill renovation

I hope this all pays off at some point on the field. I will always be so greatful they bought the team and are committed to keeping the team in WNY. In this case it shows they are going above and beyond. I know we as fans can be critical of some moves but their heart is in the right place for sure.

I would love a "sleep pod" at work!  Sounds great

Hopefully this will limit injuries.  If so, it's money well spent.

Doubt it

Agreed. There is NO REASON to spend a crap-ton of money on a new stadium. A year away (UB stadium perhaps?) while they completely re-do Rich Stadium (yes, I'm really old) is the perfect solution for this market and franchise. Ticket prices will go up, but only by a third of what they would if they build a "palace" downtown, or even next door to the current confines.

Good on you, Kim and Terry. If you could also see about a certain team that plays on frozen water, we would appreciate it.........

i've heard they're consulting with planet fitness to ensure they build it properly.  it all starts with the free tootsie rolls.

LOL I am a member there simply because of the proximity to my office. I always find it funny that one day a week they have a big spread of bagels and cream cheese for the members.

Reading this and thinking back to Rex's first visit to the stadium I remember how impressed he was with the locker room and weight room. Russ took him on the tour and didn't know the difference between a mediocre weight room and a modern treatment facility (weights, water tanks, massage, etc).  I tend to think Rex let these guys condition themselves...treated them as peers/buddies rather than young men who need guidance and set goals in performance, diet, being a professional.

Confirms in my mind that Beane and McDermott (along with Terry and Kim) are doing things the right way. Classy team we have. Treat the players as professionals, give them everything they need to succeed and reach the post season. Ping pong tables and foosball are great in your apartment or house, but when you get to the stadium, it's time to work. They have players on the team who have adopted that mind set. Love it.

Speaking of the other team, doesn’t key bank center need a ton of upgrades? What’s the story there on a plan?

Interesting. Long term at the Ralph? Training camp there?

My first thought as well.  Bills will run out the lease at SJF then move camp to OBD.  They've certainly got the cash to buy out the remaining years at SJF but that won't play well with the Rochester fan base.

This.

Even if they build new, it should be on location.  They will need to ask the city for a lot of money for infrastructure, acquire a lot of land, etc which will virtually double the price tag.

If they refurbish.  Maybe playing one season at either the Carrier Dome or Toronto (BMO or Skydome).  It would stink kind of, but we wouldnt have the inferiority complex of losing our team on some sort of rent-to-own deal like the Toronto series

This is the kind of thing that separates good ownership from bad. The Pegulas did something similar with the Sabres locker room a few years back. The Bills facility has always been near the top of the league. These upgrades are another example of the Pegulas legitimately caring about their players. This $18M upgrade isn’t a revenue generator for them. It is a recruiting tool and an effort to keep players safer. This is just the kind of thing that good people do. Kudos to Kim and Terry for this!!

This was my first thought and I would be a big fan of the idea. The Pegula's have proven that they are all about doing things top notch.

There’s nothing wrong with it, people

just want more bells and whistles.
