Let's play a game. Imagine Hillary Clinton saying and doing what Trump says and does. How does that make you feel? Angry? 28 minutes ago, 3rdnlng said: Don't join the idiot parade, Promo. Dante
Trump killing it again today. The children, just out of their overpriced mind-bending schools, had their playtime for 8 long, destructive years. Now it's the adults that turn it around. The more and more Trump is at it the more an more I realize just how much we have got used to being lied to and played by the professional political class. keepthefaith
2 hours ago, Deranged Rhino said: There's two giant problems with this though, Keepthefaith: 1. Every single bit of forensic evidence relating to the hack was never verified by the FBI. The FBI never examined the hacked server themselves. They instead relied upon CrowdStrike's assessment of the hack and took their word as gold. And CrowdStrike's own work is contradicted by both WikiLeaks (who received the documents and know their source - but themselves are not impartial actors) and the forensic evidence attached to the emails themselves which anyone can verify on their own. 2. Vault 7 proves the CIA (and likely the rest of the IC) has several programs designed specifically to spoof that exact kind of evidence detailed in the indictment. Marbles and Umbrage specifically deal with implanting Russian fingerprints on that kind of evidence. Does this mean for certain it was done? No, but it's reasonable doubt in light of the fact the FBI has never examined the physical evidence themselves (nor have the NSA or CIA since the DNC refused to hand over the server). But for your last point, I agree. Trump could have handled this better publicly. Without question. Reveal hidden contents Completely speculating now as an aside: I would suggest that what you're describing as capitulation is something else. Trump threatened Putin's oil pipeline and piggy bank specifically. Then you have Putin willingly throwing out the dirt on the US IC funneling 400 million dollars to the Clinton campaign. Capped off by the DOJ arresting a Russian for FARA violations over the weekend - but holding the announcement until immediately after the summit concluded. I noted in my (limited) play-by-play of the summit today that there was a lot of obvious coordination in Putin and Trump's responses... I think it's possible (if not likely) Trump and Putin have been trolling the world for over two years. Not in a collusion-to-get-elected kind of way. But in a !@#$ the cabal/establishment way. This game is global after all. Yes, but the indictment cites specific methods of access, dates, spoof email addresses, etc... That alone is not enough evidence to convict but it does show how the thefts of info happened so they must have underlying evidence to tie it up. You wouldn't need the server to investigate this as the host would likely have all the needed info and experts can dig past the attempts to mask it. In the current environment though it's hard to have unwavering confidence in anything the IC is producing on this matter. Putin in his interview with Wallace had pretty weak explanations when asked about his country's involvement, but you can't expect the likes of him or Trump to fully understand the nitty gritty of the evidence. Putin said little to knock out the legs of support for the allegations. Edited July 17, 2018 by keepthefaith

He said he was confident in what his intelligence people were telling him but also said that Vlad was pretty emphatic that they didn't do it. He played it down the middle in public. Unfortunately we the public will probably never see the evidence which is unfortunate because there is a lot of private sector know-how on this that could evaluate it. More private sector expertise than that of the feds probably.

Deranged Rhino
Three then Obama officials tried to fire Admiral Mike Rogers in 2016 for discovering the FISA abuse scandal and informing then President Elect Trump: 1. John Brennan. 2. Jim Clapper. 3. Ash Carter. Those with the most to hide are screaming the loudest right now. Literally (in Brennan's case and Mudd's case on CNN) calling for the military to execute a coup against POTUS. This was always a cover up about the USIC under 44 spying on its political opponents. Still is. These are former defense and intelligence professionals hoping for either a coup or a shooting war with Russia just to cover up what they did. Listen to the hyperbolic insanity. These are not the words rational people say - even in the cesspool of cable news. Idiocy and the flicker of a hope of armed conflict is all they have left to argue.
