Wonder how he felt after the season in his 6 or so game with the Bills.  Outside of the Charger game, he probably averaged 4 targets a game.

5 – QBs planning meet up with offensive players
AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman have been working to formulate plans for throwing sessions with the receivers, running backs and tight ends at some point during the six-week layoff between minicamp and training camp.

“I think the work that we have done to improve our chemistry, improve our timing has been great and I think it’s something that we can build on even more here,” said Peterman. “In this off time, we’re all going to get together. We’ve still got to set some things up, but that’s the plan right now.”

Most players who would be involved sound like they’re on board. One player who is going to even take it a step further is Kelvin Benjamin, who plans to set up one-on-one throwing sessions with each of the quarterbacks.

“We’re all meeting up at once, eventually some time before we come back,” Benjamin said. “But me individually, I just want to try to single them out and have me and the quarterbacks work one-on-one, all three.”

Bet he will be telling all three of the QBs to get him the ball more.

That's alright by me!

The whole situation was a mess, with him getting hurt in the Chargers game and then tweaking the injury in the snow game too. I expect more production like his stat line against New England week 16... including the should-be touchdown. We are gonna pass the ball more this year.

He had a QB who wasn't keen on throwing the ball to WRs unless a defender fell down.

That’s great of him. He also said that when he works one on one with Nate he’ll be wearing a Chargers jersey.

Peterman being an organizer and teacher has been a theme this off-season. Considering that, he seems like a better back-up than McCarron at this point, as well as possibly a better QB overall.

Hopefully, those traits rub off on Allen while he develops.

I will settle for Allen just becoming a top level franchise QB.

The top level guys are seldom great teachers

I dont know if this is for serious.....but Big Ben?  His backups HATE him

His WRs love him. I was referring to Peterman teaching the WRs. That was in the report from minicamp day 1, along with organizing time with the WRs during the break.

Allen needs to embrace that roll as well.

As mandatory minicamp finished up on Thursday, the Buffalo Bills saw their rookie quarterback make a big play to end it all. When is the right time to put more responsibility on Josh Allen and make it a true three-man competition? Joe Buscaglia and Matthew Fairburn discuss that, the strong spring of Nathan Peterman, and some under-the-radar standouts from spring.

Mini camp ended today and I’m already missing the daily Bills updates.

I absolutely can’t wait until training camp and preseason games get started.

It's been a long time since I had this good a feeling about the direction this team in moving in.

Benjamin eagerly catching up in 2nd season with Bills

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Kelvin Benjamin burst up the right sideline, timed his turn some 20 yards upfield, and made a leaping catch by using his imposing 6-foot-5 frame to box-out cornerback Tre'Davious White on the opening day of the Bills' mandatory minicamp.

It wasn't so much the catch that thrilled Benjamin. It was, more so, how effortlessly he leaped now that his two once-wobbly knees are feeling better.

"I'm so happy to have both knees working for me at the same time," Benjamin said Wednesday.

I’m pretty excited about KB. If he stays on the field, he’s a legit #1 receiver and could regularly top 1000 yards a season. Word from camp is he’s looking in great shape too.

They were last year.

This year we're hoping for a healthy KB, a Zay Jones sans the rookie yips, Kerley the Contributor, and nice surprise contributors from any combination of Ray Ray, Streater, Reilly, Dupree, etc.

But I think simply a healthy Benjamin makes our WR corps a lot better right out the gate

This, and very good -if under utilized- TE’s and excellent pass catching RB’s, combined with, you know, a quarterback who actually throws to them, will, by default create open WR’s somewhere..

alledgedly..

Surprise offseason standouts to know for all 32 NFL teams

Quarterback Nathan Peterman
The 2017 fifth-round pick was an afterthought at best and a laughingstock at worst after his five-interception performance against the Chargers last season, but Peterman should be considered a serious contender for the starting job in Buffalo. He has rotated daily with AJ McCarron to lead the first-team offense, with rookie Josh Allen starting in minicamp to see periodic time with that group. Peterman has looked sharp, including Tuesday at minicamp, when he completed 10 of 13 passes in 11-on-11 drills and ended practice with a touchdown. -- Mike Rodak

Minicamp Over, So What's Next For The Bills Players? | Buffalo Sports Page

by Greg Gabriel, Buffalo Sports Page NFL Expert

By the end of next week, all NFL clubs will have completed their off-season programs and they have five to six weeks off before reporting to training camp. The misnomer here is “off”, as no NFL player in today’s game can afford to take more than a few days off as he prepares for training camp.

Years ago training camp was used to get players in shape and ready for the season. That was one of the reasons double sessions took place and the NFL had six preseason games for each club. With the the off-season programs and OTA’s coming into play in the late 1990’s, coaches began offensive and defensive installation during the off-season programs as well as the physical preparation for the season by the players. Players come into camp in top shape and ready to go.
