Give me this kid all day long. If he fails, he fails working hard and smart, not lazy (read today Vick never studied his playbook).

We’ve done the hardworking, smart, failing thing at QB a number of times. Let’s try something else.

Two months ago I wanted Darnold, as everyone in the media was drooling over him being head and shoulders above the rest. Then I decided on Baker Mayfield, as I looked at his stats in college and charisma, leadership abilities yet underdog  personality. I said, "He is our guy." Then, I leaned towards wanting us to pick Allen, as I want a guy that is a strong armed good kid that can move and can take risks, and who is not a dink and dunker.

But, after seeing that Rosen interview and analyzing things more, think I have settled on Rosen now. From what I took from that interview, unless injuries plague his career, he will likely be the qb that succeeeds above the others, as much of his talent likely comes from his strong self-motivation and work ethic, detailedness, perfectionism,  increased confidence and desire to get respect, by him being the best.

Combine Aaron Rogers and Payton Manning, that is what I think Rosen will be. They are/were qbs  who put in the extensive work and preparation, and with an eye for detail, and who held themselves and others up to very high standards. I like that attitude and personality, the more I think about it.

I love the kid. Love him as a player and love his personality.

He is the ONE. The Rosen One.

Do not screw this up Buffalo.

It’s not up Buffalo to screw this up or not. He’s the top rated QB in the draft and has been since last August and it’s quite realistic that nobody would want to trade away the chance to draft him, no matter what they were offered. Our only chance to guarantee we get him is to move to one. But that’s just not up to us, unfortunately. Hoping we get lucky, though.

Too Jewy for Buffalo, from what Im told. Pass, we can do better next year.

He can reside in East Amherst... no issue. I can’t wait for the new page in the pamphlet of famous Jewish sports legends.  It hasn’t been updated since Yaz

This interview absolutely blew me away. As many know I have been down on Rosen for personality and injury issues. NOT ANY MORE!  I want him on the Bills more than any guy. His physical qb characteristics are unprecedented. You will have to protect him. I was wrong about him and I watched him play every Sat from the Rose Bowl. When several different reporters compare him to Aaron Rodgers, I can see that. Belichick would die to get a guy like this. I don't know how high we have to trade up to get him but McB.....

GET IT DONE.....GET ROSEN!

Oh no.

In this clip, he actually reminds me of Tom Brady.

He reminds me of Brady in many ways, now that I think about it.

That's not exactly a bad thing.

Get it done MCBEANE!

Not really true.

I believe Darnold is probably more consistently rated #1 by NFL teams and he has been and remains the betting odds-on favorite to go #1.

Further, I believe he will go #1 to Cleveland.  We'll find out.

If he goes 1 I will not consider the Bills to have screwed it up. Same if he goes 2. If he goes 3 I will be a little frustrated but if he goes later than 3 and not to us.... then I will think we have screwed it up.

I’m fine with Rosen if he falls to 12. Maybe go to 10 to get him. He has great mechanics and throws a nice ball.

Concerns:

1) Rosen makes some bad decisions and sometimes gets away with some dangerous throws. He has a little Eli Manning to him where he can get really hot or he can make some awful decisions.

2) He has slow feet. I wish his feet were a little quicker as he frequently gets sacks while trying to escape pocket. If his feet were a little quicker he would not be caught as often.

3) Durability. He is pocket qb and he takes some shots. Has had some significant injuries and am not sure his body can hold up to a 16+ game season.

4) Had a lot of hype around him at UCLA but I wish he would have won more games. His record is very average (just above .500). I like to see qbs elevate their programs to a different level.

That said, we need a qb and if he falls close to 12, I would take a shot. Keeping our picks would allow us to fill in some significant holes.

I was hoping he’d call him Cowturd and flip him the bird, anything to have him drop a little!

I’ve never had any problem with his attitude or personality. The concussions do concern me to some extent.

I can see that interview actually putting some teams off. Good! Maybe he may drop down a little so we can get him.

Are you kidding?

Absolutely it will.  It makes me like him more than I have to date, however.

Darnold or someone else may very well go before Rosen, that’s entirely true. But that will be for reasons other than who is the best QB. Feel free to discount that as just my opinion and I don’t blame you considering we are just anonymous strangers on an Internet forum. But I don’t offer that as my own opinion; it comes from several long time personnel evaluators. And that’s not to say their own opinions shouldn’t be taken with a grain of salt, either, as they are the first to admit it’s not an exact science. They are just adamant he’s the most ready to play in the league coming out. That’s all.

Perhaps the best qualification for laying blame I’ve seen around here. The gradation is admirable.

Do you really think a Cowherd interview would supersede their own?

A combo of Rodgers and Manning might be a little much but I'm otherwise with you.

Really the only one that I don't want to end up with is Allen even though he seems like a solid kid with a howitzer for an arm but I can't understand not liking Rosen.  He's almost universally regarded as the most NFL ready QB in the draft and I personally love his attitude.  If he can stay healthy (I think he needs to bulk up a bit) I think he'll be the best of the entire class.
