If he's their top guy, they should do it. If he's their #3 or #4, No. I would strenuously explore whether the #5 pick is for sale by the Broncos before I did that, and I would be carefully considering any intel on who the Broncos like at QB as to whether I take my chances at #6. That's a hell of a haul for the #4 pick. Usually when a team pays that much, it's to get the #1 or #2 choice. Would you pull that trigger or stay put? yes i have to edit as i do have second thoughts on this.....but then i ask myself....how many people have him rated as the no.1 qb in this class? we would pay this or no.2 and get who?... darnold who needs a year?....rosen who would hate coming here...or allen who needs 2 years....so my answer is yes.
