34 responses so far, and not a single Peterman vote.

Did this guy poop on a box of Flutie Flakes or what?!

I guess a 5 interception debut will do that to ya...

Just wait until we draft Darnold and he throws 4 INT's and loses 3 fumbles in his 1st game.

If he was to do that then I would let him start for the bills for eternity. I'll shake the mans hand after he flushes and washes of course

Fair enough.

I would also argue that logic dictates that we have over 30 torturously long days to go until the draft and are running out of good topics and need to do SOMETHING to pass the time! B-)

I definitely feel like Peterman got a bad rap, and yes he stunk it up in SD, but he did come back to have a solid quarter or so vs Indy.  IMO we haven't seen enough of him to already label him NOT the answer.  I still have faith in my fellow Panther.  However, I feel like the McCarron signing was perfect, and I expect him to beat out Peterman and the rookie to start day one.  BUT...

If the rookie, for arguments sake we'll call him Baker, goes lights out in camp, throws 5 or 6 touchdowns in the preseason, and has clearly shown that he is "the guy", how do you not start him?  I'm ALL for letting him sit for a year, hold that clipboard, and soak up some knowledge. That would be our IDEAL situation, but if he shreds in camp, all bets are off.  Throw him to the wolves and see what he's made of.

I am hoping for best case scenario. McCarron shows enough during OTAs, training camp and pre-season to win the job. The rookie sits behind him learning for one to two years. Then we trade McCarron to a QB hungry team for new assests and our franchise QB takes over.

this is the perfect scenario and I hope it's how it plays out?

it’s pretty obvious to me that I’d like to have a rookie QBs starting. That would means that he had outperformed mccarron in camp and that’s the best case scenario.  I’m not saying that’s the best thing for said QB, it would show that that QB is, at least, better than a low tier starter.

When considering this rookie QB will hold our teams future in his arm and head, I could care less if we get a better pick for mccarron.  I just want whichever Av we draft to be good

My preliminary answer is to start McCarron unless the rookie is Rosen or Mayfield and cut Peterman.

Makes sense. Personally , I'd vote for MCarron over any rookie the Bills could draft this year. If Andrew Luck was in this draft and the Bills took him, I'd vote to start Luck opening day. Most years, I'd vote for a vet and turn it over to the rookie down the road if the situation warrants it.

Wow I can't believe this poll! 3/4 of the voters want to see AJ as the starter. Personally, I haven't given up on drafting a franchise type guy who can start very quickly.

I haven't given up on drafting a franchise type QB. Maybe they could start quickly, but I wouldn't start them in the opener. Maybe mid season or so if things are going south.

If it's Rosen, I'm starting him day 1.  Mayfield quite possibly the same.  Any other rookie QB would sit behind McCarron based on what I have seen from the others.  I'd cut Peterman and put him on the PS if not claimed by another team.

That is why I chose Rookie QB - I'm holding out hope...

These are also the posters who want to stay put and draft an LB as high as we possibly can; so there's that...
