Jets just traded with Colts for #3 pick in first round

Recommended Posts

For all we know, the bills already have a tentative deal in place with the Browns or giants. Maybe they made a deal and are keeping it quiet for particular reasons (like someone's draft stock goes way up and the giants ask for another one of the bills picks, who knows). It's interesting that it was the jets who moved up also. Maybe they know something regarding the giants pick or Browns pick? Who knows.

The Giants may not even be thinking of trading regardless of offer.  In a year or 2, they’re in the same situation as the Bills at QB if they don’t snag a top guy this year.

Don't discount the Giants' PR disaster after they benched Eli last year. I'm currently texting with a buddy in NYC who's a big Gints fan, and he definitely thinks they need to be careful about drafting QBs this year after that debacle. He feels they need to prioritize OL and DL.

Florio is suggesting he knows that the Bills would’ve made the move to 3 if the Jets didn’t - the Colts forced the Jets to make the trade now.

Again, if Beane screws up this draft he should be out.  They (McD) screwed up last year’s draft but lucked out.  Two in a row means you’re fired.

Maybe in your version of the NFL but luckily cooler heads make the decisions around here.

You're only able to say this because they just needed a move of three spots to get to 3. It's no indicator of how little the Bills would have had to give up to move to 3 from the 12 spot.

yep, I understand that the Jets also gave up their 1st rounder now.  Makes more sense.

We are about to find out what Beane is made of. This is a big move for the Jets. If he doesn’t trade up, and a worthwhile QB doesn’t fall to 12, this town is going to start holding his feet to the fire.

You can’t just trade away everybody on the roster and not come away with a top QB prospect

Maybe he ( Beane ) only likes Darnold and the Browns are taking him 1st overall ? And then his second choice could be there at 12

Would you stop with this nonsensical crap about them getting fired if they don't pick a QB you happen to like?  You're like a broken record.

There are six guys that could go round 1, and if you read the crap thrown around on this site as well as other bloggers and journalism guys, all of whom share the common trait that they don't have near the amount of data the Bills do, everyone of these 6 guys is either going to be Gods answer to prayers for a QB or they completely stink.

they are going to make the best decision they can.  If they want to move to the top thinking there's a guy they have to have, they can.  If they think there guy can be had at 12 they can.  Or at 22 they can.

everyone needs to stop with the nonsense about how they have to do this or that.  To remind everyone, 3 of the 4 QBs in the championship games were Foles, Keenum, and Bortles.  Not exactly studs.

It was a one off year. Your last sentence is the aberration, not the norm. You don't build a team on an aberration. You telling people to stop like you're making a good point makes it even more annoying.

Your point sucks. Stop saying it.

I see some are suggesting 12, 22, 53, 56 and a 2 next year.

I suggested something similar and was told BB would lose the fan base if he did this.

Please, go get your guy, we need a QB  it’s been long enough.

I do not know why you would trade to 3rd 6 weeks out.  The jets are making desperate moves.  I am not sure they even have a Qb in mind they just want one.  Buffalo has to assume Darnold or Allen is 1.  No reason to move to 2 until you know your QB will be there.

- If they were trading up then why did they sign McCown and Bridgewater? Not to mention they also have Petty and Hackenberg.

- Bills are screwed and have to trade up to 2 now. No choice. There will be 4 QB's taken in the top 5

I warned people not to be lulled to sleep by free agent signings and late 30's QB's that supposedly have a few years left.  It was all sitting there to be read if a person had an open mind versus looking at everything through Bills' colored glasses.

Another bit of fired nonsense.  For guys that got them to the playoffs.  Pathetic crap
