Doesn't he have a loyal following on this board though?   Seem to recall lots of folks willing to have Bills overpay for the guy.

Some seem to like him quite a bit, but I don't see the reason for such affinity.

He was a very good college QB. When he got to start with the Bengals, he played well. I prefer to move up a little & get our QB, but McCarron will be a fine QB for someone.

Tebow was a very good college QB .   Being good on a college team that has huge talent advantages over most rivals isn't a good indicator for success.

He played decently like a game manager type.  Nothing to get excited over.

Perhaps you are right - he is nothing to get excited over. However, remember the Steeler playoff game. In the face of a good pass rush, he made plays , was confident, and except for a team members fumble, would have won the playoff game as a decided underdog. The kid just looks like a winner to me. We shall see.

They had no one at all on their roster. Guessing the draft #3, but they could put it off for a year.

I would hope that, with the talent on that D, they would want to really compete. Those two do not say "I want to compete". I guess, as a Bills fan, I currently can't say jack. Peterman (and Webb?) is a pretty sad sack QB room.

As far as I can tell, it's mostly based off liking him in college, and not seeing enough of him in the NFL to be fed up yet.

Basing it on what he did for the Crimson Tide and correlating that to NFL potential is a mistake given how they mostly rely on tough defense and the run game down there.   He looks like a classic game manager to me and that's not such a bad thing.

So he and Bridgewater would rather be backup QB's on inferior teams than be a starter in Buffalo? SMH.

Glennon is best sutied to be a backup. He's stolen enough money as a starter as the Bears discovered last season.
