Bills hosting Matt Moore per Albright retweet - Rodhak says not so fast

Recommended Posts

I feel more "Meh" about this than I did when the Bills landed Matt Castle

"Meh Moore"

I have absolutely no problem signing a backup QB who can come in and not embarrass us.

Could be a trade up. Or they could be leaving the door open for a trade for a veteran QB like Foles.

Or they could just be signing him to compete for the backup role.

If Moore is signed, Peterman will beat him out with ease & he'll be cut in preseason. I don't even consider Moore a feasible Bridge QB option, no thanks.

I feel like the fact the Bills are hosting a back-up QB should give fans optimism about the possibility of trading up and securing one of the top QBs in the draft.

But that wouldn't let them react to the thought of him.

I like the idea because he will come cheap and allow them to go after other FAs where needed. He will be a caretaker if the rook is not ready.

I'm actually alright with it if the money is alright. It means that we are almost certainly taking a 1st round QB, and that we won't force him in too soon. Let him beat out Moore, and have Moore help him be a professional.

He is better then Tyrod and better then the 2 other QBs the dolphins played. Plus we know he’s not a long term starter here so I’m good.

Horrible is it comes to fruition. These are 2 guys that

1. Couldn't take the job in Jacksonville away from Bortles

2. Was thought so highly of that the Fins had to bring Cutler in. Out of the broadcast booth.

He's not a bad option to trot out for a few games if need be. A whole season of Moore would be tough, however.

Yikes. Tank ?

Tank? If anything this would mean we are just getting a cheap backup and plan to move up in the draft.

I’m okay with this. I want a top end rookie. I want a smart, cheap vet. Moore checks those  boxes for me.

I think this is a good move-if done. He's experienced 15-15 as a starter, 60% completion, 81 QBR, average QB. You can win for a week or two with him....That's a decent backup. Best part is he's only probably 4-5 million. And, it means tradeup for Rosen,Darnold, Mayfield. If we draft one of those guys I want him playing...not sitting behind McCarron.

Cheap enough if we grab a rookie

If the Bills sign Matt Moore, it means they are DEFINITELY trading up in the draft for a "big four" QB.

There's no way that with a QB depth chart of Matt Moore and Nate Peterman, you're content sitting around until 21 and hoping you land a guy.

If Moore signs, it's a trade-up. Period.

Without doubt.  If we sign one of these guys then the odds of us trading up is pretty damn high.
