Here is the current roster including the injured and practice squad.  A couple of tough decisions, but not many.  I cleaned the clock pretty good so will need to grab quite a few special teams players.

Why are we only keeping 22 members of a playoff roster and letting go of 31, several of which are under contract and would actually cost us money to cut?

I would def keep Zay, Borders, and Kyle. Some others too, you can't really turn over the whole roster.

I agree.   Kyle I'd keep, but would have to be at a lower cost.  He was about 7 million this year.

If he wants to play, I think he would restructure. He's not going to play somewhere else.

There will be turnover again, but not a 30+ player turnover. It's basically impossible to do something like that and keep your chemistry. We are a solid QB away from having been on our way to Foxboro right now.

I enjoy it when so much work goes behind what constitutes an obvious list of knee-jerk decisions. Charles Clay not on this roster costs exactly the same amount as he does, so why would we create a hole for zero cap savings.

Kyle gets maybe 1-2MM and becomes a rotational DT. He does not have a full season left anymore.

First, this is a cool offseason topic.  And great job putting together the list.  But, I think you "let go" a few too many depth guys who won't cost a lot such as: Colt Anderson, Cadet, Dupre, Holmes, Humber, and Henderson.  etc.   Also, I would DEF keep Clay and Zay Jones,.

if he agreed to do that, it would be fantastic.  He'd be a great rotational DT with to go along with whomever we pick at DT and/or bring in as a FA.

I do think we will see significant turnover again but not to this extreme.  Somewhere closer to 25

Zay Jones is not being let go. We traded up for him. Let's give him more than one year.

I think Malachi Dupre is a better prospect than given credit for, I loved him coming out of college, I'd really like to see him get a shot.
