While I'm glad he did this and I believe and appreciate the sentiment, I hate these kinds of letters that seem to written by a PR firm. It should sound like Marcel. Through the seven years I lived and played for you, and even through the tough times, I always felt your love, kindness and encouragement. For this I can’t thank you enough. Just playing and living in Buffalo wasn’t enough for me either. I am glad that while I was there I was able to give back and reach the less fortunate parts of the community. But say what you will about Dareus' immaturity (and there is plenty of legit criticism there), he always seemed like a "good guy" to me. I've never met him, but know several people who have---they have nothing bad to say about his interpersonal demeanor. I'm betting these are fairly close to his legitimate thoughts---but dressed up in fancier prose than Marcell probably could have put together on his own. So incredibly stupid. So glad Whaley and Rex are gone and impressed at how quickly these guys are repairing the damage. Unfortunate he was such a waste and he plays for an AFC competitor now, I just hope he continues to underachieve and the D can continue playing well without skippin a beat.
