New Era sign is atrocious

Your joking, right? You do see the difference between selling FOOTBALL hats and razor blades? At a FOOTBALL stadium?

Patriots Place is such a bad example, from what I remember they have advertisements from different company in their parking lots. Kraft is the exact opposite of what Buffalo was/is. Patriot place is a damn mall now a days.

Everybody sees that sign whether entering or driving by the stadium. Why not show the latest selection. It looks like a billboard because it is. This is just the first step in a multi level marketing campaign. This partnership will be good for both the Bills and New Era as well as the NFL.

Right. Pretty sure that sign is like a billboard that will change up. And more signage is to come.

But it's Hyper Tizzy Fit week on TSW, and I always go with the crowd, so boo that man Rex. It's his fault. And how did our medical staff not test out bright colorful signage and its potential to cause seizures?

Yes, buying the naming rights is an advertisement, but you don't see giant 50 foot razor blades next to "Home of the New England Patriots" in Foxboro. You don't have to make the front door of the stadium literally a grouping of your new hats for sale. Some have said this is only temporary, and I hope that it is. It does look like a billboard. There's no arguing that (and I do believe that's the point of the whole thread).

I think you're more justified in this thread than 90% of the useless opinions on the board during the offseason.

I get what you're saying, but what I don't get is why the outrage as if this hasn't been done before. Have you been to Bank of America Stadium? It LITERALLY looks like you're entering a BofA branch and the entire stadium looks like a giant ATM.

*very thankful that the Bills have a corporate sponsor in Buffalo that sponsored the name of the stadium

*thankful that the product has to do with sports, football and the Bills.

after all, it could have been worse-

It's not Ralph Wilson Stadium anymore.

But if they are to honor the builders, they should name it - Thanks Erie County Taxpayers Stadium.

That is one of many options that would look cooler than an ad, is all. When I've been lucky enough to be there I'd always noticed the Welcome sign during the walk up and thought it was cool, so I look forward to seeing what they do with it.

So, this is what we get nowadays? a topic is generated we get 3 of the first posts as pure BS. Of the first 10 posts, a minority offer constructive thought.

Hey, kids. This IN crap has to go. You're not the moderators. Let them decide what happens. If you dont like it, don't bother posting. You look like whiny bitches.

The season starts soon, buckle up your chin straps

Please stay on topic.

They don't owe him anything!!! In fact, what they've done far exceeds what other teams have done. They built him a statue and named a plaza after him!! Why don't Wellington Mara, Lamar Hunt or George Halas have their names on stadiums?

They don't owe Ralph Wilson anything?

You immediately lose all credibility with all clear thinking Bills fans with that statement.

I love it, the new name. It is time to move on.

Who is arguing against the new stadium name?

This is about the billboard sign. I'm thinking it's probably temporary, so there's really not much more to say about it, and I hope they come up with something a bit more tasteful for the Stadium's major entrance sign.

I'm with you here, that change can't cost too much to make (<10k), so at $5MM a year, maybe NE negotiated some full takeovers.

The current hat create is fine, I guess, but does't feel right for the season, IMO. I prefer something that says it's the BILLS house - big wordmark logo, "Home of the Buffalo Bills" the Championship logos, etc.

Interesting that the add-on above the scoreboard is "New Era Field" (with their logos prominently displayed), does that still leave the door open to "at Ralph Wilson Stadium" underneath it on the actual scoreboard before the season?

oddly, the add on above the scoreboard in that pic is photoshopped. It hasn't been put up yet. It's not there at this time. The posts it's held under by stop at the top of the billboard.
