Brady/Patriots fines

Recommended Posts

While I think the "scandal" aspect of this is way overblown, the Patriots denials are a complete load of crap.

I hope none of the penalties are reduced. Not because I think deflating balls a bit is a big deal, but because they are arrogant d-bags.

Color me unimpressed if that was the best Brady**'s dream team can offer. Let's continue to try to bog everything down in science mumbo-jumbo, the texts are just jokes from jokey jokesters, the "stress trying to get them done" was a reference to one of the Marrone's having to resell tickets for his sick sister(?") - on and on - give me a f'ing break. So much verbal vomit saying so little of substance, but confusing nonetheless which I guess is the whole point.

The lawyers must have been high-fiving each other after finishing that. They actually got paid good money to sling that load of horseshit. And I love how the TBD filter has never caught that word.

Exactly. Talk about it being detrimental to the league, this website is detrimental to the league.

@gdowning14: The Patriots say Jim McNally referred to himself as the "deflator" because he was trying to lose weight. http://t.co/Hem37MZIDH

Apparently, when he texted Jastremski at halftime of the Packers game to "Deflate and give somebody the jkt" he was telling Jastremski to go get a Diet Pepsi.

read it lol. its pretty embarrassing what they are trying to do explaining away the texts. They are saying he used the term "deflator" in regard to trying to lose weight. It's really lame.

That's unbelievable ...throw enough against the wall I guess

These are supposed to be a dream team of attorneys. How can any reasonable person take them and that seriously? That is an embarrassment to Brady and to the league.

So..that is why he was going to go to ESPN, about his weight loss goals? Patriot fans are the only ones that would believe this!

They don't even believe it. They just say they do. No sane person in the entire world actually believes that, no matter how deluded they may be.

Some great comments. My favorite (so far) - "only the pats [sic] would get caught with their hand in the cookie jar and claim they were trying to lose weight"

This is one part of the attack on the Wells report by the Cheats that could have some merit. It sounds like a legit criticism, but I'm the furthest thing from an expert on the matter.

Does the Nobel prize winner have an explanation for Tommy Boy lying and refusing to hand over his hand-picked correspondence?

No? Okay then, suspension upheld.

He's right, and it is a legitimate criticism. Except that it really only means they cannot prove 100% that the science is correct, they can only prove 99%. ;)

Actually, CBA covers fines for coaches as well.

I'm not sure about that, as I read it didn't affect the Sean Payton punishment because he had no union, but they didn't fine the coach anyway, they fined the team and took away draft picks from the team.

I thought for sure this was from an Onion article until I searched it and found that this is what the Pats are actually claiming!
