The media vs Josh Allen (QB First Impressions article)
ndirish1978 replied to BB@Shooter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rodak isn't a real journalist, he's a paid troll. The fanbase deserves much better than Rodak. -
Times change. Remember when 411 was a thing and you had to pay per search for information you can get for free in about a second now? That's what these sports columnists at TBN are. They don't provide inside information, they just posted click-bait drivel to try and drive traffic to the site in order to justify getting paid for being professional trolls. Newspapers are/were important because they provided information to an uninformed public. Some time in the 90s when personality-driven content became the trendy thing a bunch of sports columnists stopped including insider info in their writing and decided to just make "hot takes" in order to grow their personal brands. People are no longer willing to pay for that crap. TBN sports desk doomed itself when it ostracized itself from the teams it covered and started getting scooped by the national media. I don't need a TBN sub to get Bills news, I just need a twitter feed. Why would I pay money to read poorly written troll pieces by Bucky and Sullivan? The only way for local journalists to maintain relevancy is to provide the local audience with information that national reporters don't have access to. TBN has failed in that and has only themselves to blame for it.

Buffalo News in financial trouble
ndirish1978 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kind of hard to feel bad for them and their geocities online presence. I've seen more intuitive webpage designs in high school newspapers. They doggedly refuse to get rid of writers people hate and are clinging to a business model that hasn't been successful since the 80s. -

Still no cheerleaders for the Bills?
ndirish1978 replied to MC Hamburg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is there some sort asinine bet going on how long we can keep this topic alive that I'm unaware of? This is like the 4th thread this offseason talking about a cheerleading squad that has been gone for years and will not return. -
Which TBD poster made this video???

This guy's voice is so awful I just couldn't get through more than 3 phrases and I really wanted to be able to. -

Do we have the worst QB situation in the league?
ndirish1978 replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You could say we have the worst situation. I prefer to say we have the least established QB room in the league. Our presumed vet starter could be great, or he could stink; same goes for our rookie QB. I prefer to think of it as a high-upside room, but yeah we could be in for a rough few years if our FO was wrong about this. -
Would like to see Bills on Hard Knocks
ndirish1978 replied to SteveFreeman22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Cardinals (All or Nothing), Chiefs and Bengals have had shows. I wouldn't class them as more interesting to the general public than the Bills. That said, though I would love to see more of the process in action, I wouldn't want anything that could distract the team from winning. -
I would prefer we didn't sign a walking pharmacy to negatively influence the younger players in the locker room.

Pegula kids firing back at Buffalo News
ndirish1978 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TBN will have no one but themselves to blame when they are forced to fire writers because of declining readership. No one is asking for sunshine and rainbows, but their constant nattering about the Pegulas in columns like some sort of a scorned ex has been tacitly ratified by the higher-ups by continuing to employ these goofs . The act is old and tired and I'm not reading their columns anymore, I know many of you already avoid their opinion stuff, I'd encourage the rest of you not to give them clicks. We can complain about the stupidity in Sully's columns but them we create threads linking to them. The only way to not have to complain about the bile they write is to stop giving them clicks and money, maybe that will force a change. -

Tim Graham is the only person over there writing things I read; occasionally Carucci does too. I haven't read this column, I stopped reading Sullivan's trash a while ago and I'm better off for it. TBN made a decision they were going to remain irrelevant when they changed management over there and kept that moron on the payroll. The sub is cheap as hell and I still won't support them because of content like this - wouldn't give a penny to support Sullivan having a job. That'd be like paying trolls to post on this board. -
Maybe the Jills did not have it so bad....
ndirish1978 replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Exactly. The NFL version is not actual cheerleading. Actual competitive cheerleaders will tell you that it is a crazy difficult gymnastic sport. The NFL features dance troupes, not cheerleaders by the definition of the sport. NFL cheerleaders are to cheering as my getting in my car and driving to work is to NASCAR. -
RUMOR - Agent claims NE wanted Mayfield at #2
ndirish1978 replied to CommonCents's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The concept is ludicrous. NE might have liked to have traded up, but why the heck would the Giants move from 2 to the end of the 1st rd? You're talking about a GM in Gettleman who has never traded back in the 1st and next year's first rounder wasn't going to help him win now. That's like me saying I would have dated Jennifer Lawrence were I not with my current gf, it's so far-fetched it's ridiculous.
