We spent 2 first round picks for the right to draft him, stop the semantics. Did we draft in the first round of 2015?

I think the real question is "would you draft Khalil Mack with next year's first rounder?" Cause we gave up TWO first round picks for Watkins and he turned out to be meh. I don't get the people balking at getting a DPOY for an early draft pick.

Look at the DEs drafted in the 1st rd in the past 4 years. Which ones would you take over Mack? Arik Armstead (17 - 2015) Shane Ray (23 - 2015) Joey Bosa (3-2016) DeForest Buckner (7 - 2016) Shaq Lawson (16 - 2016) Myles Garrett (1 - 2017) Derek Barnett (14 - 2017) Charles Harris (22 -2017) Taco Charlton (28 -2017) Bradley Chubb (5 - 2018) Marcus Davenport (14 - 2018) The only 2 I would put in the conversation with Mack are Bosa and maybe Garrett and they were both top 3 picks. If we put together a typical Billsy season and win 6-9 games we'd be picking closer to the Shaw Lawson Derek Barnett range, I would take Mack over every guy picked in that range in the past couple of years.

Hoping for Groy and Teller - Ducasse and Bodine are awful.

I would prefer he not have to face the Ravens in Baltimore, Chargers with sick pass rushers even at home, Vikings in Minny and Packers in Green Bay while standing behind 4 human speed bumps and Dawkins. If I'm being honest I'd rather keep him out til week 7 and avoid the Texans as well, though I dunno if Peterman and McCarron will be alive then.

I'd prefer Peterman or McCarron start the season just like him. I don't want Allen on the field with that terrible O-line for the first 4 games, he'll get killed.

Yeah I'm not against trading for Mack, it just seems like LG, C, RT are still a big need. LG wouldn't be a need if I thought Castillo would pull his head out of where it currently is and put Teller in to replace Ducasse, but I've seen little evidence he's willing to put his buddy on the bench.

Peterman has no velocity on his throws. Allen can throw the ball late and still fit it in a tight window. I didn't want Jooosh starting this early, especially behind this abomination of an Oline, but he's for sure our best bet back there.
