  1. I wonder if the Bills did any of #2?, that one does make sense. WRT #4 it likely does kill an entire day going from morning to England during the daytime where as going from west to east coast, team can still practice in morning and get to east coast at a reasonable time. Your 2nd point the more I think about really did screw us and was rather unfair as it was our home game. Agree, but not sure going a day or two earlier would have helped either. 2nd half looked better, but still struggled. IMO the injuries were the bigger thing and can't blame injuries on the offensive side. Is Jax defense just that good or something else? O line had a rough game WRT penalties.
  2. Did he actually retire and turn in papers? Believe there's a difference WRT eligibility to return if actually retired. Just last week read how Matt Ryan did NOT turn in retirement papers so he could come back and play. Not sure what it all means or doesn't mean, but apparently there is some type of difference.
  3. So the problem with this argument is Jax and Atlanta traveled over the week prior on Thursday night too and the traveling Thursday night prior to the game has kind of become the NFL standard for games in Europe. Granted the fact that Jax has been there for the full week does give them a big advantage, but not sure they should change the travel plans because of that. Other than going over Sunday night or the latest Monday night wouldn't have changed much and then you're changing your entire weekly travel plans anyway. NFL teams are creatures of habit so really don't think you'd want to that drastically change plans that much. As also pointed out it was a six hour plane ride, that's only one hour longer when west coast teams travel to east coast (granted 5 hours rather than 3 hours) The only thing that what's become the standard Thursday night red eye to Europe plane trip differs from most normal east to west coast trips is that most West coast NFL teams will practice Friday am, then get on a plane around 1:00PM PST and land say in Buffalo including the time difference around 10:00 PM EST so not really messing with sleep plans. But with one hour longer trip and extra two hours time difference, plus add in Healthrow airport appears to have rather strict airport landing times, not sure its possible. Not sure what the evening curfew is, but in the morning if plane arrives prior to 6:00 AM it has to circle, can't land. So guessing nothing later than 10 or 11 PM is allowed to land? IMO the only thing to blame is the advantage Jax is given with 2 weeks straight over there.
  4. Well better than a knee.
  5. Last week in the Wednesday prior to the game coach press conference McDaniel's singled out Taron Johnson as being one of the best nickel CB in the league.
  6. All three of our guys are in quadrant 1 which is impressive. Will be interesting to see in 3 or 4 weeks where Jackson plots out.
  7. Yeah there was one day earlier in the week we had to like them. Glad that's over with!
  8. Believe I read there are 162 people on the the flight, only two more than normal for road games. I'd think the PS travels to all road games as no idea about last minute injuries?? Was hoping this thread was going to have a long list of Jags that are also out??
  9. We have to hope Miami doesn't do the same to us in December! On the other hand how much noise can ten people make?
  10. The only thing in Miami's favor is it usually takes until the 2nd year to blow up. Right now he'll be on his best behavior so could help them this season.
  11. Wow almost two full pages and didn't see one Brown needs to go response
  12. No that can't be!
  13. So Allen finished wit ha perfect 158.3 passing rating. I don't follow that level of detail much, so is that a somewhat common thing league wide? Like typically on any given Sunday does one QB in the league have a perfect rating? Or is it once a month it might happen, twice a year?? How rare/common is it? OK so just answered my own question, decided to look it up, thank you Google!! Since 2010 there have been 17 "perfect" games, 2 by Brady and Lamar, Allen is the first one to occur since Brady in Dec 2020 Brady, Peyton and Big Ben have all had 3 lifetime. Couple names you'd be a bit surprised to see on the list as not considered a great QB, Geno Smith, Alex Smith, Mariota, and Cousins
  14. May depend on what the team thought of Rapps play?
  15. Yeah but owners most often own the team till the day they die, and Krafts kid is taking a bigger role every year so he'll likely be owning the team longer than BB is coaching.
  16. OK but other than SF, the Bills are playing the same teams, plus Chargers and Bengals who by the time they meet, may have figured things out
  17. Think it creates a bigger problem there as having Higgins you end up splitting passes thrown to more. For all the people wanting to upgrade from Davis to someone like a Hopkins could make that issue worse with Diggs.
  18. Agree another option, could go that way. They seem to like Kingsley
  19. If BB were 20 years younger , I could se it. But even if true, not likely he'd be around long enough to enjoy the good years Williams may provide. Could see Kraft wanting that, but if Kraft told BB that, think he's try to win even harder. As others have said can't see BB accepting that as to him passing Shula in wins is more important. Plus think overall Pats have too much talent to lose enough to get the #1 overall. There's been many other just as talented college QB's who were total flops in the NFL so I wouldn't count on anything yet for Williams.
  20. Speaking from experience I tore mind almost 30 years ago, 6 months after Marino tore his and recalled him talking about it in a press conference how when it happened he turned around as thought some one kicked him in the back of his ankle. That was exactly how I felt so based on Marino's comments I told the people I was with, I think I just tore my Achilles and they all thought I was crazy. 2 hours later at the ER confirmed it. So yes would agree you likely know it right away. A simple test is laying down with legs out and doctor places his hand against your foot and tell you to push or pull. When it's torn you can't.
  21. Or Poona Ford?? They've been keeping him active the past two Sundays over Ford so could see it going that way too.
  22. I started following the Bills in the mid 80's around the start of the Kelly era. Based on that time frame, I'd put this game in the top 5 along with Raiders AFC Championship game, the Houston comeback, and the near perfect NE game from 2 years ago.
  23. Showing only 3 sacks against Miami, didn't Floyd have one earlier too?
  24. I did see him walk back onto the field in uniform so seemed to be OK
  25. Why The only bizarre part is that the Bills drafted a 6th rounder from a small school and can play as well as he has been. If Benford wasn't on the team Elam would be active and good chance starting over Jackson.
