  1. Likely everytime there's a commercial break on WGR, Schoop spends the entire time laughing at how he makes these comments and the rating go through the roof as everyone is talking about his show.
  2. Understand, Not saying Cam was better either. My point is if I were a WR and got traded to Green Bay, Pitt, NE, or New Orleans, I'd say yes I have a QB now. Others, good, but not great. Happy for the deal, but didn't understand that comment
  3. I'm not a TT hater by any means, but this is still a stretch.
  4. Usually hard to appeal that isn't it?
  5. Just read the ESPN article about his arrival in Jax. Talked about how shocked he was to be traded. One thing he did say, thought was kind of funny and the reason he's now in Jax, he mentioned how he arrived in the middle of the worlds largest cocktail party. Certainly he'd be one to notice, just what he needs.
  6. Biggest concern I see with picking up any WR/TE is the time it takes to build up a relationship with the QB. You're not likely to get good value back for him this season. Even when the Bills picked up Loften mid-early season, he didn't do all that much the 1st year. Think that may be part of the problem today with Mathews too. Think that's the position that takes the most time to jell.
  7. A big reason we don't throw much to WR is they aren't strong enough to scare the opposing defense. Put a guy like Hilton out there with Mathews and a combo of Jones, Holmes, and can't recall the guy who had 100 yards last weeks and defenses will need to start paying more attention.
  8. But only in Buffalo and NYC, typically no secondary markets like Rochester, etc. If you're on LI, likely can get the local NYC OTA telecast
  9. People hate to look dumb, so they double down and look even dumber. Guess that's dumb and dumber all rolled into one.
  10. Re #7 on the PI, two points I'd make, if you're going to call that, on the next Raiders drive forget who it was pushed off on the Bills DB and no call. If you want to cal lit tight, call it both ways. 2nd point, never saw a replay showing both Mathews and TT together, but based on where Mathews pushed off and eventually caught the pass, seemed too much time for the ball to have already been in the air when he pushed off. If the pass hadn't yet left TT's hand it can't be PI. That's how it'c called on the defensive side, holding before pass is thrown, PI once ball is in the air. One other point, was a little surprised with the Bills scored the TD to go to 27. I was wondering if they would have gone for two so they'd be up by 14? I'm not a big fan of "chasing points" and was stil la little bit early to start. The last TD, by then was too late to mater.
  11. If it's concussion related may be they sent him home to lay down in a dark room which is often prescribed
  12. Hmmm..... read the title thought the guys was having some kind of spinal issues.
  13. Recently was reading the scouting reports on Peterman, certainly sounds like he could be good, you just never know. Last Monday night were making such a big deal about Goff's size 6'4" and 240 lbs. Peterman was listed at 6'-2" and 215. Is two inches and 20 pounds that much of a difference.?
  14. They got rid of a guy wit ha huge contract, one misstep away fro m a one year suspension, and who's hasn't played a whole lot. That's the best value they'd ever get for him.
  15. Great idea, can you give us the name of the guy who's guaranteed to be great? Maybe an Andy Dalton, Joe Flacco, or a Ryan Tannerhill clone??
  16. So they drafted Peterman this year, how's he working out?? Jet's drafted one 3 out of 4 years, did it work for them? That's the problem with this ridiculous idea that keeps coming up of drafting one every year. You never have any time to develop anyone to know if they are any good. I've read the backup QB (#2 guy) gets like 6 snaps each week with the first team#3, probably none. Even in the off season, with the limited rules backups get limited snaps. The problem too with QB's is very few are worth the money they are paid. IMO the only ones truly worth what they are being paid are; Brady Rodgers, Brees, and Big Ben. There are another few that are close to being worth the money; Ryan, Stafford, Palmer, Rivers and maybe Luck and Wilson. That's 10 out of 32 There are probably 5 or 6 that look like they could become the next real deal, but likely by the time they do become great, I'd estimate 5 of the 10 on my great list may be retired. Then there are another 10 to 15 tears that have guys that are paid like elite QB's but don't play like one, but eat up so much of the salary cap you can't afford to put a great team around him, but they aren't good enough themselves to carry the team very far. Flacco, Dalton, Tannerhill, Manning, Newton, You have a few guys who win while on their rookie (cheap) contract, but once they start making the big bucks, they need to cut a few other very good players and the team does OK, may win a wild card game, but not good enough to go far (see Wilson and Cam) So my point is you don't just need a franchise QB, you need one of those half dozen in the first list. Your only other option is to win real fast as once the middle of the road guy hits that 2nd contract, you can't sign enough good players around him. I would like to see Peterman possibly next year or the year after, let him learn for a year or two first, maybe he is the answer. Or maybe not. But likely there is as much chance of him being the next Tom Brady as there is of him being the next Ryan Leaf. So all this talk of needing improved QB play, while I don't disagree, it's much much harder than people make it out to be.
  17. Maybe I missed it but did McD come out and state that was the play he told TT to run, to throw it to the guy in the flat 3 yards up field? Even the play prior was that the planned 1st option
  18. Sure, absolutely true. But what makes you think we don't end up worse? There are more failures at QB than success. TT isn't going to an Arron Rodgers type or even a Dalton, but you could end up worse. Would be interesting to see what TT could do with an improved O-line, and legit group of WR. And please don't say that had one and traded him as he's not doing that much more in LA than he did here, and now he has what appears to be a good QB. Plus no guarantees he wouldn't be hurt again like he often was.
  19. Think it's more a case of people in high profile leadership positions understand much more about what is going on than people who post on message boards and have absolutely know idea what is actually going on inside the room.
  20. Would be interesting to see what TT could do wit ha legit WR group and a good line.
  21. LOL Yup And they are 3-1, Obviously they know much more than you think you know. But hey keep thinking you're a genius and keep posting like this enough, you may convince yourself!
  22. Heard them talking yesterday on ESPN about NE's troubles on defense and maybe they need to think about trading Jimmy Garoppolo would you trade him for Darius straight up? Assuming he agreed to an extension prior to making the deal. NE is maybe the one place that wouldn't be scared off by his salary and also the one place that may be able to straighten him out. I'm sure Gilmore could help him adapt!
  23. Admittedly I don't know when the tests happened but I'd imagine Henderson was more concerned with recovering or even just living than the NFL's drug policy.
  24. One of the announcers also stated something about the rules changing slightly that the burden of proof to over rule what was called on the field has gotten higher.
  25. Can't imagine any team willing to trade for him even for 10 cents on the dollar when you factor in his big fat contract. Unless we do a Trevor Simeion like trade to Cleveland.
