Yeah, but don't compare NHL viewing numbers to NFL viewing numbers. The Sabres do draw extremely well, by NHL standards. But lots of NFL markets would easily surpass the Bills viewing numbers. I think the Bills are perceived, right now, to have an exciting, high-scoring, offensive minded team with a great OC who is going to leave for a HC job this off-season. So we may get a good viewing slot for that reason. People don't want to see boring teams.

For some reason, I have been assuming we would play on Saturday, not Sunday, but I haven't analyzed this as deeply as the OP. I do agree with the theory that "better" teams (higher seeds) play later in the day as those are *in theory* the good teams everyone wants to see and they get the higher network TV priority. So the Bills going on at 8:15 on either day makes sense to me. I am dying to see our first playoff game and can't wait for it to get started, so I assume we will play in the dead last time slot, 8:15pm Sunday Night. 😂

I think "rested starters = rusty players" is one of many sports myths discussed by fans, but not actually existing in reality. There is a decent chance that anyone can get hurt in any game, including these end-of-year lame duck games. If the outcome of the game is meaningless, ALL important players should be sat from beginning to end. Makes for a REALLY boring game as a Bills fan, but who cares. This entire season has been, is, and will continue to be about Bills success *in the playoffs*. Rest everybody! I'd hire rentals to play this game if we could!

Benny the Butcher “We the Mafia” new fight somg
Nextmanup replied to Sundancer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is part of why I hate the whole "Bills Mafia" thing in the first place. That moniker came to fruition through Bills outsiders and those outside of WNY, speaking about Bills fans. I have no idea how they came to use that term, but it was their term, not ours. Why do we want to be associated with "mafia" and "thug life" and so on? I hate this stuff! Buffalo isn't Compton or Oakland or South Chicago, or ....... -
So basically, a Buffalo Bills jinx thread. 🤮

I would hope so. If he isn't All-Pro, who is? Guy is Mr. Consistency.

Post-game riot between Miss. St. & Tulsa.

Awesome! When do these 2 teams play again? Mark your calendars now. -
LOL; I always figure the heavyweight posters here have those kinds of jobs...killing time in a cubicle somewhere posting here like crazy. It's alway amazing how much the posting drops off here when it's not working hours. Which is kind of ironic if you think about it.

I was always a Mary Ann kind of guy, not Ginger. Even when I was just a young kid I always sort of instinctively thought of her as the cuter of the two. You would always see her in an interview or something long after the show was over, and she seemed to age very well. Was a cute little thing her entire life.

What makes this moronic? The fact that the ice doesn't cover the entire body of water? I don't ice fish nor do I have the time or inclination to do so. Living in Florida also gets in the way. 🤣

Where did you guys grow up? I didn't think Jeremy was from Buffalo. Maybe I have that wrong.

There are some pretty knowledgable computer gamers around here and I think someone will give you a good answer. I don't know what it is myself!

Knox gives off the vibe of potentially being a stud running/catching TE, but somehow falls short more often than not. I think the Bills should be targeting a stud TE this off-season as highly as any position on the field, and dedicating significant assets to the acquisition. High draft pick, trade, or free agent....I would be looking for a stud TE all the time. I think it's the number one way that this offense can improve to an even higher level. I actually thought about Gronk. Is his tank low? What was the term on his K in TB? Would he come play for a year in WNY? He's probably not the answer but I would look to get a Gronk type in here if we can! I know they don't grow on trees.

I think we will see exactly the same thing from Buffalo, and it sounds like a lot of fans here are going to be surprised by that, and upset. Pretty sure your average NFL coaching staff would approach this situation the same as Pittsburgh. I.E., guaranteed player health (via not playing) exceeds the value of playing to win, but with risk of injury.

NFLPA Pres seeks to permanently end OTAs and minicamps
Nextmanup replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't have a problem getting rid of that stuff. Get rid of the pre-season, too, please. Add more regular season games if necessary, that's fine! There aren't enough games in the regular season anyone. And remember, you don't have to get hit to put mileage on the odometer. These guys are running themselves down all the time and injuries often result from non-contact and only the injured player being involved. -
Steelers officially playing backups vs Browns
Nextmanup replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have said all along this week that the Bills would not play their best players and that this was the right approach. The fanbase here seems to much more heavily value higher seeding rather than being healthy. As you point out, the teams themselves value health, not seeding, which is interesting to note, especially for the future. Hopefully we Bills fans find ourselves in many similar debates for years to come. You aren't thinking things through. The argument would be that the #2 seed is not valuable if, along with it, comes an injury to any of our key players that currently make the Bills machine go. The short list would be Allen, Diggs, Beasley, Singletary, Moss, White, Milano, Poyer, Hyde, Edmunds... I would not trade any 1 or more of those players being OUT for the Number 2 seeding. Fully healthy Bills Team > seeding concerns. -
Anyone watching any NFL game this year knows that pretty much all players on all teams play loose and fast with COVID 19 rules like wearing a mask, social distancing, etc., at least some of the time. Sometimes they seem to care or remember to be careful, a lot of the time they don't. I think they just get caught up in the game itself, which is understandable. Tua has to be a close contact of Fitzy. He has to. I'm sure he'll be allowed to play though, b/c Miami needs a QB on the field.

I remember watching that game! I was 15 years old. I turn 50 in a couple of weeks.
