I am disappointed to see we don't have a dedicated thread announcing the firing. Will Gregggg move on to yet another team, or has this league finally figured things out? I bet he gets another job.

Those are all great sets, including my beloved Galaxy Explorer! That yellow "builder set" is quite cool. That looks like the type of thing that was just before my time with Lego, by only a few years. The trains are all fantastic, I really like those. I have the relatively recent "Emerald Night" that I will never sell. I honestly think it's one of the best, cleanest pieces of Lego design ever. There is a cool new train set out now, the crocodile. E.N.: Crocodile: That spaceship was the biggest, coolest thing to have in the world of Lego the year it came out. Or at least one of the best Lego sets. Everyone wanted it and it was impossible to get a hold of, especially pre-internet or Lego.com. I agree it is now horribly dated and it doesn't feature any particularly special build techniques! My 8 year old self (or however old I was) thought it was absolutely amazing.

You're right, we should stick to reports of fat people throwing human excrement at other humans over a dispute at fast food restaurants. You probably wouldn't like it, don't worry about it.

Back before the draft in which all these QBs came out (Allen, Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, etc.), people seemed to be in agreement that success for ANY of them would depend a lot on the circumstances they found themselves in on their team. Would they get the right nurturing, development, coaching? Would they enter an organizational tire fire? Ironically, most of the bigger names (at the time) seem to have found themselves in bad situations, including Mayfield. I would argue Mayfield has the talent to overcome that, and the Browns' situation has leveled off to help as well. But Darnold is in a nightmare situation, and Josh Rosen might have had the least lucky start to an NFL career in NFL history. I still say Josh Rosen has a shot at salvaging his career, but it will be down the road in a second or third or 4th life kind of situation, something like Tannehill is doing now in Nashville. Of the bunch, Josh Allen seems to have found himself in the best supportive situation where growth is possible.

Success = one playoff victory. Nothing less. Could be more than one victory; can't be less than one.

I know there are others here who listen to and enjoy his podcast. Dan was recently on Lex Fridman's podcast (which is another excellent podcast worth checking out if you have not). I really enjoyed Dan's discussion with Lex.

I'm always amazed at how popular our uniforms are with Bills fans. They are not bad uniforms, but they aren't close to the best in the league. And the '70s buffalo logo with the slash across it is just such dated, bad, graphic design now.

You have to love an NFL team taking a defensive tackle way before a QB with Mahomes' talent. And of course, it wasn't just the Chiefs who passed on him! That's not hindsight 20/20 crap, that's how these NFL teams operate, and they are all equally bad. If Mahomes had flamed out, get the next Mahomes, and the next, and grab a couple every draft class until you have one that works. Defensive tackles? Who cares.

This is cool but the Russian event in 2013 makes for better viewing. One of these days something really big is going to hit and it's not going to be pretty when it does. The good news is "that day" might still be 10,000 years off. Of course, it could also be tomorrow!

I don't think he meant anything by it, but I'm quite sure he was told to make the apology. Most fans here seem to hate Collinsworth, and I assume that's because he is the opposite of an attacking, bitter kind of guy who would try to make a negative comment about females. He's exactly the opposite of that during his broadcasts. Everything and everyone is fantastic in his world.

Long weekend. Adding the day off to the weekend gives you a solid 3 day period away from work; recharges the batteries and that makes a difference. Also makes for a noticeably shorter work week. "Friday" (Thursday) comes awfully quickly each week when you are used to a 5 day work week. Using the day off on, say, a Wednesday, wastes it.

Can't wait for this technology to be shrunk down so I can put it in the back of my DeLorean.

I don't know that it's linked to Daboll, per se, but sure, a regression is possible. I was watching Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore last night, and noting how freaking horrible RG III is now. Remember when he was the Patrick Mahomes of his day? Remember when he walked on water, and people talked of the 10 year run Washington would enjoy under his Quarterbacking? Times can change with a QB. Goff is another. Is he good or bad? His up and down and up again. We still don't know what Josh Allen is. He is inconsistent game to game and quarter to quarter. Part of an uphill learning curve that he'll overcome? Just who he is? Time will tell.

When this TD was scored, I was thinking the thread title. It's nice to know that Daboll seemingly has a trick play ready to pull out of his pocket if/when he needs it, and it has a high chance of actually working. This could save our ass in a tight playoff game.

This is the spirit! In the last 10 years or so, Lego has learned that a huge percentage of their buyers are adults, not kids. There is still plenty of the kid stuff, but there are increasingly more and more adult sets with huge purchase prices. It never used to be like this, but it gets better all the time. The golden age of Lego is right here, right now. The design quality is a thousand light years ahead of where it was in the '90s, for example. I equate building Lego to doing a crossword puzzle, jigsaw puzzle, or something like that. It's really enjoyable and relaxing. Oddly enough, organizing pieces for your own creations (MOCS) can also be extremely therapeutic! You can spend hours gathering and sorting pieces into bins. I find it really relaxing. Burns of stress from my work. I think a lot of Lego fans might agree with you about the Colosseum, which is what will make it a great investment set! I'm a huge fan of military history and all things ancient Rome, so for me, it's a must buy. But a lot of Lego fans are not into the "micro" design concept.

Depending on what you have and how complete everything is, selling them on Ebay can be hugely profitable. You can use the profits to pad your bank account, AND replace the Legos you sold with new sets. I am selling a ton of sets right now for the Christmas season. Lego is much better than stocks! Good sets that will always have demand often double and more in price once the set goes EOL (end of line; discontinued). One of my favorite recent sets was the huge UCS Super Star Destroyer. Over 4 feet long, 3,200 pieces, wonderful engineering particularly on the interior. I bought it, enjoyed it, built, stared at it on the coffee table...then sold it for $830 on Ebay maybe 3 years later, having paid $400 for it new. That money went into the next cool one, and so on. There are 2 awesome sets out there right now: the aforementioned UCS M.F., and the UCS Star Destroyer. One is $800, one is $700. Buy 2 of each and the spare set will pay for the both of them a few years down the road. I have stuff from the '70s. What's your favorite? I have a complete "Yellow castle" in my mom's attic in Buffalo. My nephew found it and built it a few years ago! I won't sell that one...too much nostalgia. That and the "Galaxy Explorer" were the jewels in my Lego crown as a kid in the '70s and early '80s.

What were they before? Don't like the all white look. They seem to play around with the uniforms a lot. I wish they would direct their energy into replacing the now horribly dated "charging bison" logo on the side of the helmet. Its design shouts out 1970s, and not in a good way.

Interesting mix there. Lots of different Bond actors.
