Jalen Ramsey trash talking a lot of QB's
Dadonkadonk replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately I agree with him that Matt Ryan is overrated. He chokes. Hope he is wrong about Allen. -
I have only two measures of success 1. Playoffs regardless of the QB 2. Allen starts at some point and shows he has franchise QB potential - don't care how many wins/losses. In fact if no playoffs the fewer the wins the better
-
I still contend Ryan was fine as an in-game HC. If he had just kept Schwartz he would still be the HC now and Whaley probably is still the GM. All he had to do was add a few blitz packages to what Schwartz and the D would have been great. Whaley could have continued to focus on QB and the offense, instead of finding players to fit Ryan's defense. Zero chance he gets a HC job in the NFL. I do think a college job is possible at someplace like Kansas or Washington State. Some low tier school in a big conference looking for a spark.

How Many Preseason Games Should There Be?
Dadonkadonk replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McBeane knew 48 of the 53 to make the roster before camp even started. Hell we could probably guess 45 of the 53 without too much trouble. Preseason games are pointless and just a chance for injury. Starting QBs will be lucky to throw 30 passes in 4 games and none of those plays will be in the playbook. Then they will start game 1 and pass for 300+ with ease. I voted 2 but as i type this post I've talked myself into 0 or at most 1 preseason game. -
Predict the division winner: AFC North
Dadonkadonk replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Browns could win two or three division games this year. Steelers win division but not a first round bye. -
I appreciate your point and would be fine with Allen starting game 1. I just think four games of watching would be helpful for Allen. Letting the O-line gel for a few games would be helpful for any QB but a rookie even more so. Also consider the teams they play in the first four - Ravens, Chargers, Vikings, and Packers. Three of four on the road. It is the hardest four game stretch of the season. If AJ is 2-2 or 3-1 at that point you let him keep playing. If they Bills are 1-3 or 0-4, turn the keys over to Allen for the Titans at home. And while I agree there is no long term plan for AJ, a good run by him makes him a valuable asset in the off-season.

For the record I wanted no part of Dez before the Coleman trade and no part of him now. He is a less skilled and older version of KB. He has no ability to get deep and still doesn't run good routes. He is probably more physically imposing than any WR on the Bills roster, maybe even more so than every TE not named Clay. Still as a WR I don't see how he adds much to the WR group as it is now constructed. But as he is still available I was curious to see the board's view at this point.
-
I've said from day 1, if Allen is better in camp then go ahead and start him. If they are equal start AJ and see how the first quarter of the season goes. Just let pop-gun arm hold a clip board.

Use the franchise tag on KB. They can tag him for two more years. He is super talented but no one knows the long term knee issues he may have. He may be fine but they only need two more years out of him. They have two drafts and two FA periods to replace him while he is still controlled by the team. I can't think of another player that would be tag worthy in the next two years. I would be ok with a WR in FA or in round 2-3. But next year #1 needs to be the top OLB available. Even if they add an OLB in FA they should still draft another OLB in the first round.

Lol, but George still has a better arm than Peterman does
-
Good projection. I don't see them carrying 7 WR and 4 TE. It will be 5 and 3. That opens up another couple RBs. After Shady, I think they will unfortunately keep Ivory and DiMarco and then 2-3 more RB's. The 53rd spot will probably be a toss up between #6 WR or # 6 RB. It may come down to how fast Zay and Coleman progress over the next two weeks. I too would opt to carry an extra OL. There is some developmental talent there. It would be nice if they can find the G-C-G combo for the next few years so they can just focus on upgrading RT next year (though Mills is serviceable). I think 10 DB's is fine. I don't care much if it is 4DB/6S or 5/5. I would just keep the top 10 regardless of position. The reality is the bottom 3 are ST guys at best. As for QB, I would keep 3 or trade Peterman. Either is fine with me. If 19 teams went with 2 QB that means 13 didn't so definitely not out of the question. The reality is if AJ or Peterman start and stink, then the season is lost and they will just play Allen. Therefore they really don't need a third QB. That said, QB's get injured all the time and either AJ or Peterman might fetch a draft pick or an OLB down the road.

Why is bob Foster still on the team?
Dadonkadonk replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because they need camp bodies Because KB should not dress until the season opener Because he has speed Because guy 3-10 are basically the same. None of them will matter. One of them needs to catch punts unless they ask a DB or two to do it. Maybe the # 3 WR will get 25 catches. Otherwise the 1.5 per game. #4 and #5 will likely have less than 15 catches combined the entire year. -

There is more than one kind of lung cancer. Adenocarcinoma may be found in non-smokers. Even still most adenocarcinoma of the lung is associated with smoking and there is a very strong connection between squamous cell and small cell cancer. -
Interesting Astro Tweet re: Beane
Dadonkadonk replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Totally agree about last year. But come on Manning was the worst QB to win a SB and Wilson was not yet the QB he is now. You can win multiple ways in this league. Brady won his first two SuperBowls with defense. A great QB helps but so far Rodgers has only one ring in part because the Packers defense is crap. -

Seahawks and Broncos just did in the last 5 years. Not sure what you mean by slim odds -
Bills trade with Browns for Corey Coleman
Dadonkadonk replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unlikely. They will draft OLB in first round. Then DL, TE, and OT before WR. Trading Watkins was a mistake. And Goodwin was committed plenty to football. He just did more in the off season than his peers. That said with his injury history I had no problem with letting him go. -

Dadonkadonk replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This board was so happy to trade Watkins but is happy to add this guy. Watkins at least produced, this guy hasn't. But if it us a low round pick, the risk is low. I still doubt they cut Zay. But maybe he is also moved for a low round pick. -
That is what I said. He is doing what the coaches expected and want. I'm sure they don't want him to earn reps just wearing a helmet and shorts. They will let him earn more reps in live action. That would be awesome. I'm not into fairness. I could care less if Peterman gets any snaps with the first team the entire pre-season. I posted elsewhere, I would still prefer AJ if they are about equal in practice and pre-season. That gives the kid a few games to watch and lets AJ take on the hardest part of the schedule. If AJ is playing great then he keeps playing. If they are 1-3 after four games, it is Allen's time. But if like you said, Allen is truly the best guy out there, I would have no issue starting him against the Ravens.
-
It depends on the context. He is a first round QB that has yet to take significant reps from a 5th round 5 INT in one half second year player. I suppose you could call that disappointing. But to those that know, Allen is probably right where he should be. My guess and hope is AJ plays two series in pre-season game 1, Peterman the rest of the first half, and Allen gets the entire second half. Allen lights it up and earns significant 1st and 2nd team reps heading into game 2 and is the 2nd QB to play in game 2. All that said, I can't imagine Allen beating out AJ for the starting job against Baltimore at this point. If he starts in 2018 it will be later in the season.

COMEBACKSZN Manziel is back!
Dadonkadonk replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stop for a second and think that a GM used a first round pick on Manziel.
