Did you believe them last year when no one picked them to make the playoffs? Did you believe all the local media and a large portion of this board that thought they would win 6 games last year? 30% of Superbowl teams don;t even make the playoffs the following year. Injuries can completely destroy a team and turn a division upside down. The question that is creeping in my mind is - Are the Jets better than the Bills? Their defense could be legit top 5. People on here think our defense will be good put I'm skeptical of a defense that can't rush the passer nor stop the run when needed. I see a bottom 5 linebacker group, a below average D-line, and a hole at DB opposite White. Is the Jets offense any better/worse than the Bills? Far less playmakers on the Jets but their O-line may be as bad as ours. I see 6-9 wins for both teams and I can make arguments for either team being at 6 or 9 and may be largely due to the head to head games. A sweep by Buffalo of Miami and the Jets gives them a legit shot for 8 or 9 wins if they can pull an upset of one of the first four games.

You must have missed the dropped pick six. Peterman is Trent Edwards with a worse arm. It really is sad. He probably knows what to do but simply doesn’t have the talent. Best case is he is a six year back up.

Unfortunately, the 5 INT half may not be the worst we have seen. If he starts the first four games he probably adds 5 or 6 more picks and no wins.

Maj may have something here. I thought Miller was going to be better and he has regressed even more. Waiver wire and maybe a trade. They have excess at RB, QB, TE, P, and S. Package a player and a pick to try and find a serviceable G somewhere.

Because Beane fell in love with Edmunds and Zay Jones and pissed away our extra picks he got for pissing away the talent they already had on the team.

Ducasse cost them a 3rd round comp pick. He is awful. Makes no sense. And Miller has gotten far worse with Castillo. McD needs to make a change at OL coach. Hopefully Daboll demands a change

Groy was fine at center before Castillo arrived. The Bodine signing makes no sense just as the Trent Murphy, Ivory, and Star signings make no sense. Beane's free agency moves are a total fail so far. McD was much better on his own. Add giving away draft picks to move up in the draft and not getting any draft comp for Gilmore, and Beane looks like an idiot. I don't trust him with all the cap space next year. At this point I would take McD as GM/HC assuming it was him and not Whaley that ran FA/Draft before Beane arrived.

Cut it to 2 preseason games for 2019 and 2020 then eliminate them entriley, then increase to 18 games in the regular season of 2021, eliminate Thursday night games, keep the divisions but seed the playoffs and home field by record not by WC or Division Winner. Lastly, division winner must be 8-8 or 9-9 to make the playoffs. Any division winner with a losing record forfeits their playoff spot to the the team with the next best record after the first two Wildcards. Don't add any more teams to the playoffs.
