Going to have to live with the growing pains of a 20 year old at MLB. He will be a star next year. Milano and Lorax are the weak links. I would play Hughes at OLB in the base 4-3 and at DE in the nickel. If PED Murphy ever makes the field and Lawson continues to improve, I would play both of them at DE and move Hughes to OLB in the base 4-3. A rotation of Hughes, Lorax, Lawson, and Muphy at DE in the nickel would be fine. Milano or Humber can play the WLB in both.

Bills will start 2-0 if Allen is the Starter

If they start out 2-0 with two AFC Conf wins, they likely make the playoffs even if they drop the next two -
Worth another look: All of Bruce's sacks

Yup he got screwed on that play. But I thought he got the facemask too when watching it live -
Rob Ryan on Colin Cowherd today, a few interesting tidbits
Dadonkadonk replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why does Rob Ryan do Cowherd's show? He blasted the Ryans for years. Some of it justified but some of it a bit over the top. -
Castillo, Ducasse, Dennison, Peterman start, and Tolbert. You can’t explain away these decisions. So far McD has been ok but far from great. Good job with the secondary. Most game situation decisions have been ok.

Throws too many interceptions. Always has. -
Only a select few will ever now if the AJ injury factored into the decision. But who cares. Let it rip kid.

Josh Allen- One thing we can all agree on?
Dadonkadonk replied to GoodHands15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Superior arm strength is nice but not in the top 3 QB needs. Intelligence, accuracy, poise, leadership, pocket awareness, and athleticism are also on the list with arm strength about in the middle. The issue with NP is he doesn't even have an average arm. He can't play in the NFL with his arm just like Losman couldn't play with his lack of intelligence. Can he be a suitable back-up and execute a run heavy dink and dunk offense for a game or two? For sure. But that is not sustainable. -
Kelly isn't even in the discussion for top 10. As another poster pointed out, had he not called his own number so often in SBXXV he would not be a four time loser. Brady is the best of all time. Followed by Montana. Manning, Elway, Rodgers, Young, and Marino are in the tier just below. You could make cases for all of them to be #3 and all would be valid. In today's game I would probably choose Marino. At the time they played, I would likely go Elway, Manning, Young, Rodgers, and then Marino. I don't even have Brees or Favre in my top 7 and am also leaving out Unitas, Fouts, Baugh, Staubach, Graham, Bradshaw, and Aikman. That puts Kelly somewhere between 15 - 20. Was he a better QB than Bradshaw or Eli? Probably but that is 6 SuperBowl wins. Better than Namath - for sure. Starr? Probably. But those are the QB's that are in Kelly's league not anywhere near my top 7.

Khalil Mack holding out... in Buffalo
Dadonkadonk replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That doesn't fit the facts. 3/4 of the defensive secondary cam via Free Agency. 1/2 of the DL, the potential staring QB prior to injury, the back-up RB, potential starting C all came via Free Agency. And the team's best WR came via trade. Yes the draft has produced two possible QBs, the MLB, the OLB, the other 1/4 of the secondary, and the LT. But McBeane gave away a mint to get the QB, MLB, and LT. I don't think they values draft picks as only draft picks. I think like any good GM/HC they will look at any means to improve the team. Adding one of the best players in the league at rushing the passer in 2018 is of much greater value than unknowns in 2019 or 2020 -
Trent Murphy - Should we be worried?
Dadonkadonk replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hated this signing from the first day. Still on my list of surprise cuts. Not sure how his contract is worded and if it is prohibitive to cut him. I would like McD explain how a PED guy fits the process. -
Cover 1: Bills' Run Defense Continues to Struggle
Dadonkadonk replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lost in all the QB drama at San Diego and the late season playoff run, was the epic failure of McD's run defense. Milano is too small, Lorax too old and slow, and Kyle has never been that good as a run defender. It all started to go south after the Dareus trade but to me it didn't look like he was making that much of a difference on his snaps. He was getting some double teams but not all the time. This defense needs Edmunds to figure it out real fast. Then add two OLBs in the offseason via draft, trade or FA. Of course if they add Mack and Milano/Humber is the third LB then I would be happy with that. I would still prefer moving Hughes back to OLB and playing a bigger guy at DE. Oh and PED Murphy has yet to take a snap in a game that I am aware of. -
Before we put too much stock in this pre-season...
Dadonkadonk replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perfectly fine to point out pre-season doesn't equate to anything. Allen has yet to even play with most of the starters or go against a starting defense. That said there is nothing in this kid's story that equates to the worst or second worst NFL draft bust of all time. -
Time to end all-preseason games
Dadonkadonk replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No they don't. That is the point. College doesn't. NFL does not need them. They only exist because in 1960 these guys had second jobs and showed up to camp to actually get in shape. It hasn't been like that since the late 70's. It is a relic of a bygone era just like the wing-T. They are not needed. One day soon you are going to see a star refuse to play. Go ahead and say I'm crazy. But there will come a day when a star player is going to refuse to play in a game he doesn't get paid to play. -
Time to end all-preseason games
Dadonkadonk replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They thought the sun revolved around the earth. College has no pre-season and you could argue each individual game means more in college for the playoff. And yes most college first games are mismathches but many are not any longer. Time for the NFL to evolve. Cutting to two would be a start and they will find those games are unnecessary too. The product will be fine. These guys are professionals and have been playing for years. -
Dallas and the NFL just lost a true star player even if he is a guard. Bills may have lost their heart on defense and a team leader. It is time to end all pre-season games. Don't tell me about timing and figuring out roster spots. Week 1 of college is played at just as high level as week 4. The plays run in pre-season are not the same ones they would run or face in week 1. All teams would be equal in terms of preparation. They knew their top 45 guys after OTAs and their top 50 before the first preseason game. There is no reason to risk injury in meaningless games. If a guy gets hurt in practice so be it.

Posted a few times elsewhere. If equal Kirby pondered, I play AJ for the first four games. If Allen is clearly the better QB then you play him week 1. McD would lose the locker room if he does not play the best guy. The players know. But if AJ or even Nate can execute the offense at a higher level even without the arm and size of Allen then they should start. I don't think 4 games would make much difference either way but erring on the side of sitting Allen and letting him watch for a few games has little downside. That said, I don't think the competition is as close as we have been lead to believe. I think Allen is the best by far. That is why they moved him up to #2 and he will start week 3.

Need another QB with AJ hurt, but Who?
Dadonkadonk replied to Davejr511's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
AJ will be back. His contract is not that much. They just need a camp body to play 3/4 of game 4. -
Bills Run Defense vs Browns - 1st Series Analysis
Dadonkadonk replied to SoCoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edmunds just needs time. Milano is just not good enough. He probably is ok as a nickel OLB but he just isn't going to be big enough to play consistently in the NFL. They will draft an OLB in first round next year if they don't trade for Mack. Sadly they will need to replace both Lorax and Milano. So maybe a FA signing as well. With two first round draft picks maybe Milano or Humber is ok as the third LB. I like him as the backup or nickel. Just not in the base 4-3. -
Why is nobody discussing the offensive line?
Dadonkadonk replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Burn draft picks for Mack but not OL. Use FA money on C or RT. -
Why is nobody discussing the offensive line?
Dadonkadonk replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And this board laughed when I wanted DeCastro in the first round. Relax. They will be an average OL this year with Groy at C. Keep investing in OL. Miller is going to be very good this year. Dawkins will be fine. Mills is what he is. Groy will be fine. Teller is the LG of the future. Next year draft a C in round 2 or 3. Look at a new RT in FA. Or vice-versa. They will have a ton of cap money. Go get a top tier FA C or RT.
