1. Walter Jones 2. Jonathan Ogden 3. Anthony Munoz 4. Orlando Pace I'm stuck after 4. I don't know anything about Jim Parker or Ron Yary but Gil Brandt ranks them # 1 and 5 respectively. Assuming Brandt is correct about those two, then I would add Art Shell, Jackie Slater, Joe Thomas and Jason Peters to round out my top 10.

QB and system make the WR, not the other way around. This team need OL and Allen

The Bills First Offensive Play on Sunday Will Be...
Dadonkadonk replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Play action, max protect. 3 man route. Kerley far left runs a 12 yard curl, Zay in the slot runs a post, and KB runs a 16 yard deep cross coming from right to left. -
Predict the Score: Week 2 - Chargers at Bills
Dadonkadonk replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills 27 Chargers 17 -
Sorry guys but none of these guys belong in the HOF. Wall of Fame for Buffalo no doubt for some. But not HOF. No one thinks Kent Hull is even in the top 10 centers of all time. Tasker is an anomaly - truly great at his position. But they would need to add about 5 more kickers, three more punters, 10 more WRs, and 3 return guys before they put in Tasker. They should just give up on punters, kickers, gunners, returners and just make a special section for special teams and list a bunch of guys.

Tom Flores Don Coryell Ed Reed Tony Gonzalez Tony Boselli Those are the only ones I think are HOF worthy. Lots of great players but not HOF. Rhonde Barber, Russell Maryland, Champ Bailey, Richmond Webb are close but noty quite HOF level. Interesting uniform choices for those pics. Lots of players that spent the bulk of their careers with their original teams but photos of them later in career. Except of course Larry Centers. Albert Lewis in Raiders, Russell Maryland in Raiders, Richmond Webb in Bengals, Dick Vermiel with the Chiefs not the Eagles or Rams

He was rarely used yesterday. He is not very good. One would think with this O-line a double TE, two back set with a FB would be a good idea. Instead they ran out of the shotgun three WR most of the time. I just see no need for a FB in the modern NFL. Lee, Croom, or Murphy can do everything DiMarco can. Waste of a roster spot that could be better used for a third QB, a 6th WR, or another defender.

All those moves are fine until you waste the picks moving up in the draft. Dawkins and Zay Jones caliber players could be had without moving up. They got top 2 DB in the draft after moving down. Beane fell in love with a few guys and wasted the draft capital he built. Its all great if Edmunds is a great LB. Too bad 4/5th of the o-line would not make most NFL rosters.

When are the Bills going to cut Peterman?
Dadonkadonk replied to icewood44's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sign Kaepernick. He is not a great QB but is by far the best available. Then pass out copies of the Bill of Rights on game day. -
Taking a look at Brandon Beane's acquisitions.

You understand the dead money was created by Beane? You forgot Ivory and Jordan Mathews -
McDaniels is on the sideline with Tommy. Must be the secret we are missing

Roman's offense just put up 47 points and Lynn is the HC of next week's opponent - the LA Chargers. Yes the Chargers are no longer in San Diego. Nobody in Buffalo thought Woods was worth the money the Rams gave him. The problem is Zay Jones sucks and the Bills drafted him (wasting an additonal pick to move up) to replace Woods.

KB had a bad game but he got open on a deep cross and Peterman air mailed the ball 5 feet over his outstretched hand. The game was over at the half. The players knew it. They all gave up. This is what happens in the NFL. These guys save their bodies for the next game. Zay failed to get open the entire game. What about Clay? Did he even get a single target? KB will be better next week

I think most on this board do no romanticize having those players on the team. I think most on here try to evaluate the decisions that were made at the time and then also see the impact of those decision down the road. I think those decisions are key to evaluating the performance to the GM, HC, and Pro-personnel team. Most on here and our current GM believe the Bills should build through the draft. Ok fine. Then when you draft players like Watkins, Dareus, Gilmore, etc and then let them walk or trade them it is quite fair to critique the decisions. Take Dareus for instance. The draft pick in return is worthless. The run defense is worse. But the full impact of that move will not be known until we see what FA signings occur with the extra cap space. Gilmore is the starting CB for the best HC in NFL history. And somehow we should not question the decision to let him walk? No contract extension? No franchise tag? If you are going to credit McD with the 2017 draft then you have to add the Gilmore decision to his decision making body of work. And then McD and Beane need to own up to a 3rd round comp pick that was wasted by keeping a couple of FA signings on the team that offer little to no value. In many cases I have agreed with the decisions to let players go. I would not have paid Goodwin the money he got from San Francisco. But great for him that he is doing great. I have no issues with that decision. The Bills have the worst WR group in the league. Watkins should still be on this team and he would be the best player on the field. They didn't even need to extend his deal. They could have just picked up his option and used the tag the following year. These are all decisions that have consequences. I am not romanticizing having Watkins on the team. I am evaluating the series of decisions that produced the group of WRs on the field.

Hughes got some pressure today. He played well. Lorax and Lawson and PED Murphy offered nothing. KW and Harrison provided no inside rush. Star is awful. Modern NFL favors dropping 7 or 8 in coverage and hope the rush gets there. That isn't going to work with these guys. Mack or Miller or Suggs can disrupt an entire play by themselves. That is why they should have traded for Mack and now why they will go OLB/DE in first round next year. That said, to win this year, they need to bring 5 or 6 guys. Hope Edmunds' speed allows him to cover ground over the middle.

McBeane's management style is basic Lean or Toyota management system. It calls for constant and continuous improvement. It's management 101. And the team is worse in year two than they were in year one. Epic fail so far by Beane. He wanted a QB to define his era and he got his QB. To do that he has destroyed the talent and depth on the team. Their is no denying the talent level is worse - some for no fault of his own - RI and Wood. But there was no need to move Dareus and Watkins for the little they got in return. McD could have kept Gilmore or they could have cut players to get a 3rd round comp pick.

Will anything change before week 2?
Dadonkadonk replied to Brianmoorman4jesus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Teller will start over Ducasse. Allen will start. And Davis will start at RCB. I would not be surprised to see Zay not dress. He does not play ST's and he does not have deep speed. Only Foster can beat defenses deep. I would not be surprised to see Coleman signed back. -
How Many of Today's Starters Will Start Game 1 in 2019?
Dadonkadonk replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think KW will come back for another year but maybe he won't be starting at that point. Milano will be on the team but won't be starting. I still think Miller has potential and I thought he was ok today. For some reason I think he still can get better. Zay will still be here on a cheap rookie contract and will at least be the #3 WR. Groy probably is the starter at C next year as they focus on replacing Ducasse and Mills first. And lastly Hughes played well today. Got decent pressure and nearly had a strip sack. He is still under contract for next year. His cap hit is nearly 3 m to cut him. My guess is they extend him on a 2 year deal to lower his salary for 2019. -
Every Josh Allen Throw Vs. Ravens
Dadonkadonk replied to Prickly Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In fairness to McD he did not look ready against the Bengals. Peterman is fools gold. He does everything right in practice but is simply not good enough to play the position. Allen has all the tools. He needs to play now. -
How a PED guy fits the process I will never know.
