I've been disgusted by Midwest fans for a while now, ever since I watched a Penn State vs Iowa game, and the Iowa fans would repeatedly start booing whenever Penn State players got injured. The kids aren't even making any money out there, but the Iowa fans are out there booing players for having the gall to get injured and briefly halt their viewing pleasure? Just because they're injured!? How dare they!? It didn't matter situation, offense or defense, big play or small, up tempo or no, boos would rain down as soon as someone wasn't able to get back to their feet immediately. Happened to watch a KC game the next day, and the exact same thing happened with KC fans booing any opposing player who got injured. It was sickening. Can you imagine if this injury had happened in KC instead of Cincinnati? Instead of empathy, compassion, and understanding, we would have likely gotten, well, more of the same and more of the vitriol from the KC message board live and in person. Seriously? How in the world do you justify that conclusion? I remember Bills fans throwing snowballs at Dolphins players just days ago. Does that mean ALL Bills fans act like spoiled children?

Interesting so many folks think this team is just going to call it quits on the season….I expect the opposite and for them to play for Hamlin… Of course they would. This organization exudes inner strength and character. It's a recurring theme. In 1970, KC QB Len Dawson lost his father just days before the SB and he played lights out to win that game 23-7 over a heavily favored Vikings team. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. I'd expect the Bills to play with their hair on fire (figuratively speaking). Look out for us!
  3. How is this not obvious? Many of the comments by these fans are beyond stupid. You push the playoffs back 1 week. Problem solved. It's fair to everyone. So they only get a week to prepare for the SB. That's the time teams normally get anyway. So the media gets less time for interviews and hype. That doesn't bother me in the least. Also, I have to call out the dumbest comment of all -- The Bills and Bengals agreed to forfeit. We did? That wasn't everone including the Commissioner and NFLPA saying the game must be stopped? Hello?
  4. High character guys will use this tragedy as motivation. I pity the Bengals if we play them again.
  5. Move the playoffs back a week? Unlikely, but fair. I don't believe Damar's health is a factor moving forward for scheduling purposes. He'll probably be out of commission for some time. They aren't going to prevent us from playing while he's on the mend. I would really like to know the extent of the damage to his heart. Is it life altering? Will he retire? Heck, will he live? I'm anxious to hear. I really hope he makes a full recovery. At any rate, we shouldn't lose the #1 seed over this. That would be so unfair. I also don't see us forfeiting any game(s). That's not going to help anything or anyone except the other playoff teams.
  6. Mixon is 100% correct. Until someone else represents the AFC on Superbowl Sunday, that's exactly what the Bengals are -- Big dog. 13 hours ago, Plano said: helmet to kneecap You're embarrassing Bills Mafia. We aren't all children.
  7. 1. Rousseau 2. Diggs and 3. Poyer I hope White is back on track too. I'd love to see him get his 1st pick. I also think Jones will have another great game while being unnoticed.
  8. Definitely. He's not terrible by any means, but an OL or LB or WR would have helped a lot more. Shaq and AJ have kinda made Basham irrelevant. That's not what you want from a 2nd round pick. I really wish we could have drafted a better RT at that spot.
  9. 1 hour ago, LABILLBACKER said: I believe alot of the offensive struggles fall on Dorsey. He's not as innovative as Daboll and it shows. He's a rookie OC trying to navigate his way through a season with a mediocre OL. Constant pressure forces routes to breakdown quickly. Dorsey, I suspect, is learning as he goes. The talent around Allen is not good and Josh's arm is probably not 100%. He seems to sail a pass now and then and that makes for easy picks. Note that he's thrown many if not most of his picks since his arm injury. Gabe is streaky. Isiah isn't starter material. Shakir isn't ready. Beasley and Brown aren't scaring anyone. Singletary is above average. Cook is still coming along. The OL is a liability and has been for a while. I think our defense had better step up on MNF in Cincinnati if we're going to win. I don't see our run game having the same success 2 weeks in a row. The Bengals have a much better defense than Chicago.
  10. He's an above average run blocker and an elite pass protector. He would be the best OL on our roster by a wide margin. He's not the best, but easily a top 5 LT and still 28 years old. I'm sure Beane will be kicking the tires to see if it's the right deal for us. He could be the biggest name added to our roster if he comes to Buffalo, but we'll see. Beane made Morse the highest paid C so it's a possibility and Buffalo is an attractive destination now.

Poyer - Gone Singletary - Gone Saffold - Gone Phillips - Gone *Poyer likely gets paid, but the other three could be welcomed back on VERY team friendly deals. Edmunds - Back (gets paid) Shaq - Back (team friendly) Marlowe - Back (vet deal) Klein - Back (vet deal) Oliver - Trade for a 2nd RD1 - WR RD2 - OL RD2 - OL RD3 - S/DT RD4 - DT/S RD5 - RB I doubt we trade Ed Oliver, he’s very good, but he’s not elite .. and I don’t see the point of paying big money to a very good DT long term. I don't really see Oliver leaving unless he wants elite money, but I'm not assuming he won't be reasonable. We'll just have to wait and see.
  12. Good assessment. Just a couple minor differences in my mind and 1 addition. I like Singletary more than most, it seems. I think the best compliment to Cook would be a heavier back for snow games and poor traction conditions. At WR, I'd like a guy with world class speed. Diggs has decent speed, but a guy like Hill gives defenses headaches. Lastly, we need upgrades across the OL except Dawkins who would be better at G. Brown might develop into an elite OT, but right now he's a liability -- Not the worst, but way closer to the bottom than the top. I don't get why people overlook him when evaluating our OL. He's the weakest link and it makes no sense. He has elite athletic skills, but plays like a backup.
  13. I wonder if he'd feel the same way if he'd signed here. I suppose it wouldn't have worked out, but I've much respect for him. 1 hour ago, Captain Hindsight said: Arizona was becoming irrelevant, needed to bring the spotlight back on him You're saying he's a prima donna? I've never gotten that impression. Look where he spent his career. I never heard anything negative from him. Did I miss something?

  16. 2 hours ago, Dick_Cheney said: How big of a loss for Cinci is losing their RT? The depth on the OL in Cincinnati is terrible. Rousseau needs to have a big game and I think he'll be pumped. He knows Adeniji is severely overmatched.
  17. This is clearly the biggest game of the 2nd half of our season with huge postseason implications. We are favored by a razor thin margin. Ball security will be paramount. Adeniji is a huge liability at RT and Rousseau needs to take full advantage after a lackluster performance against Chicago. Allen needs to play well. If the weather dictates a run first approach, that means not trying to force anything and just make some nice plays while avoiding turnovers. Josh was lucky he didn't have a couple more picks in Chicago. He has to make better decisions on Monday night and I think he will bounce back.
  18. On offense, it's clearly Singletary with Cook a very close 2nd. Josh had an off week and they carried the load for him. McKenzie played well too. He needed a good game. On defense a number of guys played well, but Oliver stood out. Milano and Johnson did too, but you could probably go with several guys here. Shoutout to Jordan Phillips for playing well with 1 arm. Tim Settle also gets a nod for a solid game. Jones gets my unsung hero award. Daquan has made a very noticeable improvement in our run defense as our 1-Tech. I can't say enough good things about him. He's making the guys around him look good.
  19. Well, I thought they'd wait until the offseason, but I honestly don't see much success in Hackett's future as a HC or as an OC. Rogers carried him in GB, but he's been exposed. If he has any success going forward, it can only be in the NCAA. Please don't bring him in here again. He'll ruin Josh like he did Wilson. I still think Wilson will be successful in Denver if they hire a competent HC or OC.
  20. I think Mixon is their biggest threat. He doesn't get enough credit IMO. That said, our run defense is much better than last year. I also think D Jones has really helped keep our LB's clean.
  21. Shaq Lawson has been playing well too. Our depth on the DL is excellent.
  22. Every team doesn't have to have a great QB for the league to be successful. It wasn't long ago when there were only 6 or so great QB's and the NFL didn't fold. Far and away the biggest obstacle to expansion is the economy, not talent. 2 hours ago, billsfan714 said: I know Derek Carr is the poster child for just because you play QB does not mean you deserve 40 million a year. See Kyler Murray also. Anyone think Bronco fans have a lot of hope in the next 5 years when they will be saddled with Russell Wilson's contract. --- I'm not convinced that Wilson is the problem. Let's see what happens next season after Dino Hackett gets replaced with a real NFL caliber HC.
