  1. Singletary and the entire defense. This game features 2 very good defenses and Singletary's success will set up enough game changing plays to tilt the final score in our favor. GB will play with determination, but the Bills will show that they are made of sterner stuff. This Bills team has heart.
  2. Maybe OL help or depth at TE and RB. Maybe a veteran S on a 1 year deal? I'd say the OL is still our biggest weakness. I don't see OBJ coming here unless there is an injury and he is the replacement. Just don't give up any serious draft capital at this point.
  3. According to medicalnewstoday.com, roughly half of people will get cancer in their lifetime. Before the industrial revolution, that rate was more like 1 in 16. Draw your own conclusions. In any case, it's a tragedy. I've known far too many people who've died from cancer. I hope to hear soon that Sam is on the mend. Once a Bill, always a Bill.
  4. I don't think Saffold is 100%, but clearly RT is our biggest problem on offense and Bates' spot could use an upgrade too. I'm afraid there won't be anyone available at G or RT anyway and I doubt Beane is going to get desperate and make a bad deal.
  5. Stick a fork in Brady. Age has finally caught up with him, but what an incredible run. I never hated him either. He deserves every accolade he's received. I don't mind that he gave it one last try either. He wants to set the bar ever higher and I admire that even if it doesn't work out. The Bucs are still tied for 1st in their division at 3-4. One more playoff appearance for the record book maybe? That would be his 48th playoff game and the 20th time he's taken his team to the playoffs. He really is the GOAT.
  6. Sad to hear it, but at least he had some great success and made some money for his future.
  7. We need an upgrade for Moss. Singletary is playing very well. If we're so concerned about the run game, we should be trading for upgrades on the OL, not keeping Singletary on the bench.
  8. I don't care if we don't sign McCaffrey or OBJ. I want to keep Poyer and get help for our below average OL. I love Spencer Brown's innate ability, but watching him attempt to block is a nightmare. Bates is a backup and for whatever reason, Saffold has been underperforming -- lingering affects from his car accident? This is clearly our biggest area of concern, if not our only area of concern. OBJ would be a nice add, but not if it keeps Davis or Shakir on the bench. McCaffrey would be a nice add, but not as nice as a probowl caliber RT or even RG. Singletary is playing very well and no one notices. Cook will be fine if not great as long as he focuses on ball security. Upgrade the OL and you upgrade the skill positions. Big names sell tickets. McCaffrey and OBJ have earned their reputations, but we don't want other teams doing to us what Miller and Rousseau are doing to them. That takes the ball out of the hands of our very talented weapons a few times per game. Josh is good under pressure, but he's unstoppable with a clean pocket. So let's upgrade the whole offense.
  9. Quessenberry is an upgrade anyway.
  10. I knew he was elite, but he's been up against the best LT's in the NFL so far. Lewan & O. Brown are above average, but Armstead and Staley are also elite. Not to mention Bahktiari is up next and another meeting with Armstead is coming. Trent Brown is very good and he'll face Von twice. Throw in a couple tilts with Taylor Decker & Duane Brown and that's pretty much the best lineup of LT's you can put together minus Trent Williams. To have 6 sacks at this point is crazy. If Von's not still the best playmaker at the Edge position, he's on a really short list.
  11. Here's a little advice from an "ol' timer". Don't try to match wits with people that are smarter than you.
  12. The Bills are certainly the class of the AFCE, but Miami gave us our only loss and the Jests are no joke. Even the Pats looked good today. The Jets and 'fins have been adding talent with a lot of draft capital as well as key FA aditions like we have. How do you see this division shaping up for the future? Are those solid rosters? Will these young QB's be great? Which other AFCE team will be our greatest challenge?
  13. I lose a little respect for people that give a guy like McKenzie an insulting label like "Lil' Dummy". Does he not work hard? Is he not talented enough to make an NFL roster in multiple seasons? Is he a disruptive presence in the locker room? Yes he's been playing poorly and his future is uncertain, but why the disrespect? I could see it if he wasn't making the effort, but that's not the case. He's not making a fool of himself online like so many others have done. He's not trying to blame someone else so he's being a man about it. By the way, the pass from Allen was well behind him. Maybe he should anticipated that and 'sat down'? The responsibility for the fumble is questionable, but it looked like #6 should have turned sooner. Maybe that's the way they practiced it and the lateral was an instant too soon. In any case, Isiah played poorly, yet deserves both criticism and respect. Those 2 things are not mutually exclusive.
  14. Diggs (10 Rec, 148 yd, 1 TD) and Miller (2 TFL, 2 Sacks) get my game balls with Josh JUST behind Diggs. . Others worth mentioning were Shaq Lawson (1 TFL, 1 Sack), Devin Singletary (107 tot yds) and Reggie Gilliam gets an atta boy. Who knew our FB could make plays? Heck ya! Who stood out to you?
  15. Oooooh iiiiit's aaa beautiful day in Bills co-ountry. A beautiful day in Bills co-ountry...
  16. I do think he'll have to do more to wear that crown, but 1 thing is abundantly clear. Gabe Davis would be the best WR on several rosters. The offseason WR concerns were overblown and that day 3 guy they drafted 'too late' is probably as good or better than most of the WR's drafted last Spring. They should have given a game ball to Beane. Even the backups were ballin' out.
  17. If it's 1st class, then yes. I often fly across the Pacific in passenger class. I'm 6'4" and275 lb. By the time the plane lands in Korea or Japan, I can't wait to get out of there. I'm guessing these guys will be travelling in style. I heard 1 team even had a chef onboard for flights. I don't know if that's true though.
  18. Oh! How will I ever recover from this? He must be banished for all time!
  19. Of course it's Von, but #50 is taking a big step in the right direction and that has me excited. I wonder how much of that is on Von's tutelage.
  20. I suspect Benford will see time at S before (if at all) White does. Maybe next Spring? Maybe never?
  21. Nailed it. I couldn't agree more. This is especially true because Cody Ford isn't very good. If he were a probowl G and we'd kept Teller, this discussion would be moot.
  22. This isn't the worst OL in the NFL, but there's no doubt that it isn't one of the better ones. Bates is still below average, but hopefully he still has a long way to go before he hits his ceiling. Brown has much more potential based on his measureables, but he's measurably worse than Bates right now. Watching Brown get spun in circles by Ogbah was painful to watch, but I understand why they leave him in despite the fact that Quessenberry is better than him right now. Brown and Bates are still young. I still expect Beane to make a bold move on the OL this coming offseason. It's still a great roster overall.
