  1. Wings & beef on weck vs. crab cakes & pit beef. I guess I'm probably biased, but that's a blowout.
  2. They say cheaters never win, and winners never cheat - but those things are wrong. It's like when Newt asks Ripley why parents tell their kids there aren't monsters, when there are. Cheaters DO win. This saddens me.
  3. The only SB I went to was the one where Paul McCartney played. It was awesome - one of my favorite shows just generally. Most since have been pretty forgettable. Maybe the Bills will get Metallica when they get there.
  4. I haven't watched Seattle much - but he was relentless yesterday (and while injured). I was totally impressed by him. All over the field. Just one game, but I'd love to have a guy like that.
  5. It was interesting watching yesterday. One thing I remember about Sammy is that uncanny ability to get WIDE open. On the plays he made, that's exactly what he was. We haven't had many guys like that over the years. Even on Allen's long throws this past season, guys were pretty well covered. I'm not sure what he did to get such a bad rep here. It's not his fault that we overvalued him. It's hard for some fans to step back & judge a player on their merits, rather than where they were picked or what we traded for them.
  6. Here's a fun question: if he did come back here on the current roster, where would he be on the WR corps? I love Brown...but I think he'd still be #1. #2 at minimum.
  7. I'm w/ those who don't see this as a big deal. I also never saw much in the way of attitude issues when he was here - some sporadic stuff, but nothing outside of the usual WR realm. That position is one where you see more ego than most, and I actually worry more about the guys who play that position & don't have that. It was fun to watch Sammy make some big plays as the game went on. He never justified trading 2 first rounders, but he's a real talent & playmaker regardless. I loved it when he was a Bill & still find myself rooting for him (obviously, when he's not playing the Bills).
  8. Romo it the best, imo. There really isn't another announcer like him - I lost count (a long time ago) of the # of times he accurately predicted the next play/formation/outcome, as only a player could. There are a lot of former players who are announcers, but none have displayed his level of insight. On a side note, I sometimes felt like I was the only Booger fan in America. It seems like he got a lot of criticism, but I always found him entertaining.
  9. The counter-balance to that is New England. I think they're in for a rebuild, at long last. For once, the division is wide open. But the counter to that is that I think both the Phins and Jets will be much more competitive. The former because Flores looks to be an excellent coach, and the latter because Darnold could potentially be a great QB. He has shown some real flashes, and I think if he didn't miss the 1st part of the season, the Jets might have been right there at the end fighting it out for one of the WC spots. Daunting task ahead, for sure, but I trust Beane. I think we'll be in a position to take the division - but there are so many close games. We'll need a few bounces.
  10. I wish the Bills got spots like that...
  11. Gotta give Reid credit. The team came out flat, but didn’t fold. Great resiliency.
  12. I just see no reason to use this game to slam Allen somehow. I agree Mahomes is special. Would you trade Allen for Jackson right now? Allen was always more raw, but with mire upside than just about anyone. Let’s get the guy a few more weapons and see what he can do in year 3.
  13. That’s extreme. You know that Allen doesn’t even have 2 full seasons under his belt, right? Let’s see how it shakes out in the next few years.
  14. Texans vs Titans? Really?
  15. Maybe getting the bye isn’t the best thing...
  16. I’m with the KC/Reid crew. He really deserves it.
  17. The Chiefs will make us feel better today. The Texans & the "great" Watson will not get past that team in KC. If they do, Reid's reputation is well-earned. I don't think that's the case, though. The guy can coach, and will have that team ready.
  18. The Chiefs will likely dismantle them next week. They got a little lucky yesterday. The team they played was rusty, and not ready for the bright lights of that game. Not taking anything away from TN - they were ready to take advantage of that. But they probably won't get that in KC, and they're not built to come back or score the kinds of points they'll need against KC.
  19. People love to make comparisons in football. Especially w/ QB's. Allen is Allen & the Bills are the Bills. They're going to forge their own path.
  20. Maybe, but I didn't see that last night. He made some amazing throws, and his receivers had some uncharacteristic drops. Maybe he will be a flash in the pan, but I don't know how we can conclude that w/ one game.
  21. Man, twitter & the rest are going off on Lamar & the Ravens. People read SO much into one game. The Ravens came out rusty, and the Titans were ready. That's really it. Had that tipped pass not gone INT in Q1, they probably score and it becomes tough for the run-centric Titans to come back on the road. That's why they play the games, and why the playoffs are so exciting. But to write an epitaph for either the Ravens or Jackson's "style of play" is silly. They had a bad game. They'll be a force in the AFC for years.
  22. Vrabel is one of my favorite "newer" coaches. You can tell that team takes on his personality. Did anyone catch his expression when the Ravens decided to go for it on 4th down in their own territory that 1st time? He was stoked. He wanted the chance to stop them and seize momentum. He's fearless, too. I probably read too much into it, but when you get that kind of break, you have to go for it. When the Ravens made the stop, they went for the throat, and Tannehill unleashed that long TD bomb. I felt like the Bills should have done that in the 2nd Pats game when we got the fumble in the 1st quarter, but we played it safe.
  23. Isn't there a 16-game ban for that kind of offense?
