  1. By some accounts I've read, White really isn't that far from Lattimore in talent, and as a 4 year starter is more nfl ready than quite a few guys picked ahead of him. How are we conceding the season by trading down for an immediate starter at a position of need, and adding another likely '17 starter in the process? That's quite a conclusion you arrived at there.
  2. I completely disagree with the sentiment that the Bills concede that they're not a playoff team because of the trade down. No logic to it, at all.
  3. Agreed, but they still overcome injuries better than just about anyone, and always have great depth.
  4. Please expound. Literally, that is what the pats have done for years. It's why they are one of the best teams at overcoming injuries. But I'm interested to hear what case you can present.
  5. Silly. Personally, I'm looking forward to our extra pick today, and having 2 first rounders next year. As well as a guy who might be pretty close to as good as Lattimore.
  6. Gilmore wasn't worth what the pats are paying. Glad they didn't overpay him regardless.
  7. The Internet age has really complicated drafts. Fans read mocks and watch YouTube for a month or 2, and it leads to a sort of false sense of who should go where, and who the Bills "should" take at a given position. It's just not like that. I'm not discounting that some may put in serious time and really know their stuff. But even with those guys, it's a small fraction of what scouts and decision makers put in.
  8. It was for Deion Sanders too. That's literally the only major weakness that was consistently pointed out in scouting reports posted online.
  9. He had some 1st round grades, but regardless, that was part of the reason for the trade. And as others have said, it's what the pats usually do. Better to have a few very good players instead of one great player.
  10. That sounds a little too certain. I doubt McDermott will give even one more thought to Foster, until the Bills have to play against him.
  11. Can't speak for this board, but bbmb blew up when Darby was picked. And not in a good way.
  12. To the critics - what do you base it on? Kiper's "big board"?
  13. Hard to complain about this pick. Fills a need, ready to start and sounds like a leader.
  14. I'd be stoked. While it would be nice to have the kind of talent you can get in the 10 spot, it's better for us this year to make a minor sacrifice in quality for quantity. Lots of starters will be available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
  15. Watch him get fired, and then Watkins plays 16 games and has a career year, Ragland, Lawson and Seymour all break out as star players, and we finally get great coaching and make the playoffs.
  16. A lot is made of that and I agree it's a big deal, but it's also true of a lot of gm's. Even great gm's miss on Qb's.
  17. Agreed. This is one of those 'careful what you wish for' things for some fans here. We could get a better gm - but we could get someone much worse. Whaley has a unique ability when it comes to identifying talented players, imo.
  18. Tyrod Taylor is really underrated by this fanbase in general. It's interesting - when I talk to fans of other teams, they hold him in higher regard than many here. I can't wait to see what he can do with real coaching and better receivers.
  19. We'll have to disagree on that one. We finally get Ragland and Lawson for a full season, as well as Watkins. Good depth brought in. Draft coming up. I remember when Moorman was our best player. Whaley has done a more solid job than many seem to think.
  20. He deserves this season, imo. Let's see what this roster he built can do with a capable coach.
  21. Well, his coaching covers for gm mistakes also. I'm convinced that you could put he and Brady with any roster in the nfl at this point. And they'd make a deep playoff run. A bit too much is made of that 11-5, though. That team was undefeated the previous year.
