10/13/2025 Bills at Falcons - Post game thread
boater replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The vibe of TSW... The "Fire McDermott and Beane" crowd and the "Bills suck" crowd (who were abused children, BTW) are going to have a heyday with their posts this week. The "I told you so's" will be unbearable, even more unbearable than a Patriots fan or a WGR caller. It will be curious to me whether Allen gets takes any heat. Criticizing him is verboten among the negative nancies, will they put their blinders on and overlook yesterday's performance? It's going to be a long two weeks until we visit the Panthers...who are undefeated at home. This will get uglier before it gets better. -
Maybe the owner of the Dolphins is a tightwad. He has to pay McDaniel if he is fired and maybe he doesn't want two HC on the payroll at the same time. It's small numbers in the big picture--but you'd be surprised how cheap some rich people can be. I suspect Ralph Wilson thought that way about firing coaches.

That's why I usually use the slant bar s to notate my sarcastic comments. I frequently misinterpret sarcasm myself, so I don't down-talk people who do the same.

His face really is punchable. That is the extent of my pre-game day analysis today.

Yeah, that. Along those lines, can't the Superbowl be on Saturday?

I know a player might choose to take a risk in the moment. But often they are a retired player filled with regret years later when their brain turns to putty. They end up complaining and suing the league.* So I, for one, approve of the concussion protocol. * some with CTE scrambled brains become walking sociopaths among us like Aaron Hernandez, Junior Seau, or OJ Simpson (I'm convinced OJ had CTE).

Social D and their inner Johnny Cash.

Daboll is a hothead. The military has a label for leaders like him "He's a screamer" I worked for a few screamers, it was miserable. Remember when Daboll worked the sideline and screamed at Josh--and Josh's numbers were not very good? Josh instantly improved when Daboll moved to the booth. I think McDermott moved Daboll to put a buffer between him and Josh. To the subject at hand: interfering with the medical tent was a spectacularly bad move. WTF was he thinking? He's not going to change the neurologist's mind or speed up the evaluation. Daboll has poor self control, it is his undoing. I'm gonna take that as sarcasm.

Yuck, who goes for that NYC thin slice? If I wanted sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on a glorified tortilla..I'd order NYC pizza. Chicago deep dish, iIf I wanted a casserole on top of dough..that's what I would order. Detroit pizza and Buffalo pizza are interchangeable, they are similar to each other. The only way to roll.

How the Bills coaching staff is prone to fail sometimes
boater replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. Maye-->Diggs was lights out phenomenal. (if Diggs played that well for the Bills, I'd respect him, but he dogged it his last year) 2. Josh threw a critical Red Zone interception. That's the entire game right there. The granular X and O's were not that significant in the loss. -
Boatless at the moment, I had a Finnsailor motorsailer. She was too much boat for me to single hand, so off she went. Too bad, she was quite comfortable.

This place is dreck after a loss.

That is illogical. With finishes in the standings at 13-4, 11-6, 13-3 etc. it is obvious the Bills have shaken off last week's loss multiple times a season.

Agh. All white again. Those pesky Falcon chose dark, forcing us to choose all white. Well played, Atlanta.

A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well
boater replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thought... why couldn't that ****** Diggs play that hard when we faced KC in the playoffs? He was holding back when he played for the Bills. That kind of behavior from a professional athlete burns my britches. His play last night made me angry, still am. -
The refs did not throw that interception in the Red Zone, so I'm not going to put the loss on them. The penalties were appropriate for both teams. The Bills were sloppy.

The Ray Davis-backup running back discussion

Davis: 2 carries for 1 yard. Enough said. Bring on Gore. -
Coming out party for the D-Line Sunday Night

I hope you're right. We're overdue for some pressure on the QB. Beane spent the offseason building up the DL... and so far all we have is a rubber biscuit. -
How very true. I'd bet there is a correlation between someone's tenure as a fan and their appreciation for the team today. Plot: X axis=fan tenure in years, Y axis=how much they appreciate the team as it is today. Thesis: the "Super Bowl or Bust" types, or the "Fire McDermott" types are younger fans who know only the good years and don't appreciate the entertainment provided by the current team. the more patient and appreciative fans are older ones who lived through 4 Super Bowls, and/or the drought.

NY's Draft State Energy Plan is at this link: https://energyplan.ny.gov/Get-Involved/Comment also at the link, is a link to a form to submit your feedback. Many people heard about all-electric new home construction starting this January. What many people don't know, replacing natural gas water heaters, stoves, furnaces after 2030 is prohibited--if your gas equipment goes kaput after 2030, you must buy an electric solution (most likely a heat pump). Many people don't know this and many people don't know the ramifications. For me, a heat pump is a non-option for many reasons I won't detail here. It may be the case for you too. And my gas stove or hot water heater... they can pry those from my cold dead hands. You might also have opinions on: the readiness of the power grid to do this, the price of electricity, the demand for electricity in the age of AI data centers, the ban on what they used to call "clean burning natural gas" etc. You may have all kinds of opinions. Let Albany know your thoughts!

boater replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 31 Patriots 27 Drake Maye is very good, and the Bills defense stinks. -
