  1. This appeared in my morning internet surfing. This kid got an appointment on the spot.
  2. Ugh. This place must be Hell to moderate after a loss. Infrequent posters show up and start new threads full of vitriol--recycling each other's threads. Often, the editorial content they provide is mush, just lots of emotion.
  3. I think Jimmy is a made up persona. Only a WNYer would bring up Jessica Pegula in a post.
  4. Sabres. No playoffs since 2011. At least when the Bills had a drought, there were flashes of competitiveness. But the Sabres are just bad. I don't think Lindy has it in him to raise the team a level.
  5. The difference between mediocre coaches and exceptional coaches... exceptional coaches excel at in-game adjustments. E.g. Belichik was the master at in-game adjustments. I believe doing in-game adjustments is a skill picked up from experience. Joe Brady will soon be good at in-game adjustments. Everything will be fine.
  6. I see getting a straight answer is difficult. I don't know about stadium watch parties. If I were to go to a watch party, I would try Chippewa Street: https://chippewablockparty.com/products/buffalo-bills-block-party-bills-vs-texans-sun-oct-6
  7. I always return the cart. Well, truthfully, I have guilt over the one time I didn't return the cart. I was at a Food Lion (an awful market) in Virginia Beach, they had zero carrels to return the cart to. There weren't even curbs to jut it on. So I left the cart just standing there. As I drove away, I saw a wind gust sail the cart right into a BMW. I have lived with that guilt for 20 years.
  8. Yeah, here is a good video reminder of Diggs disappearing in the playoffs. It hurts too watch.
  9. "In late fall, this committee will select three Seniors as Finalists" 3 of 60, I don't see Tasker making the final cut.
  10. The Zero Tolerance for Errors crowd is in full swing after a loss. We can fire people until we get the desired results, high turnover is successful. It has worked for Cleveland and others, right?
  11. Fans were lulled into unrealistic expectations by the 3-0 start. This was always going to be a tough season. It may be a 10-7 or 9-8 season, but playoffs are definitely on the table. The future is bright. PS: I'm glad I'm not one of those "Superbowl or bust" types. I think such unwavering expectations detract from enjoyment of the game. It could be a 15-2 season and some peeps would be seething with anger without a Lombardi.
  12. Overreaction Monday commences. The usual negative posters are in their glory.
  13. The Jets owner, Woody Johnson, is awful. He is meddlesome, with bad results. Terry Pegula looks like the Patron Saint of football by comparison.
  14. 8:20 start. Wonderful. I hate night games. This early riser goes to bed at 9:00. Not tonight. My vote for impact player: Kincaid. Ravens have trouble with the middle. Heck, they have trouble defending passes anywhere.
  15. Joe Ferguson would have had a good time with this roster. He was a above average QB surrounded by mediocrity. Ralph really was cheap in that era.
  16. A spreadsheet is all fun and games until it's over a hundred rows, then someone is going to lose an eye. EDIT UPDATE: there comes a time when you need a database, even if it just MS Access. I've seen too many people rely on clever spreadsheets with 1000's of rows--that eventually go cockeyed and all the sudden you have a problem. Click a wrong column here, click Sort there... and you are doomed.
  17. Crabs are a purchasing and cooking problem. The alternative option which is very Maryland-like.... cooked shrimp smothered in Old Bay Seasoning. https://sundaykitchentable.com/2020/10/21/shrimp-smothered-in-old-bay-seasoning-garlic-butter-paprika-and-pepper/ (source: a guy who lived in MD for five years)
  18. Putting his portrait on the side of a building really had a positive impact. We should do it every week. We're going to run out of buildings.
  19. Daboll made Head Coach because Josh Allen made him look good. Today he is struggling. When teams look at Brady, they will wonder if it is another "Josh Allen making him look good" situation. Teams will want to see more of a track record from Brady to get over that concern. I don't expect Brady to get a HC gig until 2026.
  20. The Bills are plasma. Pure plasma, man.
  21. In WNY: Duff's on Sheridan makes messy-saucy wings. The dining room is noisy as hell, for those of us with hearing problems it is hard to converse. The best Duff's is at Eastern Hills mall. Their wings are not over-sauced and are crisp. They make a damn good pizza option was well. Anchor Bar Main Street was the bomb in the 1980s. It was the best, it has gone down hill since. That's a bummer.
  22. What I like about the Bills: every player on the 53 is a starter.* Next man up. * except, maybe, Trubisky, he's awful
  23. I ate too much at the pregame meal. Good luck or not, I won't be doing that again. Sorry guys.
  24. In statistics, they call it Dispersion. The Bills have high dispersion in pass targets and it leads to winning. If you have low dispersion in pass targets, you don't do so well. Case study, the Bills win over the Jaguars versus the Texans loss to the Vikings. Check out the reception statistics for both games, look at the numerical beauty in the stats. The Bills will have a successful season with multiple receiver targets. Who needs an iconic WR1?
