I remember @Gugny telling me that was on you for not keeping better company. 😋 I’ve never had a problem, but I know it can be very real. If you are not a jerk, life tends to get easier. Be a jerk, or worse, a drunk jerk, and trouble will find you. On one trip back to OP I was sitting next to a young drunk Jets fan. He was harmless, but loud and obnoxious early when the Jets were doing well. He was getting a bit too much attention. I explained that I was just trying to help and I was all for him enjoying himself. THEN I explained that if he gets beer thrown at him and I get hit I was no longer trying to help him. It was like flipping a light switch. Something flashed in his eyes when he realized I was serious, and he was all alone. It worked, and we both stayed dry and healthy.

There is a reason eskimos have so many words for snow. It comes in many different flavors. The snow that won’t pack is harmless. Then there is the other end of the spectrum, and that stuff can do serious damage!

I hope any fan who does throw a snowball on the field gets carted off to the slammer. Just enough to get people’s attention. I hope they gear up with more security and make a high profile effort to remove those people pronto. That is no longer fun and games, it’s over the line. Others will see and learn.

I will give the same advice I always do in these situations: Don’t trust Bills Backers info you find on line. It may be helpful, but I’ve been burned that way in the past and have learned to call and verify. The info on line in some cases is out of date.

It must have felt a lot worse after watching Knox have a really good game. Still, I don’t want my guy putting that out there on mic’d up. What we know so far is he doesn’t block and he’ll never be the poster boy for “team leader”. But he sure does kill us sometimes!

How often should you have a 100 or 500 year storm? My math is fuzzy on that. It seems like we are the only team having crazy weather games in the last few years. I KNOW that is not true, but it just feels like we are being picked on in some way, much like the starting QB when Fitz is your backup.

I despise DTV dish with a passion. They have the worst customer service of any company I can think of. If you want to add something they are there for you. If you have a problem or want to drop/reduce service they ghost you. It’s darn near impossible from my experience. Having said that, I defended the cost to my wife by saying it was the only way to see the Bills. She can’t complain about what I spend on seeing the Bills, and she knows that. We now have DTV Streaming as well as the dish. Every once in a while the streaming goes out and needs to be reset. If she thought it was expensive to have DTV to see the Bills, I wonder what she’ll think of it as a redundancy measure for a few minutes every quarter. She will have to find out first, however. 😋

When our kids started having kids we realized that celebrating Christmas is best done when it is convenient to do so. We don’t rank high enough to do much of anything exactly on December 25. We will have the grandson Christmas Eve day, and the new granddaughter is in Florida at the in-laws. We will get together and celebrate the holiday and time with family when it’s convenient for everybody. On 12/25 we will probably take a meal and some things to my mom in the nursing home. First time ever for that, and it breaks my heart. But we will be glad that we can be with her. At 95 years old you have to be happy just to be with her. That will be my Christmas gift. That happened to me as a kid! The wrestler tied me up in some move and held me under the water in a pool……and he was the LIFEGUARD! 😱 I thought I was gonna die. That may be the source of my claustrophobia. I had forgotten about that after years of trying to forget it. Ugh! Where is a therapist when you need one?

AMEN! I had a college buddy at the tailgate who was not going to the game. He drove us over to the stadium on his way home. About half way there I realized how lucky we were to have a ride on a chilly wet day. It was farther than it looked.
