Damn! Good to know! You just saved me $1,000.

Oh, the more digits you steal means that much more you can spend on your legal defense and cover up as needed. The big time bad guys have a better plan than my guy. My guy was slick enough to slip away, but he thought small and was impatient. This was about 1990 and we didn’t have the technology for security we have now. Had he stayed a few more months he would have figured out how to steal ten times that or more skirting security on wire transfers. I could have gotten millions. Sweet old Jeanne trusted me. 😂

Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson among others reinstated by MLB
Augie replied to Gregg's topic in Off the Wall
I really liked Shoeless Joe in Field Of Dreams. I don’t think he did anything bad. Pete? EDIT: I have to say that I don’t care. -
OK, not an executive, but a guy who worked for me in a bank branch got away with $41,250 in cash. Yes, I remember the exact amount. Fairly clever, and right before a 3 day weekend so we couldn’t verify it was missing. He skipped town and I never saw him again. Fast forward a year or two, and word comes in that he was arrested in the LA airport. They just thought he looked suspicious, and he unraveled. No telling what else this con man was guilty of, but I know it started with a cruise in Mexico. He went to jail somewhere, and I hope to never see the creep again. My sister used to teach in a prison and quit when she started seeing her students back on the streets.

A buddy grew up in a small town in Canada down the road from the Friggenesi sisters. I may have spelled that wrong, but it’s pronounced the Friggin’ Easy sisters. He spoke of them often. I’m not sure what mom and dad can do about that except try to get them married early! 🤣 .

My buddy has a granddaughter named Llana. The extra “L” in the front is so that if you spell it backwards, you don’t get anything to be teased about. Who thinks of this stuff?

I hope the Chiefs next make the playoffs when he gets out and can be there to cheer them on live.

Sorry, off topic, but the thought made me chuckle: My wife’s parents were very “old country”. Other than a couple times on the golf course, and eventually in the hospital, I never saw her father not wearing a tie. English was her mother’s third language (after Arabic and French) and she spoke in a very formal way. It’s what she was taught in boarding school in Lebanon, not growing up in the Bronx. Very different. We moved to Sarasota, FL in 1993, known for Siesta Key beach. Naturally, we wanted to take my MIL to all the great things in town when she came to visit. The opera house was great, but I had to tap the brakes when the wife wanted to show her the beach. Her dad was always in a tie, and her mom was ALWAYS in high heels. I asked my wife how she saw that going, and we just cruised thru the parking lot. That girl is going to sink into the grass, but there will be no shortage of people eager to help her up. .

I’ve always wanted to work in landscape management. I would give her footwear a one time exemption.

Not an electric mower, but we had a self propelled mulching mower when I was a teenager. I was racing the kid across the street to get our lawns mowed before we could go somewhere. I finished first and mowed his name in his front yard. The mulching mower worked. His name grew in greener and seemed to grow faster. His father made me come back and mow the whole front yard so it didn’t look so stupid. Oops! EDIT: I think my sister still has that thing and uses it in the short Wisconsin summers. That’s back when things were built to last. .

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
Augie replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would you rather have paid more for better? How about everyone else in your section? -
My son has/had an electric mower. He got a little more than a year ago. When it died recently, he paid someone to come out and tell him they are basically disposable now, like TV’s. It’s quite possible he got a cheapo model (that would fit his style) but I suggest you look into reviews about durability. Not trying to discourage, just offering a bit of experience. Good luck! EDIT: He says the guy who came to look at it said water had apparently gotten into it, which is apparently a common issue. Worth knowing if it’s easily avoided. He kept it in the garage and never used water on it. 🤷♂️ .

Technically, he did play at Mississippi State on 11/23/17, and he did not score a TD. He had one catch for 5 yards. Clearly I have too much time on my hands.

The seats would look bigger if we saw Dalton Kincaid sitting in one. -
Just imagine being so rich….. Crazy, I know. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/derek-carr-gives-up-30-million-to-retire It’s his life, and I’m glad he’s living it the way he wants. I hope he’s happy.

ABSOLUTELY! The poor guy never had a chance behind that line. It’s hard to come back from that kind of beating without flinching, but I looked and he still got about 10 years in the league and about $40mil. Good for them. Interesting tidbit speaking of brothers, did you know Reid Ferguson’s brother is/was the LS for Miami?
-
He had better have something very nice for Mom tomorrow. Good for him lasting as long as he did. His brother set a record for sacks early on and we’ll never know what he might have been. I think David made $40 Mil, which is still a lot of money for some people. 🤣 Very different times and different careers. .

That sounds like his unreasonable way of seeing things. I’m glad he’s not my father. My kid was never valedictorian, but I’m still very proud of all he’s accomplished.
-
He seems deliberately obtuse here, and it’s getting old.
-
Did you miss the part about 10th most in yards? How about the torn PCL? Is there anything that pleases you?

He will be 26 in September. The last year of his contract and a franchise year gets him to the age of 28 as an NFL RB. I’m not sure how many more years I want to commit to for now, but I do love the threat he brings on every play. This may be a good compromise.
