  1. If we are commenting on third round picks, why stop with our guy? Let’s look a little deeper for a more full and accurate picture. It looks like he was picked at a bit of a turning point, by a team with a SB calibre roster. I copied and pasted this from another Landon Jackson is disappointing thread: “5 hours ago, Bleeding Bills Blue said: Why'd you cut it off at 72? Seems like a strange number... almost as though picks 75, 76, 80, 82, 88, 89, 91, 98, and 99 also haven't played in the 3rd round.” I think this helps to present a more fair and complete picture.
  2. It clearly appears to have been a turning point in the draft, since about half of the next 15 or so players are in the same boat. I bet some of them were on inferior rosters, as well. I think a true and fair picture of the situation would include those facts, as well.
  3. It also appears to be deliberately misleading, so there is that…. It seems that it came right around the tipping point, but let’s not paint the whole picture when we can prop up a narrative instead.
  4. Back when we had lousy teams during the drought he would have gotten plenty of snaps. Would that make people happier? This is part of having a good team. I wish he was looking like an All Pro, but I can’t say our current situation is shocking.
  5. That’s the backup plan if the football thing doesn’t work out.
  6. And they always said you could not improve…..never mind, that was something else.
  7. The next bad groin or turned ankle may be the opening of that door for Jackson. It’s the NFL, and it’s a long season. .
  8. Do I need to add the words? .
  9. Memorable drops count way more than regular drops, just like with catches. Ask Stevie Johnson. I think Lynn Swann made it into the HOF based largely upon one super acrobatic catch in a Super Bowl. He was never great….I know….different times….
  10. If you’ve been to the beach in recent years you know it’s a huge market opportunity!
  11. I can tell you this, if we trade a TE before the deadline, one of the two remaining on the active roster will be injured in no time flat. That’s just how it seems to work, sadly.
  12. Jefferson would have been struck by a bus on his welcome to Buffalo tour and retired to open a pizza and wing joint on Transit Rd. The Bills can’t have nice things, but we sure have a lot of great pizza and wing options! Finding that top 3 type of WR would be great, but I’m good with how things are rolling. But it would be fun to watch.
  13. Yeah, but this is the first I’ve heard of the weakness at WR. Oh wait…
  14. Just out for a little scenic cruise to get some fresh air, I’m sure.
  15. We are currently #2 in the NFL with 33.3 points/game. We were also #2 in scoring for 2024. So YES, something is working pretty darn good. And Josh is NOT the only player on offense, or the team, for that matter.
  16. This is sad. Gee, I have to wonder why the 3rd round was (cherry) picked. Why not the 2nd round, or the 4th and 5th rounds? Oh! I think I know! That wouldn’t put the FO in a bad light, and that is why we get out of bed in the morning. You don’t judge a draft just a few weeks in. You certainly don’t judge one round and think that is a meaningful comment on the FO. Let’s put this level of effort into 4th and 5th round picks? How do we look now? Genius? The truth is somewhere in the middle, as usual. .
  17. The action was on the water with shipping and steel, until it wasn’t. Oops.
  18. Oh Goodness! I’m just glad you lived to tell the tale. 🤣
  19. That’s interesting. I recently took my wife to visit, and while she enjoyed the Gorge Watkins Glen and the views from Niagara on the Lake, it was the food she was still talking about a week later. Mostly in an “I’m glad I think I’m back to normal” kind of way. But that’s not just her, I get it too. The first time I took her to WNY was by car, and she was surprised by the rolling farmland and vineyards. She didn’t expect all asphalt and yellow cabs, but it’s mostly agricultural and very pretty.
  20. You may be able to get a good deal on a used bag of frozen peas.
  21. I thought I could sneak that one by….. 🤷‍♂️
  22. Indeed! She has enough…..for you.
  23. If you’re talking about the city, I’d rank it the smell of weed, the smell of urine*, and the constant construction so you are always walking on a sidewalk under some kind of cover like it’s a war zone. (*with an Honorable Mention to vomit, but that is more New Orleansy.)
  24. Yes, I’m sure it’s all about the money. At least I don’t have to buy another new a subscription to watch those ugly helmets. I’m not usually a uniform guy. I don’t really care what they wear, including actual white on white. I’m afraid the desecration of our classic helmets disturbs me the most. It’s all about the money. .
