  1. I’d like to see that, but we’d need to look closer at the options. To be clear, my wife loves Easter, and she also loves the best sleep on earth that comes with the anesthesia for a colonoscopy. That does NOT make her a (complete) weirdo. .
  2. When our son was young I came into the room to hear him screaming at my wife “I NEED A DOCTOR! WHAT KIND OF MOTHER ARE YOU???” He then proceeded to vomit every jelly bean from his basket all over her nightie. Some appeared to be un-chewed. Every day should be Mother’s Day. We love those warm Easter memories. 😂 Easter was THE Holiday of the year for my wife’s family. Bigger than Christmas. It was strange for me at first, but everybody is a little different and that’s ok.
  3. I went into a bar yesterday for lunch and there was basketball on TV. It took me a while to realize it was the NBA. I didn’t ask them to change the channel because there were other TV’s to watch. NFL players try on every play of every single game, unlike the NBA. If you don’t try in the regular season, I don’t care about your playoffs.
  4. You made me look it up! I’m guessing trebuchet is having a record number of searches today! 😂
  5. He was very slow to come back fully from the ACL. He may just be the same way with the Achilles. I’m not expecting Prime Tre, but I bet he’s physically and mentally ready to be able to help. I like the move, and I like the guy.
  6. I don’t think we could toss him over the LOS.
  7. Not to mention, your broken ashtray has to be better than anything I saw in those photos. It’s lacking, I’m just sayin’
  8. A college buddy who I think was a cop, went to law school and is now a prosecutor replied to this ^^^ on a text thread with: ”Saved that one. I used to say, please step out of the car, and watch them fall on their face. Whoops, you just failed the Field Sobriety Test. Too bad, you seemed to have done a lot of cramming.” 😂
  9. Where is Joanna Gaines when you need her??? 😂
  10. As a Xavier grad, I agree it’s a gorgeous area. No comment on the rest. 😊 Good luck, I remember those college shopping days oh so well. It goes by fast! EDIT: That’s just about a perfect distance for you. Kids want (and need?) to get away a bit, but not too far. For me Cincinnati to Buffalo when the speed limits was 55 was less than ideal. .
  11. I’m jealous, that’s one of the few I’d really like to see. I’ll go to different cities to see Bills games, but that’s generally about the game day environment. I’d be happy to just take a tour of the Vikings stadium. Minneapolis is a sneaky nice city, too. EDIT: I did see a Bills game in the dome in Minneapolis. The old dome. The Bills lost to the Redskins in the SB. I’m glad they tore that place down. .
  12. I actually loved the NBA back then! Now I won’t even watch the Finals and I change the channel if the NBA becomes the topic. EDIT: WOW! That brings back some memories. I may have been at that game! We split four season tickets with another family and spent a lot of great times sitting in that second level bowl in the corner. It felt like we were on the court, and a friend had even better seats. We were not wealthy, it must have been very affordable compared to today. Somebody has to pay those enormous salaries, but it won’t be me. I could go back and watch an old Braves game, but you can’t make me watch the NBA today. EDIT: In retrospect, nobody who ever met my father would describe him as wise with money, so there’s that. 🤷‍♂️ But it sure was FUN! . .
  13. On “normal” houses you traditionally get 94-96% of the asking price on a properly priced house. With more expensive properties it’s not unusual to see sales at 20-30% discounts from asking.
  14. You’re correct about it being likable to the masses. That house won’t offend anyone’s sensibilities. I used to perform and review real estate appraisals. On relocation appraisals they ask if there is anything about the house that may negatively affect marketability. Nobody ever enjoyed getting dinged for their terrible taste and how they hurt the house. They’d want to talk to you when they get that news! 😂 Also, cost/SF arguments are meaningless unless you adjust for everything else. How’s many acres are you on? Do you have travertine floors or vinyl? Do you have a pool? Those are all big questions, but it’s the same old story: kitchens and baths sell houses.
  15. Ski resorts with people filling up outdoor spas in single digit weather with the steam rising is still a strange sight to me. I’ve never actually gotten in one like that.
  16. I’m not arguing or taking a position, this is just an observation: Every time I fly into Buffalo I am surprised when I look down and see so many pools! Both in-ground and above ground, there are far more pools than I would have expected.
  17. Maybe he’s finally recovered from his torn ACL and Achilles? He was just starting to look like himself after the ACL when he tore the Achilles. He was slow to come back, but he was getting there after knee surgery. Maybe he’s at the point where he fully trusts the Achilles again. It seems worth a shot to me.
  18. He was just starting to come back from the ACL when he tore the Achilles. Hopefully he’s just a slow healer, but gets back to form.
  19. We needed some help at Goalie. Worth a shot.
  20. I haven’t even heard that. My point is there is no reason why this should even be an issue if everybody acts like grownups. I think they kind of deserved each other, because I just don’t think much of either.
  21. So, you mean they are immunized? I don’t doubt that the Jets are fools at times, and I’m no fan of Rodgers either, but WTH happened here? And why? There had to be a better way. Take the high road and do the right thing for the right reason.
  22. I moved to Cincinnati for college in 1977. There was no way to follow out of market NHL teams then. .
  23. As a guy who lost track of the Sabres when I left town in ‘77, that seemed like a peculiar comment to me. But include the Sabres and I get that. It’s funny how your perspective changes things.
  24. This is not news, but a question: Have we made any significant changes to our scouting in the last year? I know guys get poached, or guys are added, but anything to cause hope or concern? I generally like Beane and his moves, but I’ll pretend this horse is just laying down and resting and beat it one more time - we need to draft better, especially high. The Eagles have drafted a Pro Bowler from 2018 to 2013. If only we could have half those hits….
