It’s vintage already? Did you pay extra?

Will gambling ruin the NFL and sports in general?

OK, Porter sounds vaguely familiar, to give you a gauge of my awareness. But again, I ignore the NBA as much as possible. -
Great call on Taxi.

My wife is out now learning to play mahjong with a good friend of Celine’s tonight. Funny that this keeps coming up. My wife’s recently deceased first cousin (but more like siblings one year apart) had a production company that did a lot of events for Celine. David Foster and his wife performed at Michael’s funeral. They were very close. Now my wife and his widow are entering new chapters together with my wife retired and her widowed.

To your point, I’ve heard nothing about this. But it’s also true that if anyone starts talking NBA I change the channel. What happened? -

I don’t see it ever becoming a “league problem”, but I think they are susceptible to individuals like Tim Donaghy, the NBA ref who got caught. I don’t ever see the whole thing being rigged, but individuals are another story and much harder to control. Individuals, refs and players, are where they could be vulnerable. Any scandal is going to lead to a lot of backlash the league wants no part of, but I don’t see how it’s totally avoidable. People are going to be people. . -
This time of the season is about as busy as we are nice.

If I were local and could easily get my 11 year old grandson there, I’d probably give it a shot. It seems like a thing a kid might enjoy. I’ll watch them play football, but I have no burning desire to just be in a room with any of those guys. It would be mildly interesting I suppose, but it’s just not my thing. Make it pitchers of beer and buckets of wings and you’ve got my interest! 🍺

I know nothing about UFC, but I know for a fact that every year is a new year in the NFL. I’ve been watching a long time, and I’m certain of that. You never did, until you do.

I am seeing a theme emerge. There are far worse interests.

Exactly, I’m not going to worry about something that hasn’t happened yet. When it’s time to do what’s best, it will be more clear.

People say Shanahan, but I think he’d be less than a great fit with Josh as QB. He gets by with Purdy at QB because the QB just executes the offense. Get the ball out to this spot at this time. That would seem like a waste of Josh’s most special traits. Oh, and those guys already have jobs, too. You should dream for something possible. What would that look like? Of course, when we change HC we change coordinators, and they have different schemes and player needs. So there’s the element of starting over to some degree, with no guarantees of anything. I’ll take the devil we know, because he already has us as perennial Super Bowl favorites every year.

Sure, pick the first ballot HOF coach. News flash: Andy Reid already has a job. Guys like that don’t just grow on trees.

I feel pretty confident that most fan bases feel the same way from time to time. Nothing is perfect in life, but I do enjoy that we get to some big moments. Fingers crossed that he gets the Bills over the hump sooner rather than later.

I want to catch one last game at Rich Stadium late in the year...

As long as we have sinks, we’ll be good to go! I hate that I just typed that, but…… -
I pray that there is some sort of statute of limitations on the whole 13 second thing. The ST coach and the DC are gone from that fiasco. I refuse to make myself sick over it years later. Live, learn, and move on.

Why do you think he’s hit his ceiling? What indicates that? I tend to think that people get better at their job over time given more experience. I’d say McD has done that up to this point, so why should he stop now? That’s the way it’s supposed to work, and from my experience how it typically goes. How long did it take Andy Reid to win is first Super Bowl? Now he does it about every other year. .

It’s very nice when you can plan the transition of your roster. Some things will work, some will not, but you took your shots and now you know. I’m thrilled that we no longer look to cut down day for offensive line starters. Those were dark times. I’m glad we can all participate in this group therapy session. What a bargain!

I have very little doubt that it will be “ready” to host fans for a football game week #1. I think they will still have a lot of behind the scenes items to finish, but I doubt that there will be much for fans to notice as “undone.” I hope I’m right. -
Our first 3 picks were set back by injuries, while Coleman and Carter had flashes prior to being hurt. Bishop was injured early so that significantly held back his development. Ray Davis was a solid contributor and I’m eager to see some more of Javon Solomon. he’s got a bendy, twitchy skill set we otherwise lack and may be a nice roll player. It’s not easy to break the roster on a SB caliber team, and I have hopes for solid contributions from the 2024 draft. We may even have our future starting Center, if not for the backlog of talent on the OL. I think it is FAR too soon to judge the 2024 draft.

Dawkins and Torrence "snuck" into the new stadium.
Augie replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, this was no accident. The place does look great though, and if the seats can hold Dion then I think the average Bills fan will be OK. I have to wonder if that part was in direct response to the common question out there about seat size. . -
Who, exactly, has determined that Beane completely busted on the 2024 FA and draft class? Can we wait until they have played some football first before determining this? That seems like the prudent approach to me, but you feel free to be you.

We can agree to disagree here. Shanahan is about his system more than the QB. I don’t want to dumb Josh down and use him like a stronger armed Purdy. Now, would I like pass catchers running free? Of course, but I don’t think Josh and Shanahan’s system are a great fit.
