Bud, I think Sal made a good point in that if we elevate an O Lineman, we get to 10 so 2 squads. The reasoning is with Allen getting the starters and Trubisky getting th 2nd stringers, if Allen has to go back in we get the starters. I thought logical. Well see what happens.

IDK why you guys care about the popularity contest like the players top 100. The important ones are the 1st team all pro, 2nd team, MVP, and the ROY awards, And even offensive and defensive player of the year awards. Those matter and mean something. If Allen doesn’t get the pro bowl, that should tell you everything.

IDK TPS, with Josh active to start the game so activate a 3rd seems excessive. If for some reason Trubisky gets hurt in the game, they’ll just put Josh back in to finish. The coaching staff is going to call a conservative game with lots of handoffs so the liklihood of a Trubisky getting an injury is a small one. We have other players we need resting and Imlike you’re second point is sitting Cooper and Shakir.

We’ll be lucky to sit 8-10 at best. Good point. I didn’t want to say anything before and before anyone asks, you can only activate 2 in a given week for the PS.

I always try to look at the bright side, so based on the schedule and how teams performed this year, most of the contending tough teams will be at home barring an international game.

Let’s hope 2025 is even better than 24. My family wishing you all a wonderful and blessed year.

Do you want the Bills to win this week?
machine gun kelly replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
I only answered yes, as I think the problem is mitigated with safety by resting at least 11 of the 22 starters. If it’s an either/or then safety. I could care less if the Cheats get the #1 pick, as they alepready have Maye so they’ll bundle that pick for multiple picks which is what they need. The difference is I have zero confidence in Mayo as a coach. -
Guys, to put in perspective through 16 games in defense, we’re 11th against in points, 13th against the rush, and the place where lacking is against the pass at 22nd. So, I’m not stating we are the 1999 Ravens on defense, but we’re also not atrocious, and balanced with 2nd highest scoring offense in the league. I also think as one person pointed out, we’re getting healthy and that will only improve as any questionable players in terms of health will sit Sunday.

Bill, I’m guessing the same with a healthy Milano, Bernard, and Williams we’ll play more base (3 LB’s) which means we’ll be more susceptible to the pass against Baltimore. Cine may also play more as well in that game so it’s not normally a great idea pulling one of our best in Taron, but we’ll have Taron out there for Denver and KC if we get that far. These base ideas are unique to our Baltimore opponent. The key with the Ravems is clog up the middle along with a base defense, and you invite Lamar to only throw outside the hashes. He can do that, but not nearly as well as the other elite QB’s like Burrow, Josh, and Herbert.

Yardage Predictions for Bills Receivers in 2024
machine gun kelly replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was just going to write the same. Hondo, I appreciate the exercise. You always have thoughtful posts. -
Special K, you’re problem is you’re watching talking click bait heads on ESPN, FS1, NBC Sports, etc. Who cares what morons like Stephen A. Smith as one example. These buttheads on purpose will not credit the Bills as they know we have one if the stronger fanbase and people go insane. IDC. I’ll add beating the other SB attendee in the same few weeks span and not convinced we have the best team in the NFL possibly up there with Philly. The injuries is overwhelming to the Lions, and the Chiefs have lucked into how many wins. The easiest answer is when we beat the Broncos, Ravens, and Chiefs in the AFC hunt, we’ll see if we face MN, Detroit, or Philly as MN has been strong in just about every facet of the game. I feel we can definitely get to the SB this year, but winning will be a challenge. All three likely opponents won’t make it easy.

Agreed. Historically it’s been Saturday at 3:30 and 8 pm. Sunday is 1, 4, and 8:15. Monday at 8:20. I just don’t want Monday night as most likely one day less if rest for our team. This boogeyman thing with the Bengals is a bunch of talking heads remembering the Bengals from 2 years ago. Their defense is one of the worst in the league, hence 8 losses. I’m sure it will be the Broncos, and probably an afternoon game. Most playoff years there is an AFC and an NFC game on Saturday, and so on.

But, but, shouldn’t we fire McD (insert sarcasm). In all seriousness, that was such a special moment watching Kyle in that locker room. Peaks and valleys GB, peaks and valleys, but couldn’t agree more.
-
It’s a moot point for now, they are locked up, and tackles can last awhile when they are elite. The interior is also set so the line is not an issue I think of now that we have played this well for two years.

McD confirms Allen to start against the Pats
machine gun kelly replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re right, but those talking head idiots don’t get a vote. They don’t matter. They are just making fools of themselves. -
I’ve only listened to the first few minutes, but BB’s rationale makes sense. Now I don’t know if he brings up in 13 Tom had 13 years of experience and a HC ought to trust him by that time, vs. a rookie or someone with less than 4 years in the NFL. As a side note, I may have despised that guy as the Cheats HC, but he has been great in the booth and on podcasts.

I was going to crack off jokes, but in all seriousness the real problem like a few other teams is the owner. Jeff Bezos has expressed interest in buying the team, which the league would be drooling to get a N.Y. owner worth $237.5 bil. The only other NFL family with $ like that is the Walton family in Denver. Look what they did. Hire Sean Payton, one of the best coaches over the last 15 years, give him the freedom to make hard decisions like Russel Wilson, and watch a quick turnaround. Any of the top flight coaches with lots of experience like a Jim Harbaugh (another quick turnaround team) and decision making powers of a GM and assistants with solid compensation is the way out for the Jets. Now, I’d rather not that have that happen as we’d have competition in a few years, so a Wrex hire would be great.
