  1. I think that the poll results so far showing 2 games most likely but possibly this weekend. (if he breaks off one or two good chunks could do the trick)
  2. I guess we should all start watching more of "The Simpsons"...
  3. I thought that Morse was allegedly the one responsible for calling out the protections? I also noticed on several occasions that our right guard seemed to be getting out of his stance and pointing at the defenders - what would that have been about?
  4. Phillips should definitely be re-signed. Especially with the ACL injury that Harrison Phillips sustained. Thanks to Gase for cutting him in the 1st place!
  5. As others have mentioned already, I like Allen's growth that we've seen so far compared to other recently drafted QB's. (Goff, Trubisky, Darnold etc...) I think having Daboll around to nurture Allen for his 1st 2 seasons has been a big plus and hope he sticks around for another season at least. Consistency is a big plus in my mind in a young QB's development. I also like seeing Allen stay in the pocket longer and throwing the ball away when the play dictates. Just having a young QB who wants to be the best he can be, putting in the time and effort to be all he can be AND wants to be HERE long term. Can't ask for much more IMHO. I had originally wanted the Bills to draft either Watson or Mahomes the year before but think they still did pretty well getting both Allen and Tre White the way they did. These two players are definitely keepers and will help form the core of the Bills teams for years to come. Now the Bills have to keep building around these guys. It's also nice to see that "Smoke" is under contract for two more years at a very cost friendly price. Overall the future looks very bright for this team! https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/john-brown-14502/
  6. We all want to trust our doctors. That has been drilled into us from the time we were kids. But doctors are human too. Mistakes do happen unfortunately. That's why doctors have malpractice insurance for one thing. And a "team doctor" is gonna pay deference to those who write him his paycheck. That is also why the NFLPA has protections built into the standard players contract guaranteeing players the right to a "second opinion". But ultimately the responsibility falls on the individual himself, if he has concerns about any part of his medical treatment or lack thereof, to seek out help from an outside source. As we have now seen in both this case and the NYJ v Kelechi Osmele situation, the team is not gonna do it for them.
  7. I'm also glad the Bills didn't waste any draft picks on aging vets who may not have much left in the tank. (see AJ Green) Plenty of time in the off season to see what is out there when the Bills will have plenty of cap space available to spend without sacrificing valuable draft picks needlessly.
  8. Technically speaking, a loss by the Jets eliminates them from winning the AFCE, not necessarily from a wild-card spot.
  9. Mike Evans would certainly be a nice addition. Here is what his contract currently looks like: https://overthecap.com/player/mike-evans/2946/ A rather large but affordable base salary for next season in particular but after that not as bad. Depends on what TB wants in return...
  10. After today will ESPN call the Bills "the worst 6-1 Team in NFL History"?
  11. …Wind Advisories in effect for Chautauqua and Southern Erie counties until 6 pm Sunday. Wind Advisories in effect for Northern Erie, Niagara, Orleans, and Genesee counties from 10 am through 6 pm Sunday. Sustained southerly winds of 15-30 mph with wind gusts upwards of 45-50 mph at times expected. Wind gusts may be strong enough to blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, resulting in a few power outages… per WIVB...
  12. A young QB is not gonna have a good chance to succeed if you don't build around his strengths and see to it that he gets the coaching that he needs. Consistency IS important to their development. What is happening to Rosen is criminal. Why did Miami give up a 2nd if they aren't gonna give him a chance to succeed? Why didn't the Jets build Darnold a better Offensive line in the offseason? The Jets I believe had more cash to spend than the Bills yet looking at these two teams while the Bills went out and brought in a bunch of guys, the Jets sat on their a$$es after shelling out huge dollars for a Rb (Bell) and a LB (Mosely). Is it really any coincidence that the Bills and Ravens are having winning seasons and appear to be headed for the playoffs? None of these young QB's are ready to step right in and be instant stars in the NFL. They played in totally different systems in college and it will simply take time before they are truly ready to lead and win games for their respective NFL teams. Too many fans want instant results yesterday and it simply isn't gonna happen.
  13. Actually, I like Godwin. I'd be happy to get him. I'd give up our #2 and maybe something else to get him. (just not the #1) Godwin by the way still has a year left on his rookie contract. If we could trade for him and sign him to an extension I'd be very pleased.
  14. Unless either Mike Evans or Mike Williams becomes available no way Beane trades his #1 pick, nor should he. The Bills are having a fine season and barring injury to Josh Allen they should be favorites to grab a wild card slot but they are not one player away from a Super Bowl appearance. There is no way that A J Green is worth a #1 at this stage of his career. He is a 31 yr old player trying to recover from torn ligaments in his ankle, whose best days are most likely behind him.
  15. He says Bills have the Best Chance to beat the Patriots...
  16. So let me get this straight. We are now criticizing this team because their defense is not "all time great"? Some of us are unhappy because we are only 5-1? Have we somehow forgotten about the "good old days" [sarcasm ON] when this team was truly pathetic and out of the playoff picture entirely by this point in the season? We finally have a front office and coaching staff that has made this team relevant once again and some of us have to nitpick everything that is not "perfect"? Get over it people!
  17. Jordan Palmer starts talking about Josh Allen around the 9:57 mark...
  18. Actually, Hernandez and the Patriots are on top. OJ wasn't actually convicted (criminally) whereas Hernandez was found guilty.
  19. As far as Josh Allen is concerned, I seem to recall quite a few members of this same site who have expressed similar feelings about his future as a "Franchise QB" - some still do in fact... Yes the Bills have a long season to go, and injuries will no doubt have an influence on their final season record, but what they have accomplished so far is certainly worth noting and is deserving of respect. As the song goes "Be Happy"!
  20. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/15/pfts-week-seven-power-rankings-2/ We're movin on Up...
  21. Here are the latest stats on Miami: http://www.nfl.com/teams/miamidolphins/statistics?team=MIA 5 sacks so far by their defense... Pretty putrid...
