  1. I wouldn't exactly refer to them as "jumbled up stats". I posted the actual links to the Pro Football Reference page which has a wealth of more info on it for those who are interested in such things. Each to his own I guess. Some fans want more info while others want less. No harm either way as far as I am concerned. The essential thing here is that McBeane have a promising young player on their roster at a very affordable price for the next several years while the Jets seemingly overpaid and in my view could have used that money elsewhere (like their offensive line) to strengthen their team overall.
  2. All contracts for drafted rookies are now a mandatory four years in length and no such contract—even for young players who are dramatically undervalued—can be renegotiated until after three years have passed under the contract. ... As of this writing, several teams have their entire rookie class under contract.May 14, 2019
  3. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SingDe00.htm https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BellLe00.htm Compared to what the Jets have paid Bell, Singletary was a real bargain! Another great move by McBeane!! And to think the Bills will have him cheaply for another 3 years!
  4. I also don't recall anyone making such a racially insensitive remark about Donovan McNabb when he was playing for the Eagles, who wore dark green jerseys either. As I recall he was a fairly decent running QB at that time too! PS. You might consider taking your own F'd up advice!
  5. I was born in mid 1950s... Went to H.C. Technical HS (AKA: HUTCH TECH) Grad class of 1971 Went to my 1st Bills game at "Ye Old Rockpile" (AKA: War Memorial Stadium - Where they actually grilled the hot dogs back in the day!) Go Engineers and GO BILLS! Yeah - That's the right song... He's OUR Guy!
  6. Using that rationale shouldn't EJ have had a more successful career playing with the Raiders wearing Black uniforms? Dumb thing to say!
  7. Bah Humbug! Just tell that GF/Wifee of yours that she'll have to wait till the game is over!!
  8. Cutting Star is a possibility. The cap hit would not be that bad and can be spread over the next two years if that happens. Murphy has had a quietly good season. Star helped himself though with the deflection of the Dallas FG try at the end of the 1st half on Thanksgiving. Depends what happens the rest of the way and who the Bills draft early in rds 1 and 2 this offseason. I'm not expecting any big name signings in FA either. Allen and Edmonds are just in their 2nd seasons. Lorax will no doubt retire and Hughes will be gone by the time we need to extend Allen and Edmonds. Bills are in fine salary cap shape.
  9. Watched Cleveland @Pittsburgh at 1pm. Now watching Oakland @KC. Tonight New England @Houston.
  10. I think the Bills end up keeping Haushka unless he misses another "gimme" FG the rest of the way. There are no guaranteed better kickers out there right now. Haushka did make a longish FG against the Cowgirls after all. And Haushka is familiar with kicking in the wind conditions at New Era Field.
  11. After this weeks Cleveland@Pittsburgh matchup both those teams play Baltimore and @Arizona. Cleveland plays the Bengals twice in addition to Baltimore and Arizona. Pittsburgh plays @Jets and home against the Bills in addition to Baltimore and Arizona. So I guess we root for Pittsburgh to beat Cleveland assuming Bills can beat Pittsburgh when we play them...
  12. Maybe a better question is "How many other NFL teams would Brandon Beane trade Josh Allen to, for their QB straight up"?
  13. Frankly, I don't see any or your points mentioned here. Why does the NFL "need to step in and make some form of supplement league"? It would seem to be all too obvious that they don't. Going all the way back to the days of the USFL these leagues have all failed - every one of them. I don't see the XFL doing any better to be honest. Alot of fans currently transition from the NFL to the NHL and NBA in the late winter to early spring when MLB comes into play. I don't see any need for another semi-pro football league. I haven't even mentioned so called fringe sports like MLS, minor league baseball, Nascar, the Pro Golf Tour, MMA, and Professional Wrestling just to name a few. Do you remember World Team Tennis? So who exactly is out there to support another sports league? Didn't we just see the AAF go under as well? Honestly, I think that sports is and has been oversaturated with these failed ventures.
  14. WE are not PAID sportswriters. We are just fans. Just another example of sloppiness and inattention to detail. Who the h3ll is this guy who wrote this piece of sheet?
  15. Exactly what strain of weed are you smokin and where can I get some???
  16. I think that the Bills (both offense and defense) are rounding into form (aka: peaking) at just the right time.
  17. That is what I meant... Whoever this writer is, whatever he may have been smoking, he pulls Zay Jones from out of nowhere and then essentially cites the Bills Twitter feed as a source... Scary!
  18. Beat those Cowgirls! Can't think of a much better way to spend Thankgiving afternoon.
  19. I am pretty sure that Tre White's new contract may eat up a portion of this cap space as well and a decision needs to be made on Dawkins as well. Shutdown corners and Left Tackles generally are two of the core building blocks of any team....
  20. The truly scary thing about this quote is that the source cited is the Bills PR Twitter...
  21. Right now the only game I am thinking about (and hopefully the Bills are too) is Thursday afternoon against the Cowgirls... Take em one at a time...
  22. So on a related issue, Can CFL players be signed as FA after the Grey Cup Game is over and still be eligible to play in the NFL immediately? Are there any players out there that the Bills should be taking a look at?
